Yes, for cleaning reasons. That's why I'm here. No ulterior motives.
Thanks though!
Great video. Only guy on RUclips who answered my question
Cleaned a house last month that had flex screens. Never heard of them or seen them. Told her it wouldn't be a problem when she called. If you haven't seen them i understand, starting price is 60 bucks for a small 24x24 screen. I wish all houses had them. You push out from the center, the sides of the screen flexes inward creating an hourglass shape. You grab one side and pull the screen out. Super super easy. I almost felt guilty charging her.
Best thing is knowing how to fix them. So you clean all the windows and fix all broken screens it’s a great add on
Wow, very thorough and helpful for a new homeowner. 👍 Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video as usual super helpful advice 👍🏼 great show you and Joshua had last night appreciate you and your time was hoping to see you in the comments you are right they are tension springs
Also I am starting my very own window cleaning business in my area and you have been a great help with that I watch your videos every day sometimes I even watch the same ones over and it has literally paid off. I am extremely grateful for that. Your an inspiration
Glad to help
you're
U make this look so easy. Im going to try.
Yaaaaaassss! 1st!! The GOAT! 🙌
You are officially my hero. Thank you.
Helpful as always!
Just started doing odd jobs for friends and all the tabs were broken off of new-ish Lexar windows at one house. This is super helpful!!
Yes, that is so common unfortunately. Those tabs can be so brittle ☹️
Great job brother. You are really a professional
Thank you
Good video. I’m fighting with my screen right now so I came on you tube to find a video. TY
Thanks! New home owner here and my windows are filthy….I feel like I can actually pop my screens off now and clean the windows. 😊
Thank you soooooooooooo much for this upload!👊🏽
well done. thank you
Thank you!
Nice art on that right arm
Oh thank you this is my first screen I removed without damaging it. I didn't have a putty knife, but the pizza slicer worked. LoL
Me on the outside & son on the inside lifting the tabs. The pizza slicer popped it right out😆👍
Nice 👍
How are they supposed to come out, though? We have a brand new home, we undid the latches on the screens and pulled up and tried pushing and pulling it every which way and it won’t budge. Pushing out isn’t an option… the plastic covers the sides. Pulling in, they don’t fit. I don’t even know how he installed them.
Steveoooooooo!!!! 🤙🏻💯
How do you remove them when they’re on the second floor from the outside and can’t stand on the roof easily?
Sometimes i feel lucky that im not in the US we barely have screens here in germany and if so theyre fairly easy to get out and back in cause theyre usually just held by two metal pieces that are at the top and bottom of them
Hey SteveO, I've been looking at squeegees recently and noticed that some have quite soft / flexible rubber on the end while others have a firmer "stronger" feeling rubber. which would you recommend and are there different uses for each?
thanks in advance :)
Soft rubber is best for winter and hard rubber is best for warm weather, Ettore master squeegee rubber is a great year around rubber, I suggest going with that

@@SteveOthewindowcleaner thanks for that, I live in Australia so the hard rubber seems like the logical option haha
So these screens and be replaced or put in from the outside on these types of windows…meaning you don’t have to be inside to put them on right?
Correct
So do you remove every customers screen? Or do you ask beforehand for the customer to have them removed?
I always remove them, clean, and reinstall
What do YIU do when you accidentally break one? Do you just give them a discount or pay for a new one?
If I break one, I can take it somewhere local to have it repaired.
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner oh ok
I can't figure out how to put my screens back in. They popped out, from the outside, real easy.I had new screen put on them.... But now I can't figure out how to get them back in!!!! They are sides spiders without tabs or springs.
Side sliders. Not spiders!!!
I live on a 5th floor im afraid of it falling 😂😂. But i want it out
where I live, a lot of houses have sliding windows where the only way to get the screen out is to lift the sliding glass pane out first (then put the glass back so you can clean it, then reverse the procedure once screen is ready to reinstall). Such a stupid design!
