    Curious what subwoofer your using and where you set the crossover?

    • @theeverydayaudiophile4147
      @theeverydayaudiophile4147 Год назад

      Hey there, It’s a custom made subwoofer using an old 12” SVS driver from a cylinder sub and a BASH plate amp from parts express. I had the crossover set at 60 Hz. However, this will be dependent on your room’s acoustics and how low the speakers are going on their own then adjust the subs x-over accordingly. I didn’t want the sun doing too much work, let the speakers produce what they can and let the sun fill in what they can’t or don’t.

      Hard to say what you’re going to notice between the two on “budget” gear. I’m not knocking it; we all start somewhere. In gradual upgrades is where we learn and appreciate subtle differences. If possible, try upgrading your amplifier as that can be a piece you build around knowing it’s a solid design.

    Excellent review! Your experience with the BRO3s truly solidifies and reaffirms my experience with them as well! It recently became the speaker that ended my journey after auditioning SO many well regarded stand mount speakers from the JBL 530s to the Wharfedale 4.2, KefQ350, AA Grand Versus III, RSL CG 25 and even most recently the Kef LS50 Metas! While all are certainly excellent in their own right, NONE checked off as many boxes as the BRO3. Part of me didn't want to except that they were more enjoyable and engaging then speakers at least twice their price but the more time I spent with them, the more I could no longer deny what my ears where experiencing. :) Can't recommend the Triangle BRO3S enough!...

      @@freakin13guy Yes, I have moved on from the Triangle Borea BR03 in my main listening room. I still have them but they are currently not in use. I decided to use the Wharfedale EVO 4.2 in my main setup. Much warmer than the Borea BR03 but also much more bass response in my room with outstanding instrument separation. I can clearly place where the musicians are on the stage and the dome midrange is really spectacular for vocals. The Air Motion Transformer on the EVO 4.2 is effortless and non-fatiguing while still presenting beautiful details. The EVO is a larger stand-mount speaker and almost 2x the $ of the Borea and I am quite happy with my decision. Happy listening!

      @@theeverydayaudiophile4147 Superb choice on the Evo 4.2.! Enjoy! Almost kept them for many of the reasons you mentioned but the Triangle were a bit better for HT use and my application called for a speaker that could pull off double duty... If I ever set up a strictly 2 channel set up, the Evo 4.2, for the price, are my first choice! All that said I’m VERY tempted to try out the Triangle Comète EZ as I hear they are a step up from the BRO3.. :)

      Hi Justin, Since this is an integrated amplifier, the preamp and the amp are combined into one package. I don’t believe you can use the integrated as a stand alone amplifier for use with a separate pre amp. You would be spending more money and may be better off with a different integrated altogether. Hi Sir, great work in this review. Could you maybe talk us briefly like in a comment about in what ways you liked the m2si better than the cxa60 for the Bro3s ? I am interested because currently where i am from i can find the cxa 61 ( which from what i read is similar sounding to the cxa 60 but just a bit better and pricier ) for like 700 euro and the m2si for like 750 euro though the m2si doesn't have a dac or bluetooth etc. The cxa 61 is recommended as a great pair to the bro3s in a review i read but you say that the m2si is an even better pair for you so i am really curious now.... :P Also i like how the m2si is a pure performance piece like not having a dac or phono or bluetooth or other stuff, meaning that all the money went into pure performance of the amp i guess. Thanks !

    • @theeverydayaudiophile4147
      @theeverydayaudiophile4147 3 года назад

      You basically answered the question yourself. The M2si is a streamlined, direct amplifier with very little in the signal path while the CXA60/CXA61 has the built in DAC, bass and treble and balance on the CXA60, phono stage in the CXA61 which all rob power and introduce noise (at some level). The M2si is far better built compared to the CXA60/61 and will last far longer.

    • @bloodbathory5624
      @bloodbathory5624 3 года назад

      Thanks for the quick answer!! But truth be told i was more interested in the sound synergy, like was the m2si a more balanced match? Like maybe the cxa exaggerated the treble or bass a bit etc. Also which pair would you consider the most fun? Like critical listening completely aside but having casual listening and enjoyment in mind ( its the main reason i am leaning towards the bro3s ) because i read that the cxa is very fun sounding and am afraid that maybe the m2si is a bit more serious/critical. Thanks and sorry if i am becoming a bother !!
