      Because he is playing on autopilot all the time, in mostly first, eventually third gear.
      He turns all 5 motors only when loosing, otherwise 2nd or 3rd gear max all the time.
      That's why many say he's boring.
      Yes, he's boring until loosing.
      Than Magic and Angst begin, and show quickly comes to an end.

    Djokovic, for me, is a symbol, an icon to draw inspiration from.
    Every time The Djoker displays superhuman will to beat the odds and win matches, like today, it gives me inspiration, a significant boost to push myself to the limits. The boost may only last for a week or two, but then Djoker has been displaying these superhuman abilities for close to two decades, giving me & countless others an ample dose of inspiration.
    So thank you, Novak, for inspiring me and innumerable others to push ourselves in our mundane daily lives. You're a symbol of hope and resistance.

    He will potentially have to play Ruud-Zverev-Alcaraz/Sinner to get to the title, all potential 5 sets, and brutal matches.

      I love watching Federer's matches the most, no doubt the most elegant and dominating player. I supported Nadal from the beginning mainly coz I was tired of seeing Federer win and also coz of his athleticism. And for Djoko, I feel the game is all in the head. His ability to recover and persist is unbelievable. There's a reason why he is at the top of the numbers. He's just the most difficult to beat in this game.

    For those criticizing Djokovic on faking or overplaying his injury and hence affecting the opponents game... you're seriously underestimating the Tennis IQ of a pro.
    Cerundolo did everything in his power to test out the extent of the Djokers injury - drop-shotting, targeting his BH and serving wide to his BH. As also confirmed by the commentators.
    He was just outplayed by a man who refuses to lose.

      @Almstfam Give it a break, man!
      He definitely had discomfort in the knee area. He might have overplayed, or the adrenaline just took over, we will never know.
      The fact is, injury or not, the opponent needs to be good enough to shut out all distractions and win the match. As simple as that.

    • @Almstfam
      @Almstfam 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@juandois6581 and thats what im saying he clearly overplayed it and me personnally i don't support that behaviour. And of course the opponent did not do his job maybe because of lack of experience in these situations, but clearly he was affected too.

    • @plutus2243
      @plutus2243 6 месяцев назад +20

      @@Almstfam Then you're underestimating Cerundolo and Tennis pros in general.
      They are trained to play as if the opponent is in perfect condition and if there is a any injury, use it to your advantage.
      You have to be a real idiot to fall for any injury tricks a opponent throws at you. It rarely happens at the GS level. All the players are absolutely cut-throat.

    Some people in comfort chair who never touch the racquet, after 100 times want to destroy the best tennis player of all time, only because he comes from Serbia. First situation was during his match vs Murray in semis 2015, when they interrupted this match before beginning of 5th set, because of potential storm starting. Where was the reflectors and roof in the court of tournament which has salary more than 100 million dollars every year? Second thing is situation of this match - people on purpose does not want to clean the court, and we all saw that Novak because of this situation hurts his knee. Maybe they can do everything to hurts he physically, but mentally he will always be the number one in history of the sport, and when he is mentally on top all you can wish is that you cannot be humiliated by the G.O.A.T.

    As much as Djokovic likes to prove his detractors wrong, there is absolutely no way he's going to get past Ruud - Zverev- Sinner/Alcaraz for the title.
    All his potential opponents are equal favorites for the title. And he's just played, two absolutely brutal 5 setters.

    Wow. I was thinking Novak would win in an easy 3 maybe 4 but cerundolo played incredible. How Novak won this match is crazy but the passion to rally from 2 sets to 1 down and a break is incredible. People will hate on Novak for “acting” but having almost 9 hrs of court time in the past two matches and missing out on a proper night of sleep is bound to have its effects especially considering how disciplined Novak tries to be with his sleep habits. While the chances of winning rg is low for Djokovic, he’ll keep going until he physically can’t.

    Shame on the organisers for not sweeping the courts more often even after a player has repeatedly pointed out that they are extra slippery. You would think that players' safety is more important than following rules especially if unusual weather conditions have resulted in court conditions that are different from the norm. There's no way Novak will be able to compete now (not at the level he would like to and definitely not against Sinner / Alcaraz). The organisers have robbed tennis of a really special Grand Slam final.
