Every good cabin needs a mudroom ❤ I think it's the perfect size. Our homestead house is 2400 sq ft and we pray we sell this spring so we can downsize and hubby can retire. I love your cabin!!

Very rarely do I carry a phone on my person. Someone else always has a phone for emergencies that I can use!? Old school is my way! The tour and size of y'all's cabin is spot on! Looks great guys I think your cabin is the perfect size ! I started with a 12x8 which I eventually expanded to 12x12 then I added a 16x24 log cabin to that so my cabin is essentially the same as yours.

I love your cabin and the open concept as well as the high ceiling. It is laid out very well, The coat room is definitely good to have. Agree with the big windows love love the bathroom ( you dont need a huge bathroom you only do the necessary in their. bedroom is perfect and nice size. You have a spectacular view.. I think your cabin is beautiful. I personally can't imagine why anyone feels the need for a huge house. I see the monstrosities and think that the house owns them instead of the other way around. You two are not having to work 50-60 hours a week to pay for stuff. Stuff just keeps you hostage, and for no good reason. I enjoy watching you guys to see what adventures find you next. Some waste time trying to produce professional videos and get little done, you have achieved a balance of good video and lots of accomplishments... However, your links will not answer my question... Where to next? What does 2024 hold for you guys ? ? You seem to have solved all your opportunities with the exception of the pantry and possibly an adequate water supply, but I may be totally wrong about that...
We have some fun stuff ahead my Friend. More gardens, root cellar, larger food plot/orchard, outdoors kitchen and shower. I might even build a small log cabin down by camp.....Jay Style, LOL

How warm do your floors get in winter temps? I hate cold feet and am wanting my cabin while built on the cheap, not have cold floors. Thanks, great job guys. Happy and prosperous New Year!
Honestly the bubble foil we use works great. The floors never seem cold to me. I don't have a Lazer temp gauge to test the floor temp, but way water than one would expect.
We Spend a Majority of our Time here, Although we do go down state for family stuff and occasional work stuff....most of our time is spent here at the cabin

Did you have to pull permits? If so, which permits did you pull? Was the process a pain? Thanks for your videos!

Currently we are still using our stored rain water from our tank into the cabin, but this is only because the weather has been mild. Normally we melt Snow.....lots of Snow, LOL

The main cabin is 16x24 the bedroom is 11x12 so just a smide over 500 sq feet, 516 to be exact.

That is a Berkey water Filter system......Very Popular system. Gravity drips from the top canister to the bottom.

10.4 Cubic Foot Magic Chef....bought at Home depot. $330.00 US......uses about 60 watts when going through its normal cycles

We used Simple Post and Beam....Just treated 4x6 posts in the ground. Worked well so far in our SANDY soil
