Nowadays it’s a rare treat to see the track performed at one of our live shows, but it hasn’t lost any of it’s power in the decade that has passed. Performing Nothing Left together with Marco Hietala was one of the highlights of the night in Tivoli, and in fact, the entire show felt like a highlight; it was one of my favourite shows of our career so far. You can relive the night through our new EP/Blu-Ray Hunter’s Moon. As it was the first time we did an entire tour with Marco as a guest, all songs featuring him, including Queen cover ‘Scandal’ are included, and the video for Nothing Left is now available on RUclips. We hope you enjoy it!"
Without a doubt: Delain belong to the golden spear head of Symphonic Metal! After last year's release of their very first live album the Netherlanders present another live masterpiece - including four brand new studio tracks! Hunter's Moon consists of this fresh material, a live album and a live Blue-Ray disc. The catchy title track Hunter’s Moon and the larger than life orchestral Masters of Destiny offer a haunting preview of what Delain is working on for their next studio album, due 2019. The band’s guitarists step to the forefront in composing two tracks exclusive to this release in This Silence Is Mine (Timo Somers) and Art Kills (Merel Bechtold). The live portion of the release will take you on a cinematic journey to the Danse Macabre Tour in Utrecht’s Tivoli Vredenburg. The majority of the live album features the deep tones of Nightwish’s Marco Hietala and includes heart rendering hits like Nothing Left, Your Body Is A Battleground and Control The Storm. Epic is no expression at all!

Dutch metal band....I believe the vocalist is Charlotte Wessels. Those Dutch girls can sing some metal !
The Netherlands has the best female metal singers (Floor, Simone, Charlotte, Sharon...) and Finland has the best male metal singers (Marko, Tony, Timo,etc), and when they join it's just pure magic!

I saw Delain open for Nightwish in 2016. As great as this video is, it doesn't compare to seeing it from 20 feet away.

My favourite song off this album is 'On The Other Side', which I don't believe they have ever done live.
I love the way Charlotte Wessels skips off stage at the end. They're all so happy on stage and obviously all great friends.
Charlotte has an incredible body, so her stage outfits always look amazing. Especially when they were all wearing red.
Saw them live a few time, been a fan since the very first album. Even the first album was great, not a bad song on it. And the first collaboration with Marco: The Gathering. Last year i even ditched Powerwolf to see them live in the tent at Wacken and it was a good choice, they are really that good.

2017 was an interim year for Nightwish. It was preceded by a world tour in 2015-16 and then a world tour in 2018. And no new Nigtwish album was made between them. So Marko had time to take part in Delain’s European tour in 2017.
Has anyone mentioned to you that Marko was asked to work on Project 'Delain' before the band was formed? (with very different line up)

Marko is just perfect for every kind of Duet, no matter if it's with a female singer (what I like even better) or a male singer (you already did Ayreon - Age of Shadows. I recommend to also check out "River of Time". Another Ayreon song with Marko and Hansi Kürsch from Blind Guardian). And it also doesn't matter which genre it is 'cause he can do whatever he wants with his voice (there's a video of him doing All I Ask of You from the Phantom of the Opera - so beautiful).

So I guess Martijn started it Marco was the original bassist on the first album so it was a collaboration

Seems to me that the USA went more metal and Europe went symphonic
You would be wrong in that assessment. We still have all those awesome death and black metal bands, we have our own thrash metal bands, we have it all. I guess the only reason that symphonic seems so prevalent on youtube is because it seems to lend so well to reactions (and I guess it's also more listenable to the generic non-metal people).

Sorry but the song is so boring. I never even felt a WOW factor on it. I wish RockerNL send some new nightwish songs requests because those songs are truely masterpieces and vastly different compare to this kind of symphonic metal songs from Delain. Just my opinion.
Well your first mistake is comparing Delain to Nightwish. They aren't going for the same effect at all. Both are excellent at what they do
The Wow factor is there. Just listen to how well they blend.
