I enjoyed the review but something bothered me, in his initial statement he said he did not like the sound of the speakers but after several weeks of listening his opinion changed, which is fine but home many people are making this same mistake and not giving a speaker they are reviewing or another piece of equipment ample time to really see how they feel about it. If he didnt give the speakers the extra 2 weeks he would have left and impression of them maybe not being good. I am not criticizing just making a point.
It’s always a good idea to audition a new piece of a equipment/speakers for a while before rushing to a conclusion. It hasn’t been the norm for me as most equipment I’ve come across has not changed during the first 30-60 days I’ve had them. Usually, how it sounds out of the box is how it’s going to sound down the road. The Borea BR03 are an exception to that.
This video came right on the spot because I'm in a big dilemma. I have two great deals on two different kinds of speakers - both at the same price, around 330 euros. Unfortunately, I can't have a sound demo with my gear on both speakers. Thanks for your help! Maybe we can exchange some emails on this subject. :)
Hello Horea, I think that the Borea BR03 pairs well with the NAD C 316BEE. I prefer the sound from the CXA60 with the BR03 but the NAD is not bad by any means. I have not heard the MA bronze but what I have heard of MA leads me to believe that you need to be higher up the series (Silver or Gold) to be happy - but, I haven't heard any MA speakers to date so I can not objectively say which I prefer between those 2 choices. However, the Borea BR03 did beat out the KEF Q150, the ELAC Debut Reference DBR62, and the Polk Audio LSiM703 for what I wanted from a speaker in my listening room with my gear. My room's acoustics will undoubtedly be different than yours as will your preferences. Good luck with the new speaker search!

Looking to buy this pair for stereo listening. Any opinion on placement - I do not like keeping speakers like 2 feet away from wall since decor/size does not allow it - can I keep this fairly close to wall? Awesome review. You got new subscriber!!
Yes, these can be placed fairly close to a wall but I encountered increased bass response the closer I got to the front wall. If you have tone controls, you may be able to adjust for this but it may sound great as is. Give them a try and see. I felt the ELAC DBR62 had a balanced sound with a little less bass response in my room (that might not be the case in your room). However, I don't think the highs are as detailed and spacious on the DBR62 as they are on the Borea BR03.
How are these with overall placement? I want to try them out in my room but I can't put them more than 20cm away from the back wall... Which makes me lean more towards the BR02 as they should be better being placed closer to the back wall as they don't have the bass reflex port.
That’s not a lot of free space behind the speakers for you to work with. The Borea BR02 is a rear ported speaker design so it’s even less ideal for your application. The Borea BR03 will have enhanced bass output that close to the wall. Have you considered a sealed cabinet speaker design or a rear ported deign that includes port plugs? KEF Q150? KLH Ames or Albany?
@@theeverydayaudiophile4147 My current speakers Q-Acoustics 3020i are also rear ported and I've never noticed any bass booming, I don't even use the port plugs. I think I can maybe squeeze up to 30cm away from the back walls but any more wouldn't really be possible with the way the room is setup currently. The cabinets of the BR02 are 4cm shallower so that will help a bit I guess. The problem is there's not many retailers for Triangle speakers in the UK anyway and with Covid pandemic it will be many months before I would be able to find a retailer that will let me do a home demo. In any case some people say that front bass reflex ports are actually more sensitives to back wall proximity than back firing bass port design is. As usual hard to know what is the case and best thing is to test yourself in your own room ;D. I think I will only consider the Borea's if the seller I get them from has easy return scheme. I do like bass but I don’t want them to be too boomy in my small room. Would they still sound ok in this application?
@@squeegebergren3501 Probably. I don't know the other dimensions of your room (the larger the room, the more the sound can disperse) and I don't know what materials are in your room (hardwood floors or carpet? A lot of furniture or just a chair?).
It could be due to the pairing of his chosen amplifier(s). I find that not all amplifiers / integrated amps sound the same. Could be his room (the largest factor of what influences sound quality).

Thanks a lot for your input, looking forward to more content from your channel!
The Borea BR03 produce a lot of bass. I’ve heard the opposite in that front ported are easier to place closer to a wall without encountering boomy bass. Overall, the BR03 is an amazing sounding loudspeaker and I highly recommend them. Good luck!
The Everyday Audiophile I kind of was thinking the same thing with placement. I can get them about 12 inches off the back wall. Possibly a couple more inches but still close to the wall.
Funny, Zeos thought these were too bright, to the point where he couldn't listen to them. Not sure whats up with that.
It could be due to the pairing of his chosen amplifier(s). I find that not all amplifiers / integrated amps sound the same. Could be his room (the largest factor of what influences sound quality).
I have a question whats the dimensions of these speakers?? thank you
Dimensions: 8.11” x 12.36” x 12.12" (206 x 314 x 380mm)
Thanks again :)
how would these compare with dali oberon 3
I have not heard the Dali Oberon 3 speakers yet but I have heard good things about them. Is there any way you can audition both in your home to see which you prefer?
@@theeverydayaudiophile4147 there is no way I can audition, plus for me I can't decide on the basis of just one listening nor I have experience with speakers so I am a newbie
RDX I understand. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Borea BR03 to you as I enjoy them quite a bit. Good luck!
@@theeverydayaudiophile4147 actually the oberon 3 is very aggressively prized here,it's very closely prized with elac debu reference (not available yet),klipsh rp600m,and maybe similar to triangle which is don't know the prize of,also how are the warfedale evo 4.1
@@RudraxT I had the ELAC Debut Reference DBR62 here and it is a very good speaker. Between the 2, I preferred the Borea BR03.
Any chance you'll be reviewing the Triangle EZ line?
I probably will not be reviewing the EZ Esprit line unless Triangle reaches out to me. I purchased the speakers that I reviewed with my own funds in an effort to decide which set would stay with me long term. A friend and fellow reviewer reviewed the Comète EZ here: theaudiobeatnik.com/review-triangle-comete-ez-speakers/
In small-medium room they don't need sub...be careful ,This speakers has a beautiful deep Bass . I have It for 10 days now . And every Day sounds better and better .. paired with Nait5i , fantastic speaker for the money !!!!
