Love how you show what equipment you're using to audition speaker sets. Not too many others do that but I really appreciate it so I have background knowledge on how these are powered and/or how that compares to other equipment.
    Great work as always!

BR03s are currently on back order and I was just about the pull the plug on q150s cause I was getting impatient. You swung me back to borea. I already have the BR08s and love them. What’s that saying… all good things to those in a hurry? On no, it’s “those who wait”.

My opinion of most modern KEFs is that they sound great under ideal listening situations, but fall apart as all-rounders. I'm not sure why, but I agree the Triangles are very versatile and exhibit very little compression at high volumes. However, the light paper cones that add so much to the midrange tone do cause them to roll off faster in the bass. It's the biggest design challenge in a 2-way, bass vs. midrange clarity.

I have been listening to the Little Village CD you recommended and I am really into John Hiatt and the super groups he was able to build like here and on his own album Bring the Family, However Slow Tuning is probably my favourite. Don't know how he never really broke through on this side of the Pond! Like you I was a fan of bookshelf speakers, but since I picked up a pair of Mordant Short 3 way floor mounted speakers I have not looked back - these are slim and fit my 17ft by 12ft lounge inconspicuously - Its just a shame my wife insists they are tucked away at the end of the sofa and behind the TV! However they come out when she's out - just ask the neighbours!!!! Nice review keep up the modesty!

If they aren't doped or infused with some material the woofers may break down faster in higher humidity environments. Something to consider.

I have a pair of these speakers and love them. I have them paired up with a Hegel H95 amp and 7m long Canare 4S11 home made speaker cables. They play wonderfully in my attic listening pad w/ roughly 50m2. Great channel.

You should really get that NAD amp off the carpet , even if you just slide a small cutting board under it . By the way I'm happy your blown speaker is fixed , having two different models just wasn't cool . Love your videos ! Thank you .

Why didn't you get the BR02 especially for use as PC Speakers?
I was initially thinking of the BR02 since they are smaller, but the price difference between the BR03 and BR02 is only $100. Seems like Triangle is pricing the BR02 so that customers would rather opt to go for the BR03. I'm just not sure if the BR03 will be able to perform adequately if I seat closer to it (like a normal PC setup).
I'll be getting a PB 1000 PRO to match either one of these Triangles. So I'm also thinking that the BR03 having just "extra" low frequency compared to the BR02, might end up not sounding different when paired with a subwoofer.

Currently, these two speakers can be found for around $300 a pair. Both would work very well from my experience. In the used world, check out Paradigm Mini Monitors, Dynaco A25, Celestion SL6S. Linn Katans are my current favorites.

Nevertheless I still like your videos keep up the good work and yes kudos that you don’t need a subwoofer for either one of the speakersl

You wish they "had more punch," because 6" woofer is at the very bottom of that range with regard to scale displacement. Whole room of any size, minimal driver size would really be 8" minimum, even for stand mounts, with 10" and 12" being much more believable. The new trend is, to supposedly be surprised that small speakers sound bigger than they actually are, which they really don't. I have been disappointed by every speaker that has worn that claim. My absolute minimum, without subs, for near field listening is, 6.5", that can play down into the mid/upper 30s. Any speaker that plays mid, or even low 40s, better have at least an 8" woofer, and perhaps even gravitating more towards a 3-way design.
As soon as I see a 2 way bookshelf speaker with middle 40hz range, I know I am going to need a well matched subwoofer, about as soon as that novelty of that "big" sound getting shot to pieces with user break-in, or, in about two days. I got over it. My near field speakers now have 12" woofers, and measure pretty darn flat. My smaller BS speakers have been sent to desk/tabletop duty or in my bedroom.
