One of the things I like about the non-US/UK shows is how willing the judges are to step outside predefined boxes- the Viking song was stunning but would have gone over like a lead balloon - same with the Mongolian Throat singer- it's like the rest of the world realises that talent and music isn't all round peg in round hole...
Yes. Absolutely love the open mindset with different genres and alternative voices. So tired of listening to the same 5 pop songs. Music is so much more

No they were far from horrible. Actually there was a lot of amazing talent who can lend their voices to different genres but a few of them were also trash !
"Mother and Father" is still one of the most beautiful piece's of music that i have ever heard

Metal vocalists are some of the best at controlling their voice. and without destroying their chords. she needed someone to coach her more so she could hold those growls. i heard that skill. she had it!!!
squeals. and they are way harder to pull off and are more likely to damage your vocal cords

@@fenrirmetalback4290 If you do it correctly, you actually don't use your vocal cords. These growls are done using "false cords" or vestibular fold. That's why they don't have pitch.
She was so good!! They had no clue.
Ok. They need to get non pop singers as judges. That screaming on the “Look What You Made Me Do” song was dead on perfect. One of the hardest skills to pull off while singing and she nailed it.
I don’t even like this style of music, and I could appreciate her talent.
Bukhu's performance was absolutely transcending

@@julesbryes they chose a song that favored the other contestant 100% never giving him a chance to shine. Even if you have no one else on your team to put against him you should at least choose a song that challenges both contestants.
His song mesmerizes me every time I hear it. Tears and all. It's like an out-of-body experience.

I've come back again and again to 17:32, Bukhu Ganburged. I don't speak Tibetan, but for some reason, it always tears me up a bit.
There's something so primal and moving about his song, which he later said was about missing his parents.
I think Bukhu is Mongolian. The instrument he’s playing looks like the Mongolian Horse Head fiddle

the 2nd one is amazing... the sister is dressed like she hates the world .... yet burst into tears supporting her sister... then the dad started crying as the 4th chair turned...... thats a great "normal" family......

Bukhu should have picked Boy George. I think he would have been given a better chance. Boy George genuinely seemed moved.

Out of all of them, his song captivated me the most. Such clarity and emotion in his singing voice, such skill and precision in his throat singing
I've heard it lots of times now, and it's just the most beautiful thing. It's beyond music, it's tattered prayer ribbons flying in the wind and wide open plains and an infinite horizon. I don't understand the words, but it makes me long for something out of reach. It's like liquid soul.
Germany has really awesome judges chairs. they have speakers build in around the heads
Going by the 'goosebumps test', my vote is for Marie Flamme. Honorary mention: Claudillea Holloway. Both performers show guts to pick songs that are unusual for this type of contest, but allow them to show off their vocal prowess to the fullest.

How tf Bukhu can do those sounds? That's pure talent and actually unique, I wish these incredible voices were given more recognition. Okali can make you feel shivers down your spine. Artistry is what we're lacking nowadays on mainstream and the ones who really care for music are left behind.
