Something to note about commercials in Norway, is that we have something called "Gullfisken" (I don't know if it's a thing anymore or whatever, but it used to be at least) which is kind of a Emmy's, but for commercials in Norway. They'd hand out awards for each month, and then the commercial of the year voted by the viewing audience. So commercials have been quite competitive, and wanting to grab your interest and attention.
And having fun commercials instead of the dull American Infomercials, is less bothersome as well, the only decent American commercials are the ones during Superbowl... and they barely qualify.
Its called Gullruten. Gullruten is an annual award for the Norwegian TV industry, founded in 1998 by Norske Film- og TV-produsenters forening. The awarding committee has representatives from the major national TV companies, NRK, TV 2, TV3 and TVNorge. In 1998, the show was hosted by Nadia Hasnaoui, and from 1999 to 2012, by Dorthe Skappel.
Gullfisken is a separate award specifically for commercials. Every year, a jury picks one commercial for each month, called Sølvfisker, then viewers vote for their favourite during a live show. It's usually broadcasted on TV2.

Sadly we got fewer funny commercials now, still some but there was allot more of them in the 90s and earlyer 2k. I think companies etc has gotten a bit to afraid of insulting someone.

Sister: "Wazz up..?"
Boy; "Doffen has kicked the bucket!"
