Just watched this today after last night having made your fried green Tomatoes I am sold on what you do in the kitchen. So happy I found your page. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us all.
I’m glad to see that hearts of palm can give a nice shredded meat texture. It’s much easier than jack fruit to find in the grocery store. Looks delicious, thanks for sharing!
I have made this twice already. So yummy. I used aquafaba the first time but they didnt hold too much. Second time around used a flax seed egg and they held much better. Thank you for the video ❤
Vegans aren’t the only folks looking for alternative options. We aren’t vegan but we eat a plant strong diet. Our faith & my son’s allergy prevents us from consuming shellfish. My little guy will be so happy to know that he can’t have crab cakes but mommy learned the recipe to crabby patties like on Sponge Bob! Thanks!!!
You can make a great swiss butter cream with Aquafava water. If you want your crab cakes to taste really good use cruched up nori sheets its seaweed and it's good. Worchester sauce has anchovies in it. To make it vegan use the nori seaweed sheets.
Hey, this recipe looks yummy - thanks for posting! I watched some RUclips’s & came up w/my own - it was good but this looks better! 😋😋 I like mine to be all healthy ingredients so I don’t use bread crumbs - I used nutritional yeast mixed in with the other ingredients in the food processor, and nutritional yeast & almonds processed together on the outside. They held together - not great, but - OK 😬 I’m excited to use the chickpea water as a replacement for egg - thank you!! 💐💐
seattlejayde, yes you can. You can either make a power with the sea weed or crush it and add it in the food processor with the other ingredients. I also suggest that you let it marinate for a few hours to get more flavor. I hope this helps. PEACE and BLESSINGS! !
I used to eat Taco Bell taco salads, without meat, every day. I have retired to a little town that has now grown to 2 stop lights. No Taco Bell for many miles & after finding out some things about companies, I now perfect to eat only what I prepare. I adore peas & beans so being Vegan comes easier for me than many others. Maybe you could come up with some fried cornbread patties & more recipes for refried beans would be great, too. Lol, I'll stop now, I get started & my brakes are long gone. PS I've found that quality coconut oil is wonderful so I don't miss butter, like I thought I would. 🌹
+Amber Davis you can actually use Dijon mustard instead of Honey Dijon if you choose to. I know a lot of vegans who consume honey.... being vegan is all based upon your perspective, as long as you are not consuming meat and dairy LOL. Thanks for the comment! 🤗
+Ash W hi there! You can find heart of Palm at most grocery stores like krogers, publix, and Wal-Mart. It's normally found in the section where they have canned artichoke hearts. You can also find it online at Walmart.com. If either of those store do not have it, you can try using canned jackfruit or artichoke hearts, but it might not taste the exact same. I hope this helps!

+seattlejayde thank you so much!
add small amount of nori sheet and it will have taste of crab or sea moss
Looks yummy! Thank you for sharing!

Added crumbled nori sheets to give it that seafood taste - um um good.
Awesome, thanks for trying it, I’ll definitely have to give that a try too!
Just found you - these look delicious! Will def be giving these a try. You're almost at 1,000! Congrats!!!

Cannot wait to do this!! Ty for not using tofu. It was hard to find recipes that don’t use soy products.
Yes I know the feeling! Thank you!
Right so glad for this recipe too
Omg, this was soooooo good. I took seatlejayde advice and added seaweed. Thank you so much for sharing😊

+seattlejayde thank you!
I would love for you to post more chickpea etc recipes..... please.
Coming up!!!
Question: should one add a crushed sea weed sheet to provide Fish-like flavor?
seattlejayde, yes you can. You can either make a power with the sea weed or crush it and add it in the food processor with the other ingredients. I also suggest that you let it marinate for a few hours to get more flavor. I hope this helps. PEACE and BLESSINGS! !
Thank you!!!
+seattlejayde you can if you would like! Definitely make it your own, but in case you cannot find the seaweed, it taste delicious even without!
Everyday LaTra good to know it can be expensive
seattlejayde definitely!
Love this recipe. I'm headed to my daughter's to make it for lunch. Thank you. :-)
+novicetech1 Oh thank you!!
Just made these for dinner. They’re amazing!
Yay awesome!! Thank you!
Looks scrumptious!!
I'm sure someone has already mentioned Honey Dijon mustard is not vegan. I used Dijon mustard and added in ground up Nori and Old Bay seasoning.
Enjoyed, thank you.

I will definitely explore those ideas! I love beans too! lol
TFS, what o you use for the 'crabby' taste? Big ups for the ole bay....not crab without ole bay....
+D K nothing extra than what you see in the video, heart of palm mimics crabmeat when seasoned with the seasonings uses in the video. 😊 thank you!
Omg you are so pretty and I love your hair
Thank you so much!!
🙋🏻♀️new subscriber! I love your enthusiasm! Do you post frequently?
Hi and Welcome Martha! I took a bit of a break and will be returning with all new recipes 2021. 🤗
These look really good. I have all of the ingredients. I wanted to note that Worcestershire sauce is not vegan, as it contains anchovies.
There is vegan Worcestershire sauce you can use, or you can remove the ingredient all together. 🤗
First, your hair is gorgeous. Do you have locs or braids? Second, thank you for this recipe! Your personality is lovely.
Thank you so much! I have micro locs 🤗. And thaaannnkkkk yoooouuuu!!!!
Wondering what I did wrong when I fried mine they all fell apart in the oil😟😔
Did you freeze them before frying?
@@MahmiKitchen No I didn't I guess I missed that step
Thank you
Where is your falafel recipe?!
Ummm I will try it
Hey just subscribed yes share them all lol
Thank you so much!!! More recipes coming very soon!
Great recipe, only thing I noticed that wasn’t “plant based” was the honey Dijon mustard just to let you know, as honey is not considered vegan :)
+Amber Davis you can actually use Dijon mustard instead of Honey Dijon if you choose to. I know a lot of vegans who consume honey.... being vegan is all based upon your perspective, as long as you are not consuming meat and dairy LOL. Thanks for the comment! 🤗
It certainly is vegan.
Did you use vegan Worcestershire sauce? Because regular has anchovies.
no hearts of palm here.. wanna find an alternative :/

But Dijon mustang isn’t vegan. Is it??
Honey Dijon isn’t “vegan” for those who don’t eat honey, but some vegans do. But regular Dijon mustard is vegan, and you can use that instead. 🤗
looks yummy- what happened to this channel- just found it.
Thanks! Will be returning with new recipes in December. 🙌🏽
Sounds good, but why call it crab cakes?
Lol for fun, when most people 1st go vegan they tend to look for recipes similar to the meat ones.
@@MahmiKitchen That aqua fabba could be a good solution to hold tofu burgers together instead of sesame tahini.

Not to discredit this amazing recipe at all but worcestershire sauce isn't vegan...It contains anchovies.
Thanks for the comment, but there IS vegan Worcestershire sauce! 🤗

It’s VEGAN “Crab Cakes”.... everyone know Vegan ain’t real meat! Lolol, it’s just fun play on words, lol can’t make it vegan using real meat.
@@MahmiKitchen i know lol i was joking have a blessed day
Use some seaweed flakes for fishy taste.
Not vegan. :(
This recipe is... if your concerned about Worcestershire sauce, there is vegan Worcestershire sauce!
