Try the Rotel with Kef q950. I have heard the 1592 with the Kef q950 and thought it was definitely the best pairing. The s14 may be a lot different though as I have not heard it yet.
Right now if you live in Europe they cost 1450€ ! Roughly 1334 us dollars. As for the r700 they cost around 2350€ . If you take that into consideration the br09 are a better value, at least for those living in Europe.
Exactly why I'm wondering about Triangle and Monitor Audio vs Polk and other US or Canada made products. The EU price is absurd even though it's somewhat logical due to the physical distance and import taxes, etc.
So an audiophile friend of mine recently bought some Bro3’s and I gotta say, I really liked em! They have a very natural tonality to em that I really dig, and he was powering them with an AVR while looking around for an audiophile “approved” 2 channel. I’m the type of listener that cannot stand a bright sound. The Bro’s were pointed directly at my ears, and I did need to use tone controls in order to be completely comfortable. I told him he’s got a good pair of speakers, something I could happily live with
Hi Andrew and Kristi, I wanted to leave a comment and say that I appreciate your work very much, your reviews are probably the best I've seen when it comes to audio equipment. I just started my adventure with speakers (I was more into headphones before) and I didn't want to spend a lot of money right away. But I managed to buy Monitor Audio Bronze 100, Cambridge Audio AXR100, some stand and cables for just under £600, I think this is good place to start and I'm excited to discover new things in the hifi world. Thanks again for your work and I look forward to your next videos.
Great review. I always enjoy your reviews. I’ve owned both the BR08 and BR09. The 8s are much better than the 9s in my opinion. More neutral (doesn’t have as large of treble lift) and bass is actually much tighter. I think the bass is due to too many drivers in too small of an enclosure. The 9s boost the bass too much between 70-120hz and it falls off really quick at 70Hz. The 8s don’t fall off quickly until 40Hz. Again, the boost is due to too small of enclosure that it covers up extension below the boosted area. I actually replaced Lumina Vs with the BR08s, and bought another pair of the BR08s. They’re that good. Lumina V are quite good, but bass is a little slower and not as quick. Also, a bit of thickness in mids. They have really good extension- sub is optional. I believe the BR08 the best speaker south of $5K, and I’ve tried over a dozen of them. I so thrilled you are reviewing the Triangles now. Try the 8s and be amazed. Yes, the 8s need the help of a sub and an amp that’s good with 2.9Ohms. Happy listening.
Kristi is completely right to hammer all these audio companies for their boring/stale designs. My wife is not in the hi-fi/audiophile sphere and design is super important for that discussion and compromise. She likes the experience of my system but would never buy something like that and the archetypal hifi look has a lot to do with it. Those oak Triangles look great and will sell based on that. Thank you Kristi for being hard on design, don't ever let up!
This video and its incredible cinematography was SO insightful, and convinced me to pick up a pair of Triangle BR08s. Do you think the new Sony ES Receiver line would pair well with these, and if so, what's the lowest model I should consider? Thanks, Andrew!
The Sony ES line would pair well with your speakers. As far as which model to buy - if you have no interest in needing to expand your home theater to either have more channels or more power, then I believe you would be fine either of these models bit.ly/3Y5hhK3 or bit.ly/3SQS0l4. If you want the ability to grow your system and want preamp outputs, you need to start here bit.ly/3HpEcIP. Also, thank you so much for the kinds words and support. Mike! We hope to see you on the next video!
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Thank you! As I am building out a new 5.1 setup, I had been targeting the 5000ES. I really appreciate your time and insights. Thanks again!
I appreciate and agree with the thoughts on the R700 finishes and Polk really needs to offer a lightwood and white at least and also to Focal simply eliminating the glossy finish and replacing with matte and add a white option and you're golden! I fully anticipate these changes with 14 months since I purchased the Chora 826 lightwood last week!! As always, thanks for sharing Andrew & Kristi.
I have the BR03’s. I love them. They have excellent midrange, good bass presence, and airy highs. I tried to pair them with the center channel, but I found the center to be to resonant for me.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews I did set my crossover to 80hz. I believe a contributing factor is that my center channels are situated within the middle section of my television stand. The Borea center was a close to the full width of my shelf. It is a bummer because I felt dialog clarity was good. I ended up keeping the BR03’s for my office setup, and cobbled together a nice pairing of KEF’s for my 3.1.2 living room. Apologies for the autobiography. Thanks for all the content you both provide.
I seriously looked at the Bro9s when buying the r700s, but most reviews mentioned the same treble tendencies, and the r700s suited my tastes more. I honestly love the look of the r700s, even just when shopping them. I had a pair of white KEF Q950s, and actually didn’t like the white, I found I focussed on their presence more, when I prefer my speakers to be innocuous, not standing out. As long as they’re built well that what I care about the most. But like they say ‘horses for courses’, and all that. 😀
These are lovely speakers and sound way above their budget! Would definitely recommend for people on a tighter budget. The sound was very alike to the focal aria's I was aiming at.
@@waldemarkaszuba5157 I tried out the Aria 928, these Triangle's, Wharfedale evo 4.4, Dali Oberons and 2 others I don't recall. I ended up with the focals because I could get them 2nd hand for a great price with the same center speaker included. But otherwise these would've been the runner up.
Good review Team A&K! Can't get in on many lives as I'm busy a bit but I still come back to check it out. Your truthfulness is refreshing on all levels!
Having owned a pair of Triangle BR03s for more than a year in my home office, I was really hoping you would review Triangles sometime. The BR03s are absolutely gorgeous speakers too, and I am very happy with the sound. Recently added a Klipsch sub to the mix, now my home office is my favorite spot in my home :)
I have the Triangle BR08 and I love them. I’ve been thinking about adding a subwoofer to improve the sound, may I ask which Klipsch sub did you with? Thx.
When you know the local market, the French make absolutely exceptional products There are even smaller and local brands that are even better than triangle It's good to have these kind of videos because usually we always see the same products on RUclips
I absolutely love that the center channel has the ports coming out the front. Space is a concern for my house, so it needs to be pretty close to the wall. The style of these speakers looks like they would match my 1970's "sorta mid-mod without spending good money on mid-mod" aesthetic.
Hi Kristi and Andrew, 🙂 I bought the Triangle Comète 40th anniversary speakers from the Esprit EZ line 40th anniversary. It's not the same price of course ! But Triangle has a magical sound. It's lively, with nice emphasis, really good midranges. But please Kristi Andrew, don't married them to Rotel and Yamaha; WORST ever association possible ! With Rotel particularly ( muffled, too dry, too many hardness, TOO much dynamic). Triangle like juice, give them current ! And a soft signature amplifier and they will give you the best ever ! Very lovely and lively sound, fast speakers, good energy. I don't regret my choice at all, those speakers are awesome! 🙂👍 Thanks for your review and see ya !
Same Price, Triangle Borea BR03 vs Ascend Acoustics CBM-170SE which do you start with? If Triangle I would eventually get BR08s & Center & move the BR03 to the rear. If Ascend Ill eventually get another pair and their Center.
Great review of these speakers! I bought the Br08s a little over a year ago, and my experience has been pretty much spot on with your analysis. Looks, placement flexibility and price were all important factors driving the choice for me. For the QOTD, I went with the 8s due to use in a large room with high ceilings, but I auditioned the 3s and would have gone with those for a smaller room, the 3s had more je ne sais quoi. Thumbs up to Kristi for suggesting a phantom center, with some toe-in, I find the center imaging of the Br08s to be excellent for their price, better than some dedicated centers I have used. I also agree instrument separation is not top not notch, but not terrible. I auditioned the Klipsch 8000F MKI in home against the Triangles and sent the 8000fs back in favor of the Br08s, in the end. I would have gone with Klipsch if I did not have a sub, but preferred the Bro08s, with the help of a sub. I currently run the 8s with a Marantz 40n and an SVS 3000 sub. I like the pairing, but I do have to be generous with the volume to get to the sweet spot with the speakers overall, in my set-up they seem hungrier than the rated sensitivity suggests. Looking forward to hearing about the 8000F MKIIs in your upcoming review.
I'm considering the Br08s as an alternative to Polk R600s that I've been waiting for on back order since Dec5/2022. Did you happen to compare those to the Br08s and any thoughts?
@@robertjurcina7055 I did not compare R600s, but only because they were not on my radar at the time. They seem like a really great option for the right set-up, but I have not heard them. I seems like the R series is a good bit more power hungry than the Boreas. I am not sure my Marantz 40N would have the ideal power for the Polks, in my setting I would not want to get a speaker any less efficient than the Boreas (when using the 40N). If you really like the R600s, I would wait for them, if it were me. I usually regret if I deviate from an original planned purchase in favor of immediacy. Good luck!
@@georgeshepard7535 Thanks for the insight George. I went for the Bro 08s as they are a bit smaller, a 3 way design and front ported to give some flexibility with placement. The fact that they were available and Polk didn’t give any definitive timeline when they would be shipping them helped convince me as well. I was a bit concerned with pairing the Polks with my Audiolab 6000A although reviewers have used it with out concern. Just received the Bro 08s today and first impression is inline with reviews. I’m fairly new to the hifi world. They do seem to present good highs and mids. Bass is strong and tight so looking good. I’ve heard a period of breaking is required for new speakers. They certainly fill the room more than the Paradigm Atom SE bookshelves I’ve moved up from. The Paradigms with a sub actually pretty good especially their $300.00 Canadian pricing. My source includes a Rotel CD11 Tribute that is well built and seems to give a very clean presentation of the source material.
Scrolling down from the Amazon link the Triangle BR08’s are half off but in walnut. This might be the better deal for many if you’re good with that finish.
I own a pair of Triangle Antal Esprit EZ combined with a center from the same line. All driven by a Marantz SR7010 and supported by two Rel TX9's subs and Focal Dome Flax for surround and height channels. Coming from Teufel Ultimate 40 (for the price a perfect deal) I'm very happy with the setup. Next step will be adding poweramps for L, R and center to relieve the Marantz or update the Marantz itself.
I just picked up my own 9's. They were the Mirage OM9's that i got used and near mint for a song. Got them 2 weeks ago and they sound fantastic! It seems like Bipole or Omnidirectional speakers are nearly nonexistent anymore. Think the speakers I have would sound incredible in your room. I am older and developed tinnitus so the non directivity of sound also helps immensely with that. That being said i am not missing anything and the soundstage is immense. But i digress.....just wanted to share my recent 9 acquisition and question about omnidirectional speakers or lack there of.
Speaker babies!!! Now that would be a great QOTD! BR09 is a very beautiful speaker, doesn't seem to best the others in a lot, but overall a great purchase option for some people still, cool. As for the actual QOTD, I'd probably choose the BR03 with a sub for half the price and then go up the chain a little in electronics.
Your comment about the Bro 3 Base is a good one. The base on the Bro 3 is good but becomes noticeable in larger rooms. This is where the floors can help because they do have more base. It’s an excellent line for the money. I’ve heard the Bro 7 and they were very nice as well.
At first I bought Triangle bro2 for rear channel, I was so impressed with them, Later I saw on Craigslist Bro9 for sale for $800 a pair, I couldn’t refuse. And mine Bro9 is all white looks really nice in a living room
I bought the Triangle Color special edition. They are not well known, but they blow out all double priced speakers out of the water. They are that good and not that expensive.
1 week with mines and I highly recommended!!! Amazing sound!!! I was wondering if my Rega Brio was able to make them work and the match is just great!!! I use to have the Focal Aria and almost convince myself to change my Brio and go for another amp but was not necessary! Brio rocks too!
I know this is an older review, but I purchased a pair of Jamo c97ii based off another of your reviews + other research. I've been pleased with them, but saw I can get a set of these Triangles for about $1200 a pair currently. I'm running a Pioneer VSX-LX305 (again purchased based on your and other reviews). Could you give me your thoughts on benefits of upgrading from the Jamo to the BR09? Thanks!
I took a leap of faith a couple of years ago, before the Triangle frenzy, by ordering their Esprit Comete Ez from Canada for $700 (demo unit). Let's just say I was over the moon with their Comet(e)! Very dynamic, natural, and detailed sound!
🙋♂️ comment of the day…IMHHO I think 🤔 your and KRISTI’s descriptions of the qualities and features helps people in the market for speakers make an informed decision 🤗💚💚💚
I'm always very impressed and appreciative of you excellent high quality reviews. Your video, audio, lighting, presentation, content are all wonderful. Thank you!
No Andrew, it's not your in-room bass response that is lacking. This time it really is the speakers! I bought an identical pair to the ones you have for review last year. Ran them in over 300 hours before any critical listening to give them a chance, and I was disappointed to say the least. Especially in their lower bass response. I've had numerous tower and stand mount speakers in my listening room, so I have a good understanding of my room's tonal and sound characteristics. Triangle's lower bass frequency response numbers are fudged. Pound for pound, my BR03s have way better bass response! I really took a deep dive into some research to try to figure out what the deal was with their bass, or I should say, their lack of lower bass, and stumbled onto a review from an audio magazine out of Poland that had very interesting findings in their lab. They found the physical size difference between the BR08 and BR09 speakers was almost identical, cubic foot wise, but the 9s have an extra woofer. This extra woofer is what is destroying the lower bass response. The 09 speakers would have to be quite a bit larger to accommodate this extra bass driver. At 35Hz, these BR09s are measuring -10db!!, not -3db as specified. That's why I said triangle's numbers are incorrect. The realistic lower bass response is right at around 50Hz for these BR09s. Therefore the BR08 speakers have a much improved even bass and overall response over the BR09s. In other words, if you are looking to buy these 09s, you will have better sound out of a pair of BR08s in a much cheaper package. Sometimes less really is more! I sold them to say the least. Thanks for the review you guys. God bless.
@@katie_0258 Well I really wanted to know why the bass response wasn't matching the specs at all. I'll say it again, specs really don't say much about a system's sound.
Damn Andrew, was waiting for these babies to get reviewed on your channel. Good thing you're still reading comments and considering requests. I believe these came out already in 2020, but I'am thinking these may very well STILL be the best "(slightly above) Budget" speakers for the Hifi Intermediate. Seriously haven't heard anything more amazing under 1500 $. It's mostly the extreme Clarity and Transparency of these speakers making them fascinating in their own way. Bass is also hella potent on these, plus the entire 5.0 Set can be aquired for I believe around 1600-1700 bucks as they offer amazing Deals on their Sets. These are for the Value seekers and Budget conscious Audiophiles. Hence out of the two big french players Focal and Triangle I actually lean more towards this Triangle brand. Hope to see you also getting your hands on their higher level speakers, like the 50th Anniversary Antal and 50th Anniversary Comete Bookshelf speakers which look seriously jaw droppingly beautiful.
Great review. I bought the 3's on a whim and loved them. So then came the 09's and center joining my existing 2 svs pb3000 subs. I like these a lot even though they are much cheaper than many other speakers that I owned recently.
Awesome review!! I wrote a separate comment, however I copied them here. "Thanks for this review! Although I'd seen other reviews of the Triangle line, I was very interested to hear what you two had to say. I also appreciate your comparisons Andrew. By the way, I love Kristi's Speaker Baby comment 😆. I agree. I'm still looking to purchase the R700 for my primary system. To note, I did hear the BR03. I like their sound. They are lively. That said, I listened on a Cambridge Audio AXR series amp, which I believe made the speaker sound very warm with a lack of clear separation. I cannot be certain so I would like to hear them on a different amp."
Good morning! I’ve got the Bro 8s and I’m in a much smaller room and wow!! Do 💯 agree with the Yamaha sound. My rxv667 gives them a slightly smeared over sound. If I run preouts to the Crown amp and push em they get a lot more life. I do have to say thanks to you both. Having Kristi there helped get my wifey into yer reviews and more into home theater and music listening. Take care be safe and if we end up on tour in yer area I’ll get you some tickets!!
I haven't heard the 9s but I've heard the Bro3s. My impression is that these speakers sound nice and mainly fun immediately and if that's what you're looking for, you got it. I wanted more detail, separation etc and I knew that I would ultimately be unsatisfied with this line. However, the price makes it a good first or second step in anyone's journey.

I'm guessing the Cambridge may not be the best pairing. We never tried our AXR100 so I can say for sure but I'm not surprised by your experience, especially if it was anything less than the axr100.

Thanks for a very helpful review. Your comments about amplifier pairing were really great, and will likely help us viewers to avoid poor partnering decisions. I have both the Borea BR03s and the BR08s. Initially I bought the BR08s simply as a practical decision, because the BR03s were not quite loud enough in the very large classroom that I use to teach and show films in. Over time I have found that the BR08s have more body, more bass, and a wider sound stage, while still keeping the beautiful open midrange and top end that the BR03s have. I now use the BR08s with a REL T7x subwoofer, and the sound is great. I've been using an IOTAVX SA3 integrated amplifier, which I think actually sounds very good with the BR08s, but I may be looking for a slightly more powerful amp in the future. I appreciate your honesty about how you perceive equipment, and the dual perspective you offer through your back-and-forth conversations about your impressions and observations. Thanks again!
@@chinmeysway I haven't heard them myself, and my understanding is that they are meant for even larger rooms, perhaps larger than what I need. For me the BR08s are really fine.
I put svs SoundPath feet on my br09s and the sound improved. I Had the br03 with several different sub combinations but the 09s with the same subs sound better . I just paired them with my new tonewinner ad-7300 amp and they are a great match.
Quiet often you might find these for sale for about $1300 at adoroma which then I believe makes them a wonderful Bargain. The Polk r700 s cost $300 to $500 more than the Bro 9 s. Would a comparison with the Polk R 600 s be a fairer comparison?
Just found your channel and love it! Kristy's takes are on point as well! I'm building a dedicated movie theater style room in my house, I have to stay on budget. If you had "only" $2000 to spend on a receiver what you spend it on. Don't listen to much music in the house, but huge movie buff and my $500 pioneer is very weak. Thanks for everything!
Andrew I loved the pairing of my Klipsch Forte ii’s with my Sansui 9090 I no longer have the Forte’s Which speakers would you recommend to pair with my 9090 for under $2,000? Thank in advance
Great review as always. I had never heard of Triangle until this review. Might have to seek out a dealer to get a listen in. What I'd really really really love to see you review is the Polk L600 and the matching center the L400. The Polk community really wants to see/hear a pro review of them. Cheers to you and Kristi and keep up the splendid work!
It looks awesome!!! And those 6s 😍😘. It's ported so that's all I can say. Still stuck on its beauty, they definitely have the 'buy me' appeal !! Awesome review as always
You guys knocked this review out of the park. Spending time with these and the focal Chora plus hearing the Polk r600 everything you said is correct. I’d like to add if you like a chesty vocal and excellent top end separation the focal Chora does it the best imo
Would you pick these over the R600, if so or if not, why? Room placement is one of my main issues as I would like to have them closer to the wall as Andrew mentioned it wasn't a big issue, not sure of that with the R 600.
@@robertjurcina7055 well r600 is a downward port so it’s alright but sound stage will suffer on all speakers near a wall. Not having space sucks been there so maybe you can pull them out while listening. I’d go r600 if you just want a sound more like a really good recording where as focal sounds more “live” same with br08. Watch a sound demo on both and you’ll get an idea of how they sound use headphones or good speakers. Me I’d go r600 just for that new ring tweeter and you’ll get Deep bass while still keeping midrange that’s why Andrew gave them speaker of the year.
The BR0 line is a value winner for sure! I do want to see some reviews of the Signature or Magellan lines at some point also just for exposure. I feel like with BR0 most people (in the US) are going to lump Triangle as an option in the bin of "their speakers are only good when you factor in their price" without considering that the brand competes above that tier as well.
I was waiting a while for this review, thank you. I bought the Br09 last year and compared them in A/B tests with my older Paradigm Reference Studio 80V2 and ultimately sold the Paradigms. I paired my Triangle with an Emotiva BasX A300 amplifier. I had wondered if adding a beefier amplifier would give me what I want from the Br09 and after hearing you mention dipping to 4 ohms, I think I might just go that route before replacing the speakers themselves.
Adding integrated amplifier using HT bypass from receiver. Can you use an external him to power being speakers from the integrated amp? If so, what integrated amp can do this?
Hi Andrew, Kristi, and fans! A buying point that is important to me is made in America. I know Klipsch is MIA. And I know there are some suuupid expensive MIA like Legacy. Are there other MIA comparable to Klipsch price and quality? Maybe even do a MIA segment if it is something enough fans (or if you and Kristi) would like to hear (do)??? Thank you for your channel!!
The BR09 was on my list when shopping for a new speaker. Heard it and I walked away with Chora 826. It was an easy decision. The Choras had way more sparkle and air, detail retrieval was in a different league and soundstage was way wider. The only thing I thought the BR09 had over the Chora 826 was punchier and lower bass.
May I ask where you heard it (at home or at a dealer/retail space) and what amp/receiver was being used to power them? The Choras are great speakers for sure so I'm not surprised that you liked them. With respect to the sound of the Triangles, as stated in the review, the amp pairing with the Triangles I believe makes a big difference.
@@KristiWright at the dealers, same room and front end equipments. Room is around 9 meters x 7 meters x 5 meters. Powering both the speakers were the Mark Levinson monoblocks (forgot which model) and the other amp was the Rotel RB1552 MKII power amp and RC1572 MKII pre amp. Wasnt even close when it came to detail retrieval, the most evident was the lack of air and sparkle on the BR09 and BR03 (they have it there too), the Choras have it in spades.
@@Crandish99 when words like tiring and fatigue are brought into a conversation, there will no longer be a discussion because fatigue happens at different frequencies for everyone. I have some people telling me they get fatigue listening to wharfedales, thats how diverse fatigue can get.
Yet another great review. You deeply reviewed Focal Chora 826, how do you compare these two? Which one has better soundstage? Airier sound? Lively mids? Thanks for your reply.
Great review as always. Bought the BR03 for my small student room and loving it so far. Any chance a review of it might be coming in the future? Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
Great review. I recently came across a pair of (new old stock) klipsch rp450c centers for a price i just couldnt refuse. My HT has a good center, so i tried these in a 2 channel home theater w a sub. Really cool. Smallish room and it sounds great. Would be zero dialogue issues for Kristi!!!
Hegel has been contacted several times and is aware that we and our viewers would welcome a review. The ball is in their court but truthfully, I wouldn't hold my breath. I know I'm not.
Do you think Sonetto V are good speakers ? For instance would you choose similar speaker aha klipsch 8000F2 or R700 Polk or AE509 if they were same price ?
If you take the caps off the binding posts you can easily drill out the hole to ease banana plug fitment. I had to do this on both my Bro 2 and 3 speakers. Must be a French thing. Once opened up, all goes well and you won't damage your bananas by squeezing them too much.
Love your work Andrew and Christy!!! I have just recently purchased a set of Heco R1000 in black, I am in process of break in and so far quite pleased with them. I was hoping you may be able to work with Audio Advice and get a set for review. I had been around and around trying to decide what to get. The usual candidates were on my list….ie. Polk r-700s, Klipsch, Emotiva T2+. But I decided to give the Heco’s a try. I am running an older Emotiva UPA-200 amp driven by a Schiit Saga preamp and modi multi-bit DAC, Mani phono pre and Rega RP3 turntable with Ortofon 2m blue cart. I was quite young just out of high school when I was able to get my dream job selling high end audio. Mind you I was the nerd kid in middle school who would read Audio magazine’s. The store I worked for was a dealer for Linn, Polk,Klipsch, B&O…. I was even privileged to meet and have dinner with Matthew Polk and Sandy Gross at CES in Chicago at Biggs restaurant. This was back in 1985 mind you, so I have been into everything music and audio and tech.
You guys probably get this question a lot, and I know sometimes you guys are last to get product from certain manufactures (if at all), but any plans to get any Buchardt products in? Such as the passive or Active speakers or even their new Integrated Amp? Thanks for the awesome work guys!
5:40 Oops ok, seems they are 1800 $ outside Europe, then.. definetly there are better options out there. I was thinking you guys pay what we pay in Europe, at 1000 $ the competing models would be much different and the Br09 would have certainly way easier competition. 😅Obviously they are not as "perfect" and don't have the same depth in texture as the Polk R700 or Monitor Audio Silver. They sound a bit "thin" compared to those, their strong suit is mostly that ridicolous clarity and transparency (like I mentioned) Looking forward to your Review on the Klipsch 8000 Mark II !
That's a great looking speaker! I too wish that my R700s weren't so ..... meh in the looks department, I LOVE them, but think they could have maybe made them look better - maybe taking queues from the 9 here in the looks department. I noticed that the White 9s are on sale right now for almost half of what the other colros are.... Thanks again for all you both do, LOVE the channel and appreciate your knowledge and thoughts on all these products.
As we say in the post review discussion, if the R700 and the Br09 could have a baby --oh man, perfect! But I hear ya. I LOVE the R700 but wish our matte black pair could look a bit nicer.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews When it comes to "The only person who has to like the sound of your system is you", I'm there... I'm actually perfectly happy but wish my R700s were a bit more of a 'looker' as well. Thanks again. Love everything you guys put out there.

This is their bottom tier. I'm much more curious about their mid-tier or higher. Please review the Comete's.
Can you do a video on the martin logan 35xti or the tower variant
Can you please do a video on the BP9080x. Thank you.
Maybe Triangle should rename them to “Bruh9s”.
😊
Try the Rotel with Kef q950. I have heard the 1592 with the Kef q950 and thought it was definitely the best pairing. The s14 may be a lot different though as I have not heard it yet.
Right now if you live in Europe they cost 1450€ ! Roughly 1334 us dollars. As for the r700 they cost around 2350€ . If you take that into consideration the br09 are a better value, at least for those living in Europe.
Even less, if you go to eBay...1098 EUR a pair which is insanely good. Pick either these or the Monitor Audio Bronze 500 6G if you are on a budget.
I have heared the 8’s, very good. But actually liked the 7’s even more. Did you hear them?
Which one is more airy 9s or 8s ? i like airy ,high tones boosted sound.9s are for me?
@@fluxcapacitor3273 haven’t heard the 9’s sorry. If you like boosted mid/highs maybe checkout Focal speakers.
I'm surprised that Polk didn't do an r700 special edition like the r200 special edition. I think that's a massive own goal.
I have the BR03’s. I love them. They have excellent midrange, good bass presence, and airy highs. I tried to pair them with the center channel, but I found the center to be to resonant for me.
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
The mild resonance is why I advocate crossing over the center speaker higher than what you may think is necessary.
I'm glad yall reviewed these speakers and can recommend them. They look really classy.
Thanks for tuning in, Charles.
That was hysterical Kristi- have Polk and Triangle have a speaker baby!🤣🤣🤣
These are lovely speakers and sound way above their budget! Would definitely recommend for people on a tighter budget. The sound was very alike to the focal aria's I was aiming at.
Really? I was thinking about aria 948 but bit over my budget and size so these might be worth to consider. Hmm...
Danke!
Thank you for your support!
Thx.
@@VictorHernandez-xc2do Klipsch R-100SW 10", its a bargain for 200$.
Thanks
Thank you, James!
When you know the local market, the French make absolutely exceptional products
There are even smaller and local brands that are even better than triangle
It's good to have these kind of videos because usually we always see the same products on RUclips
I absolutely love that the center channel has the ports coming out the front. Space is a concern for my house, so it needs to be pretty close to the wall. The style of these speakers looks like they would match my 1970's "sorta mid-mod without spending good money on mid-mod" aesthetic.
Hi Kristi and Andrew, 🙂
I bought the Triangle Comète 40th anniversary speakers from the Esprit EZ line 40th anniversary.
Thanks for your review and see ya !
Same Price, Triangle Borea BR03 vs Ascend Acoustics CBM-170SE which do you start with? If Triangle I would eventually get BR08s & Center & move the BR03 to the rear. If Ascend Ill eventually get another pair and their Center.
Unfortunately I can't help you because I don't know anything about Ascend Acoustics. Thank you so much for supporting the channel.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews well in that case for the price is there anything you would choose over the Triangle Borea BR03?
I haven't heard the Br03s but if you are looking for a bookshelf, I'd highly consider these bit.ly/3DZRs6f.
They look fantastic and match the decor of your living room.
Yes! I have been eyeing these for quite some time and praying 🙏 you guys would review it!
Beautiful. And your room is so dreamy. QOTD: I would definitely go bookshelves just because I have a sub and a small space. But these are lovely.
How would you rate / compare the BR08/09 against the Esprit Antal EZ? (Leaving price aside)
Got the Br03, they are great and offer more than it costs
I just picked up my own 9's. They were the Mirage OM9's that i got used and near mint for a song. Got them 2 weeks ago and they sound fantastic! It seems like Bipole or Omnidirectional speakers are nearly nonexistent anymore. Think the speakers I have would sound incredible in your room. I am older and developed tinnitus so the non directivity of sound also helps immensely with that. That being said i am not missing anything and the soundstage is immense. But i digress.....just wanted to share my recent 9 acquisition and question about omnidirectional speakers or lack there of.
I have no problem with the looks of the Polk R 700 ' s , they are still the best speaker in my opinion. Have a great day !
Thanks for answering the QOTD! I think your strategy makes a lot of sense (it's what I would likely do myself).
And mine Bro9 is all white looks really nice in a living room
love this channel. best part is the chat with kristie you guys rock
I have been waiting for this one since i saw them in a previous vid. Man if looks could kill. So pretty. Look at that wood!!!
The whole line has finish options that even high-end brands can't match.
Sweet
Great to hear and I thank you for sharing!
God bless.
Interesting, people with smaller rooms will surely find it helpful and it will help save some money. 👌
Yes, that's true, too many speakers in the same box, the sound is compressed, box should be bigger for extra bass driver
Wow, you really dug into the research! Kudos :)
I have the Bro 3 with SVS Pro sub and Willsenton R8 tube amp and I love it. I am tempted by these, great review!
Great review.
I bought the 3's on a whim and loved them. So then came the 09's and center joining my existing
2 svs pb3000 subs.
I like these a lot even though they are much cheaper than many other speakers that I owned recently.
Andrew, I've been waiting for this!! I'm watching now...
I hope it was worth the wait. Let us know what you think once you've watched the whole video.

Thanks for the review Andrew and Kriti! If you can review the Triangle Australe Esprit EZ, it would be awesome 😊, that’s my favorite!
Appreciate you sharing your experience! Thank you so much!
They look so great in your room! It looks like it's taylor made to your decor😂🎉

So not the bro9’s tho..?
@@chinmeysway I haven't heard them myself, and my understanding is that they are meant for even larger rooms, perhaps larger than what I need. For me the BR08s are really fine.
@Kristi - the thing about speaker baby's is it might get the looks of the Polk and the sound of the Focal!
I put svs SoundPath feet on my br09s and the sound improved. I Had the br03 with several different sub combinations but the 09s with the same subs sound better . I just paired them with my new tonewinner ad-7300 amp and they are a great match.

They your room fit your perfectly.
Another great review.
You two just get better.

Andrew I loved the pairing of my Klipsch Forte ii’s with my Sansui 9090
I no longer have the Forte’s
Which speakers would you recommend to pair with my 9090 for under $2,000?
Thank in advance
Great review as always. I had never heard of Triangle until this review. Might have to seek out a dealer to get a listen in. What I'd really really really love to see you review is the Polk L600 and the matching center the L400. The Polk community really wants to see/hear a pro review of them. Cheers to you and Kristi and keep up the splendid work!

Nice looking Speakers. Could they be matched with the Leak Stereo 130? And is the stand removable?
It looks awesome!!! And those 6s 😍😘. It's ported so that's all I can say. Still stuck on its beauty, they definitely have the 'buy me' appeal !!
Awesome review as always
Thank you for watching Keyleb!
@@jakegibson6096 you mean the R700. They got "speaker of the year" here, not R600.
@@ManuelMedellin. I do, they’re close in build though. If you’re limited on space and room size idk why you’d get the 700 though
Did You pair it with the Decware? I am waiting for one and as I save for a La Scala I really looking for something to use it as I save for the Endgame
Would love to hear your opinion on the Triangle Esprit line Comete and Antal with the horn tweeter. How do the compare to the Borea line?
Hello Andrew,
For the wife I need to select speakers that have a nice Light oak finish. How would these compare to the Focal Theva series?
@andrew Robinson thank you for the great review. Have you heard the Dali Oberon 9? Any thoughts?
@@AbsoluteFidelity I’ve listened to the Chora’s and that tweeter (for me) gets old and tiring real quick.
@@Crandish99 when words like tiring and fatigue are brought into a conversation, there will no longer be a discussion because fatigue happens at different frequencies for everyone. I have some people telling me they get fatigue listening to wharfedales, thats how diverse fatigue can get.
@@AbsoluteFidelity "There will no longer be a discussion" LOL get off your high horse you weirdo.
Which would you say sounds better the borea br09 or the heco aurora 700
Have you ever considered auditioning current speakers by ESS? I have 4 of the ESS AMT 1a's. And have always loved them.
Is the Audiolab 6000A struggling driving these speakers or totally fine?
Great review, they match your room perfectly too. Thanks.
Klipsch center speakers rarely have intelligibility issues for Kristi!
@@andrewrobinsonreviews i was thinking it would sound way to bright and w no bass. But its really a fun experiment that went right
Please review HEGEL amps. Looks like Hegel would fit right in with those Triangles.
Hegel has been contacted several times and is aware that we and our viewers would welcome a review. The ball is in their court but truthfully, I wouldn't hold my breath. I know I'm not.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews OK, understood
Do you think Sonetto V are good speakers ? For instance would you choose similar speaker aha klipsch 8000F2 or R700 Polk or AE509 if they were same price ?
We have not heard the Sonettos.
Afternoon Kristi and Andrew👍👍
Morning KJ! Thank you for tuning in!
Good morning.
Have a pair of BRO3’s with a sub. It’s pretty excellent.
Good morning guys have a great Sunday 👍....
Hola!
Thanks, you too!
If you take the caps off the binding posts you can easily drill out the hole to ease banana plug fitment. I had to do this on both my Bro 2 and 3 speakers. Must be a French thing. Once opened up, all goes well and you won't damage your bananas by squeezing them too much.
THANKS ANDREW,THEY LOOK 👀 GREAT IN YOUR ROOM 🤗💚💚💚
Thank you guys for this new video.
Thank you for tuning in!
Can't wait for you to review the br10 and compare them to Polk r700 and klipsh RP 8000 ii !
Funny that you mentioned the Borea line as easy line considering they literally have an EZ line (which just looks goorgeous)
I'd love to know how these compare to the Q Acoustics 3050i...
I think these would feel a little brighter and more detail oriented not to mention more dynamic.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews thank you, very much appreciated
No, we will not be reviewing anything from them now or in the future.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Oh man! One of those kinds of Manufacturers/Brands. Oh well, their loss. Thanks for the quick response!
Since Polk is much expensive then I expect a better performance from it. But when it comes to value the Triangle is hard to beat.
They sound a bit "thin" compared to those, their strong suit is mostly that ridicolous clarity and transparency (like I mentioned)
Looking forward to your Review on the Klipsch 8000 Mark II !
I love the sound of my system.... but now, after reviews like this, I'm staring to wonder if there's another question I need to be asking: "When it comes to the look of your system, the only person who has to like it is you" lol! I'm actually perfectly happy but wish my R700s were a bit more of a 'looker' as well. Thanks again. Love everything you guys put out there.
I have the bro 3 driven by the new bluesound powernode i love that combo !
