I wonder if he will ever come across Doffen Har Daua, or has he already? Anyways, his reactions and commentary really enlighten me on how America does their commercials, makes me so thankful for the humor the Norwegian ones have.
"They are on his tongue".. Yes.. and for anyone who didn't got it; They are the taste-buds.. waiting with anticipation, getting more and more excited until the celebratory climax.
I want to point out that the line at 7:16 is actually a joke. In Norwegian "a chair you can trust" is "en STOL du kan STOLe på". So chair and trust is actually the same word
After re-watching all of these commercials again with you, I realized they kind of remind me of silly RUclips skits lol And growing up with commercials like this, they are just as skippable as any form of commercial after 1-3 watches. But I guess not minding watching a commercial even once is a luxury from how you talk about American commercials 😅
The ad with the dancing baby is a joke based on the dancing baby from Ally Mc Beal that was a popular show in the 90's or early 2000, don't remember exactly dancing baby used to dance to "Hooked on a feeling". I think the reas8n the commercials is good is that every year there is an award competition like the Academy awards but for commercials and the price is a gold fish statue. It's the people that watch the show that can vote for the commercials and the best of 4 in each month will go to a final to win a silver fish and then they compete to win the gold fish. For some strange reason these shows are popular even though most people don't like commercial breaks and used them to grab a snack or go to the toilet or something, but actually these shows have almost as many wiers as if it was any other kind of reward show. It makes no sense, but Norwegians are just a wierd kind of people (I'm Norwegian for 5 generations back) Norwegians complain about everything even though there is nothing to really complain about, and the weather is the most popular subject to complain about. Right now the people in the north-west is having a storm, so they actually have a reason right now, but when It's sunny and beautiful there's just nothing to complain about, but we sure find something. The Finn.no commercials is for a site similar to Craigslist, and the name Finn is funny as Finn is both a mans name and means to find something. It's easy to remember to. My favourite was the one that came right before the pandemic hit with the song jingle Granca Granca Granca refering to Norwegians travel a lot to Grand Canaria and in this particular commercial there was a dugnad and the people said they could not come because they were going to Granca and we se them book the travel after they said they couldn't come. Norwegians hate dugnad, but almost all sports like football and such that kids go to have them, and the schools and kindergarden have them and if you live in a Borettslag there will also be dugnad that there is almost no excuse to skip. The commercial was taken down due to the pandemic as no one could go to Syden in that period.
That last commercial with the dancing baby was actually on Swedish television too 😁 But it wasn't for caviar, I think it was for shrimp cheese in a tube.
We did, but then it was for shrimp cheese instead of sandwich caviar. In Sweden this Norwegian brand, Kavli, just sell cheese in tubes, not sandwich caviar. Video: Kavli Räkost med dansande Bebis!
You should search for "Grandiosa - Lørdagspizza". It's a song over a minute long about this particular kind of pizza, and I still sing the jingle a decade later :-P
REALLY love these reactions! As an Norwegian myself i have to say you are easily on my top list of favorite RUclipsrs! Your reactions are always amusing to watch. If you keep continuing to watch all this you're gonna be more fluent in Norwegian than an Norwegian Haha! Keep going on with these!
No, we usually don't like tubed foods, but there are expeptions, mainly caviar and some types of soft "cheese" with stuff like shrimps or bacon ("smøreost").
No wonder. I remember these old Telenor commercials they had here in Sweden about a family. Sadly one of the actors passed away so they stopped making them and instead started making some kind of acid-induced commercials.
Tyler......Come on! ...think you need to REVISIT the man living w his HUGE hand...... This is your 3rd compilation of Norwegian commercials, and not a single "dirty" one..... that doesn't add up 😂😂
The caviar in a tube is a norwegian and swedish thing. Neither Denmark nor Finland are accustomed to this food. It is very salty and smells fishy, pun intended, but some of us just love it on an open sandwich, preferably with sliced hard boiled eggs.
Kims Chips is a Danish brand. All the people watching is Danes (red and white)🇩🇰...if they were to be Norwegians, I bet you, their clothing would be red, white and blue. 🇸🇯...but hey, we are family anyway 🤗
In 2001 the mobil phone company Sonofon launched a series of commercials. The characters got SO popular, the people behind the commercial made a feature film 🙃 with them in 2002, "Polle fra Snave" was a national antihero. We loved him 😍
I am married to an American! When I spend time in US, I was always so surprised how American ads just gets in your face. They are much shorter and very stiff. Capital One is still stuck in my head ''What's in your wallet?''🤣
You should check out the love it or hate it Marmite comercials here in the UK or the ads for skoda cars both take the mickey out of their own product. Another couple reacted to a compilation of the Marmite ones but i couldnt find a link for it only the individual ads.
You should do a video on about norwegian spread commercials. Would be very interesting to see your reaction on the spreads and ofc the commercials themselves
Finn means find. So of course they took that name, to make a buy and sell page, on the net. And when you add .no then it's perfect. Because no, are similar to "noe" and Noe, means "something", yes the word something. So it become "Find.something" Does this make sense ? Finn.no
Swedish commercials are similarly funny, and features the ICA commercials, that are formatted as a soap/sit-com, with the same cast reappearing each week for a new ad, with a tiny story. For decades.
10:05 That's exactly why I don't watch TV anymore, and just stream or download the episodes of series I follow instead. I am long since sick and tired of the commercials, they come anywhere from once every 5 minutes to once every 10 minutes, and each commercial break lasts anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes (depending on the channel, some channels don't actually have commercials).
That Kim's comersial was the one that got me boycotting them, as they used blind violence to promote chips. Really not necessary to do. They did change it though, after they received complaints about it.
Its a take on a few festivals around the world, like the tomato festival in Spain. Its not a fight. Its a party. I mean, the chip does a stage dive over the spectators. Its fairly obvious.
It's the situation where one knocks down another person by a springskalle (new Norwegian word to learn by the way 😜) grabing him and bash their head into him.
You should try to find some of the older Lottery commercials - Norske millionærer er ikke lik andre millionærer = Norwegian millionaires are not like other millionaires. You would love them.
One of the funniest parts is the subtitle for the baby --> "Danish Speech" 😆😆
That’s too funny, thanks for pointing it out, I didn’t notice😂
That's what Danskene sound all they time
If you are referring to the last commercial...that is Norwegian...but very similar to Danish. 😔👍🏻
@@Methinna if you read the subtitle at 12:07 you will see that it says Danish speech
"I almost thought this ad was gonna be normal" have you learnt nothing?
Yes, the most important part about making commercials is not to sell the product, but to tell a story and sell a feeling!
I wonder if he will ever come across Doffen Har Daua, or has he already? Anyways, his reactions and commentary really enlighten me on how America does their commercials, makes me so thankful for the humor the Norwegian ones have.
No he hasn’t yet:) I hope there will be a part 4.
Or fatter`n er homo :D
They are like 16 years old though :) Not hard to find them, but I'm not sure if they exists with English subtitles.
Doffen har daua is the most epic commercial ever.
Oh come on! He is in relationship with his hand.... He needs some toys... Think dirty.. Haha
IKR 😂😂
I thought he got the joke at the end? No?
Is it about being handy? 🤗
@@indreduobaite13 Oh, OK, I wasn't sure.
He got the joke😂
I'm norwegian, i realy love watching your videoes, looking forward to them every day 🥰

I love how Norwegian commercials feel like a story
It is possibly a factor that rhe amount of ads on Norwegian TV is like 1/5 of in the US, so there is more patience for longer ads.

We actually have a TV show in Norway once every year, which chooses the best commercials. the show is called Gullfisken.

Your commercial reactions are my favorite! Do Bergen out of Norway. It's so stupid and yet funny😂
That last commercial with the dancing baby was actually on Swedish television too 😁 But it wasn't for caviar, I think it was for shrimp cheese in a tube.

When we saw the Finn.no ad in class, we didn't skip it because everyone started singing on it
And if you save a search on finn you get the finn jingle as a sound on your phone whenever theres something new added that match your search😊

Americans don’t usually have the attention span to wait a couple of minutes before you see what the ad is for or the point of the joke.
The little nut factory, in Norway had advertising during the super bowl in the USA a few years ago
"This is a little story" Oh Telenor took that personal
No wonder. I remember these old Telenor commercials they had here in Sweden about a family. Sadly one of the actors passed away so they stopped making them and instead started making some kind of acid-induced commercials.
@@moondaughter1004 Yeah nah Telenor in Norway has run an ad-campaign with the same characters for years
It could be caused by the fact that each year there is an award for the funniest/best commercial; Gullfisken (the goldfish award).
The best norwegian ads are the Rema 1000 ads
Did you know that Norway has it's own award show for commercials?

Hi Tyler, is it anything you don’t like about Norway?
In the finn.no commersial there is an subtile error. What they is Grenland not Greenland (Grønland). Grenland is an aera i east Norway.
Find the Rema1000 comertials, some of the one's from a few years back are realy good!
I hate American adds on youtube, but will often watch Norwegian ones
