@@chennis134 Exactly, and by that metric you'll pretty much never see a clay court match on this list. Even a match we can all agree is an all-timer, like Nadal-Djokovic RG 2013, would suffer by this rating because there are more forced errors than winners due to the nature of the court
That first match was INSANE. It's honestly the first time I've seen Alcaraz lose to his opponent. Admittedly I only started watching pro tennis again a few months ago, so it's not like I've seen all of his matches, but in all the highlights and stuff I've watched... Even though I've seen Alcaraz lose plenty of matches, I've only ever seen him beat himself. This match vs Dimitrov is the first time I've seen an opponent beat him. I guess maybe there was one match where I'd say that Sinner actually beat Alcaraz, but besides that this is definitely either the 1st or 2nd time I've seen an opponent beat Alcaraz, instead of him beating himself. Dimitrov was just playing out of his mind. Beating Alcaraz when he doesn't beat himself for you is like almost impossible, and he made it look EASY. Insanity.
Super interesting that 4 of the 5 matches were played at the ATP finals. You can see that the players are at the highest performance level at the end of the season and the best rating is only achieved by the best players
also, super fast indoor hard courts make it a lot easier for both players to make less unforced errors since serves and attacking tennis are effective enough to hit more pure winners and rallies are shorter. that definitely has something to do with it.
And it’s probably because the top 8 players have many fewer matches under their belt when they face each other, compared to, for example, a Masters 1000 tournament.
Yes it was the best match. This is just individual performance rated. That match sinner didn't start the best but it was far better as a a tennis match than all of these matches.
This same old matches are uploaded again by changing the title into performance matches .byt where is rafa unseen classics against Federer in monte carlo ,madrid and Djokovic vs nadal 2012,14 rome classics
His level is 9.28 against alcaraz but when he faced fritz he dropped to 8.something ..he struggled and produced some errors and fritz won with the help of serve in important moments .fritz is a sh* player than zverev without only 1 big title
Performance Rating combines In Attack, Conversion Score, Steal Score and Shot Quality to measure a player's performance over the course of a match!

7.Fognini vs nadal 2019 Montreal extended
Want this rafa classics very badly ..can't wait to see this mouthwatering extended highlights soon ..my humble request
Gotta feel bad for Fritz. He played lights out in Torino against Sinner, but Sinner is almost Djokovic/Federer like level on HC
Sinner is dominating fritz like how fed used to dominate roddick damn
Sinner dominates anyone with the level he’s playing at 😂
without almost
@@sandywexler1556Carlos?
and for zverev his rating was higher but still lost thats like his fourth loss to fritz this year
0:01 Dimitrov vs Alcaraz
4:24 Sinner vs Fritz
8:39 Fritz vs Zverev
13:23 Zverev vs Alcaraz
17:55 Sinner vs Fritz (final)
yooo the US is finally showing up again!
4 out of 5 of these matches are played between current top 4 players - nice way of showing why they deserve to be at the top!
The only other match is also on a fast hard court, maybe the performance scoring is also skewed towards that kind of court.
Yes, it is skewed since it's easier to hit winners on fast hard courts

The Dimitrov vs Alcaraz match has to be my favorite from this year. Insane level
Sinner is incredible!
Two times 4 + 4 against Fritz who played fantastic too at the Finals!😇
great video, love the concept. do more of this!
Performance rating gets skewed, favoring matches that are on fast hard courts, since it's easier to hit winners on them
Also skewed towards towards taller players with big serves since that greatly effects performance rating.
This is new. Love it
Sinner vs Zverev Cincy semis was by far the most competitive match. Sinner screamed at the end..this dude has no emotions for even slam wins😂
Sinner was also physically struggling during that match
Dimitrov vs Alcaraz the most fun to watch by far - both have mad skills, movement & touch 🙌🔥👏
Wasn’t the final in Beijing between Sinner and Alcaraz that good?🤔
Definitely, sinner vs zverev too i think
Yes it was the best match. This is just individual performance rated.
That match sinner didn't start the best but it was far better as a a tennis match than all of these matches.
Dimitrov - Alcaraz is the best, all shots in the book. The others four look the same.
Sinner 9.51 is crazy 💀
Rune - Dimitrov?
I wonder if there are matches where the losing player has a higher performance rating? Might be possible
8:38 - Fritz had a lower Performance Rating than Zverev at the Nitto ATP Finals semi-final!
@@tennistv Maybe the numbers were mixed up, on the community tab under the post of top 5 rated matches the ratings were switched and Fritz was higher
Congrats to Fritz he has taken his game to a new level, he has the best serve +1 on tour but sinner is just too good
What is performance rating?
Why are all of them from the Nitto ATP Finals 💀
Dimitrov's win over Alcaraz was at the Miami Open 1000
fritz being considered a top performing player really shows how badly the top 10 has fallen off this year outside the top 3
highest performance match of the year was novak vs carlos at the olympics.
The performance rating system favours fast courts because it is easier to hit winners

olympics final is #1 no doubt
It isn't. It is the Beijing final
wasn't Alcaraz making a whole ton of unforced errors that match?
@@uhhmmm-g8c no? at which point did that happen?
ye the zverev one is js so sad
Zverev loosing Despite having played better, a zverev special..

dimitrov being in this video makes it invalid
😂 Yeah, any one can beat Alcaraz - twice in a row 😂 Jealous much?
