THIS PLANE IS BEAUTIFUL. VERY WELL MADE. LOOKS AMAZING FLY'S PERFECT. CONGRATULATIONS BANANA HOBBY 🇬🇧🛫🛩️🚁✈️🛬♥️ RC INFORMER/BANANA HOBBY 👍😁
That metallic red and gold finish! Looks magnificent! Thanks for sharing, interesting insight into mounting the EDF.
Very nice installation video Rich! I shared it to my group. Got guys ordering them already and pre-ordering the highly popular blue one like mine. Hopefully I will be unboxing my this coming week. 🙏
Excellent bro💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Excellent job, that is going to ripe the sky!!
Hi Rich great vid, if your using a JP fan then you need too get there ESC unit as it’s a matched pair.. JP’s set up is top notch as you know and I’ve used other brands of ESC with no success as timing and pcm are paramount with these units.. Love the L39 and it’s a shame that there not importing the brand too the UK!! Keep up the good work always love yours and Steve’s videos 👍👍🇬🇧
Looks amazing Rich, hopefully this one will land our shores in South Africa as well.
Great info Rich. I can tell you have a lot more patience than I do. I could not have done such a clean careful job once, let alone multiple times for the camera. Good work.
I use a lot of foul language during the clips that I screw up... lol
@@RCINFORMER LOL- I understand.....
Rich -very nice! Hey- Sure would like to see this one at the Pilot Ryan Electric Fly-in over at the Imperial RC Club in Mulberry - Mid May. I plan to come down and attend that one a meet you folks. :)
Will probably be there:)
Some great upgrades Rich 👍🏻
HI RICH THANKS FOR POSTING BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS VIDEO. LOVED THE FIRST 2. GREAT SERIES 🇬🇧🛫🛩️🚁✈️🛬♥️ RC INFORMER 👍🤩
Hello Rich - Your videos are AWESOME!!! - Are the cowlings for L-39 105MM JP Fan available? How do I order one? If you don't have access to a 3D printer, at point 11:32 in your video; thank you.
Hi Rich, I tried to purchase the bullet connectors from Banana hobby but what you get is 2 male connectors. The red one is perfect but the black one is male and needs to be a female to connect to the RCJ EC5-HSD series Y harness (HV) connector like you are using in the video. So can you tell me where to purchase the correct black female connector and also can you recommend where to get the wire to make them longer from the ESC to the batteries?
BH should have them
Beautiful job.......what a great bird....love the sound...jet without fuel. :O)
This version or the freewing is better?
The FREEEING model is very good! it's just a lot smaller... it is an 80mm fan on 6s... this is a 105mm on 12s :)
Bad idea for wire in the loop couse u instantly generate a Electro-magnetic fieald never ever lead wire like that couse it can mesed up the Compas in Flight controler and it can generate RF Noise and affect the RX in the model.Stay coll and hope that this plane will live a long life.
It has not been a problem, but you're correct, it is better not to coil it:)
Serious foamie indeed
Rich what is the name of the adapter that will allow you to connect 6s lipos with EC5 female plugs on them to the plugs coming from the ESC on the L39? Thanks
It is called a AS150 to EC5 12S Series Battery Cable Adaptor.
The connector has two different designations or part numbers...AN150 or AS150 7mm bullet connector.
@@RCINFORMER Thank you very much Mr Rich
Hi Rich, great video, just watched the whole series. I have mine in the box about to build it. where did you get that adapter? I can't seem to find one online.
Banana Hobby is supposed to cary them soon! This one was given to me:)
@@RCINFORMER i buy a new one yesterday in Germany at Final Modellbau, but no scops in the Kit. Where do i get the scops, ore where i get the 3d File to print it by my own?
I have the same motor/fan and ESC but can only get 100amps at full throttle no matter what ESC timing I’m using. I am measuring just at one battery via telemetry. Any suggestions why my amps are low.
I have a 300 ft runway. Barely enough for my 70mm edf's usually. So does a larger edf slow down easier? Is there a way to reverse thrust to use as a speed brake on edf's by flipping a switch?
This aeroplane will land pretty slow, I was just a little hot on the 1st flight to be conservative.... The next flight will show a shorter distance landing.... Also it comes with brakes so you can stop it pretty fast:)
@chucky Whiskers what i do is put a reversing ESC in any jets i want to be able to stop in a hurry-acts just like a thrust reverser🤷♂️ obviously just make sure of course you get one capable of the Amps 👍
@@Johnn_T can you do this with any ESC?
How much is this aircraft the way you have made it up
About $1200 to $1300... This is the upgraded version with the JP Fan... the receiver ready version will be around $1100 which includes the Change Sun Fan & ESC.
Hey Rich! Great build detail. What 3D printer are you using?
I had someone else printed for me but I think it was a ender machine.
Does the guy sell those piece to other people I would like to to buy it .please let me know thank you 😊
Rich, I think I’m gonna splurge on this one. Should I go the JP route over the RTF version? Really like my JP in my Freewing F-16. Any chance a 120 would fit in this?
If you can, please use my link below the video to purchase one. I always prefer the JP but the CS Fan is solid... you just need to check that the rotor is tight & it is balanced:) call anytime as I can give you better info more quickly! 407-683-6032
Some guys are putting in Jetfan 110 EDFs and others but you need some modifications to do it:)
Hi I have the L39 and love it but I would like the fan ducks as I got the early kit without them would you have a 3d print file for them please thanks Andy
Hi Andy, if you get in touch with BH they should be able to send you the STL files to print some off-i had to get my own printed by someone else as i don’t have a 3d printer. If you don’t have any success with BH let me know and i will go through my email to find them for you ok🙂
👌
Link for the ESC!!
They are due in stock soon... I trying to get a date for you, but shipping is hard to predict due to covid... but they are due in soon:)
Where we can find the STL FILE to print those scoops ... ;-)
I can send them or you can contact banana hobby.
send me an email rcinformer.rich@gmail.com

Where can I buy the files for the 3D printed inlet duct
You would have to contact Banana Hobby. carrieLau.Jet@gmail.com
I can’t seem to find anything about these V-Good speed controllers, good or bad. Who sells them and why are they better. I found some kind of speed control that brag they are made for these JP fans……
All I know is that they work quite well and they are the ESC that it included. It was chosen because it seemed to put out the most power of several that were tested:)
@@RCINFORMER interesting, I haven’t been able to find the big one in stock, I keep getting the mantis brand as the mate of a JP fan during my net searches.
@@mrt10352 Ralph Salgado did testing with the V-GOOD and found it to be more powerful with the JP fan than other controllers.
Where did you find fan ducting file ?
Contact banana hobby and they should be able to help as mine came from them :)
Looks like Blitz RC Works is doing a lot better job in manufacturing their aircraft. Man, I remember about 8 years ago Blitz was horrible quality and Pete got a lot of flack from that on the forums...
Rich, you'll find that the EDF version of this plane is SEVERELY choked in terms of intake... A much larger cheater vent(s) would drastically improve performance. Just a tip.
It seems to do ok
@Alpha10 What are you basing that on?
@@memcrew1 A decade of modifying and testing countless fan combos in countless airframes. You'll also see dramatically different static thrust test results if you test with the edf cover open and closed. (Dead give away that the fan lacks proper intake) Try it.
@@fern6978 ok
Any comment where someone else can get the file to print the ramp
