Once Batman returned the coin to him with all his villains surrounding him in a cell. The villains let Two Face decide if Batman dies or goes free. Two Faced flipped the coin and said Batman goes free. Right as Batman walked out, it is revealed that the coin landed on the scarred side, meaning Batman should've been dead. He was so thankful for Batman returning his coin to him, this was the only time he ever defied the coin. That's how attached he is to the coin

He told Penguin there were undercover GCPD officers in his gang and also let Penguin imprison Freeze in his museum knowing Freeze was being forced into working on a cure for Joker's Titan disease and hoped that without the cure Joker would die because Strange was paranoid Joker would reveal that Strange had been controlling Sharp and about Protocol 10 as well. He also tormented the Riddler about not knowing Batman's identity which angered Riddler enough to kidnap the medical team so he could lure Batman into his traps. He was also the one who had Nora delivered to Joker to force Freeze to work on a cure for Joker's disease.
+Xehanort10 Hugo Strange has been a Batman villain long before Joker and Catwoman. I think he deserves to be the main villain of any future live-action Batman film.

I love Dent! I don't know why but split personality villains always intrigue me. Where the one half is the more heroic, kinder and victim in the situation while the darker half is in control where they are ruthless, dangerous and evil. It reminds us about how many of us have a dark side within ourselves, just trying to claw its way out. With Two-Face, he flips a coin and if it's heads, Dent is released. If it's tales, Two-Face is released. I also like Scarface and the Ventriloquist.
Ventriloquist and Scarface always interested me as well. Sometimes it felt like Scarface was actually living doll and Ventriloquist was just stuck to him. I think at one point Scarface actually threatened to kill him for speaking up despite the fact that if he dies then so does Scarface.
If you remember TDK, Dent was referred to initially as "Gotham's White Knight". Two Face is a overarching grand metaphor for how corrupted even by a literal face Gotham entirely is. I mean a damn Bat symbol is heroism? You gotta see the irony in that is incredulously dark and nihilist.
Harvey had acid thrown on his face by the acused in a court case in which he was the attorney and as a result it severly burned him and also damaged his lucky two headed coin given by his father on one side. Before he was burned Harvey had always been struggling with multiple personality disorder but always tried to restrain it but once he was burned and his career was in ruins his darker side took a more prominant role so he coped with this by using the coin toss to make decisions for each side

Harvey believes in fairness and justice but believes that fate is the only plausible thing that is fair in life thus basing decisions of the heads or tails of the coin to determine his fate. however like hugo said he had that side of him since the beginning and he was constantly struggling with it same way bruce struggle with his batman ego but bruce decided to control his pain and anger therefore control his fate (he doesn't even believe in fate). my conclusion is that the coin was never about fate to be exact. it was more about deciding whether Harvey should let his ego (two face) make the decisions or not.

He speaks about Fate so often because fate is this 3rd party in the form of the coin, but it's purpose is more to control the two sides than act as some religious crutch
Aaron Eckhart was amazing as Harvey/Two-Face and deserved way more recognition than he got. I can agree with you, it was primarily Joker's story. I loved TDK interpretation of him at any rate.

He did include scenes hinting at Harvey having split-personality disorder when he interrogated the schizophrenic so I guess he did pay homage to The Long Halloween pretty well. They didn't rip it off, that's Two Face's current look in the DC comics continuity. Ever since Loeb and Sale's The Long Halloween he has looked like this over the blue look. I feel that the old look was good for the earlier days, but his modern scarring makes more sense and shows you more of a twisted humanity.

I dont think Nolan missed it. In the Dark Knight its the beginning of Two Face. Here we have Two Face who's dual personality has escalated. Still this game is so awesome
it's kind of canon that even in this game he has dissociative identity disorder so for him at least, there is always going to be a lack of control on his actions. He won't feel like he is in control of himself since technically his behaviours are split into two. Plus the whole duality thing and implied backstory that his dad used the coin to give him the chance to escape a beating but he never actually escaped it since the coin was double-headed. so whether or not Harvey decides to do bad or not is really unknown.

I think in the comics, Hush was the one to cure Two-Face by repairing his face. But that didn’t last long.

They didn't rip it off, that's Two Face's current look in the DC comics continuity. Ever since Loeb and Sale's The Long Halloween he has looked like this over the blue look.
I feel that the old look was good for the earlier days, but his modern scarring makes more sense and shows you more of a twisted humanity.
Aaaaaaaaand Two-Face is foiled YET AGAIN by replacing his coin with a false one. You'd think he'd learn by now.

Do you notice that at 2:27 when he is talking about Falcone.. his voice changes? He's Harvey when he's talking about Falcone. Then.. he switches back to Two Face voice. Hmm. Interesting.

it's kind of canon that even in this game he has dissociative identity disorder so for him at least, there is always going to be a lack of control on his actions. He won't feel like he is in control of himself since technically his behaviours are split into two. Plus the whole duality thing and implied backstory that his dad used the coin to give him the chance to escape a beating but he never actually escaped it since the coin was double-headed.
so whether or not Harvey decides to do bad or not is really unknown.

@Wingerdinger0 But in likeness of The Dark Knight they absolutely fail to show us why he's one of the three leading super-criminals within Arkham City. Heck, within Gotham City! I mean, he's described with the term "criminal mastermind", isn't he? AND he's one of the most personal foes Batman has, so why couldn't they tie him more into the story?
The guy who voices him sounds like the same guy who does Batman in the telltale series. Especially when he starts talking like Harvey not two face

I think Nolan's Twoface is good, great even. But you're right, he doesn't have a dual personality, he's all bad and got there by choice. Between the two, THIS is how he's supposed to be :)
