Morning Big Ben. Ken here. I thought I'd fill y'all in on my 2022 F-150 Tranny Issue/replacement. I picked up my Truck this Tuesday from the dealer. I Paid my bill for the oil service I requested, got in my truck, which was running as my service writer delivered it from the lot. I went to a different location about 1 Mile away from the dealer to go around my Truck to firstly check for body damage since it was there for Two Weeks. I did find some scuffing on 3 Door Edges that I "think" is Ok, (due to having PPF put on all the doors). Took Pictures of it and sent them Immediately to my service writer. Now. After driving, and Paying Close attention to the NEW TRANNY and shifting, I was pleased with that far, on the rest of my Drive Home, (some 6 Miles), I started hearing something I NEVER HEARD before, and that's a Rattling noise coming from what seemed like the Dash area or the Fire Wall area, it goes with RPM's, and at times it's VERY Noticeable at Idle, (I recorder it also) and sent that to my Writer also. Next Morning, I drive a few Miles for Coffee with some friends, and Same Issue, However now, when I just put a very Little pressure on the accelerator, and let up (the Tac don't even move it's that light of pressure), It makes this NOISE like a Brake Peddle Bellows on an Old Car when you pushed on the Brake peddle, like a squeak, or like vacuum of some sort. Really quick, just a Tap on the accelerator and it make this Goofy Noise that was NEVER There??? I'am totally Bummed out, have no clue what they could have done, and now am going to have to go "back" to the dealer to have these new Issues addressed? JEEZE. All I wanted was the Noise Issue I have had since New taken care of? Which the New Tranny did resolve, But Now I have at this point, (2) New Issues that I didn't have B 4??? 😥.
Ya, One could only hope. They did do the Wiper Motor Recall??? and 2 others, E Brake Chaffing Issue, and Parking Lamp Flickering. Other than that, The Tranny Replacement. What get's me even more it this Strange noise from the Accelerator Peddle? It's really Strange, and was Also never there B 4. Thanks for the Reply Big Ben. Appreciate it very much.
Hey very helpful video, I already switched out my radiator fan for another one but it still doesn’t turn on!! Checked fuses and relays but no luck!! Also on 3:41 in the video, that connector that you got that not connected to anything with the red clip, I have the same one disconnected and I’m trying to figure out where it gets connected to.
I'm a ford tech so I'm not super familiar with these. I'd put a meter on the connector and see if it's getting power when it should be on. And there may be multiple fuses for the fan, so check your diagrams
I just had my radiator changed by a dealership body shop. Seems that they disconnected my ac lines for the condencer to pull the radiator. Am I right in assuming they didn't have to do this? And if they didn't purge the ac first it would squirt ac oil all over the firewall and windshield and wipers?? They said they did purge it, but only got .42 or .46 Oz. Would that be the amount left after being depressurized???
I do Ford work mainly, so I'm not sure what the capacity is of this AC system. It should be on a label under you hood. And yes, I was able to change the radiator without opening the AC system. If your AC is working properly, I won't worry too much about it. Any mechanic shop is legally obligated to recover the refrigerant into the machine. That will prevent loss of oil as well, as only a minimal amount is lost during that process
I believe this is a 2012 or 13. I don't work on jeeps normally so I don't know where the water pump is. Look around the accessory drive pulleys and I'm sure you'll find it
Thank you for a great informative video! I have this car & will be getting a radiator replacement. Did you have to evacuate/recharge the heat & cool system?
I'm having issues with my 2012 Jeep Compass Whenever I drive over 100 km (60 m) my engine temperature starts going up past the halfway point even though I have engine coolant in the tank and I have to turn the heat on all the way to max for the engine temperature gauge to go back to normal middle point I took it to my mechanic and he told me everything is good (no problems with the radiator, engine coolant tubes, etc.) and it might be an electrical issue I took it to the Jeep dealership and they checked the car out and couldn't figure out the problem They even took it out for a road trip driving to another city and back to simulate my problem and they definitely noticed the engine temperature gauge rising past the normal point yet don't know why it's doing that Do you have any idea why and thank you in advance for taking the time to read this

Thank you so much for this video. Doing the reverse install was annoying AF, but it worked perfectly
I'm glad the video helped!

I'm sorry for your luck there. If there's an obvious noise it should be easy for them to figure out. Maybe they left something loose

Thank you for sharing this. It was helpful in my diy radiator replacement.

It didn’t connect to anything on some models
Prior to finalizing and replacing the radiator, does one have to check if the fuse is not blown & maybe damage wirings?
Nope, shouldn't need to

Nice video bro very good nice work 👍🏻
@@JohnRott thanks 👍
I got the retaining pins out with a small flathead
Where is the water pump located on this vehicle? What year is it

Youre welcome! No Just the coolant. Not the AC refrigerant
Can fix a leak resolve this issue
Replace it. Don't put patch liquids in place of replacement. It's only a temporary fix. Gives you time to replace.
Don't trust those short term liquid sealers
Drain cock is on the passenger side, and accessible after you take the front dust shield off, or take the radiator out.

@@TheHomeInvasionShow I would do a combustion gas detection test in the cooling system
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles thank you very much
I'll do that and hope I helps
Other than that is there anything else you think it could be?
I really hope I don’t ever need to replace my radiator.
It's not too bad, try changing one on a 1.6l Ford escape
Jeeze, They build these vehicles like they are never going to break down and or need servicing???? They just Burry everything.
Yeah, and this one is easy compared to a 2013 to 2018 Ford escape!
