Exactly, The short length of the vid is why I chose this one and loved how he got right right to the title without all the "like, hit, subscribe: chatter. He saved that for last. Well done.
OMG finally a video without any opening credits or music or long drawn out explanation of what it's going to contain before even starting the job! I love this! You should make an instructional video for all the other people who make painful videos.
This never goes out of style, screen replacement is something that does not change. I’ve watched several DIY videos on replacing and yours is one of the fastest and easiest to follow. The hand on the last edge is definitely a must so it is not too tight. Great job.
Placing your hand on the screen in the last run solved my problem of over tightening and bowing the frame. I knew someone (YOU) had a good method. Thank you.
Excellent video, out of all the videos I watched about how to re screen a window this was the only one that addressed the issue of the frame deflecting. Thank you
Is it inappropriate to tell you I love you? 😆🥰For years I've have been dumbfounded as to how to repair a screen and I think I watched a video or two but this was simple and to the point! Thank you!
Mine were ending up too tight and warping the frame. Your "palm on the last side" tip was very helpful. Your explanation of the process was easy to understand. Thanks for this awesome video. Keep up the good work!
When I got the message someone gave me a thumbs up I figured I'd come back and say how it went. It worked like a charm. I may have even been faster than Alex lol. My issue was trying to get the screen seriously tight. Even having my hubby and daughter pulling on the screen. I also did not understand the difference between the 2 wheels on the tool. Just learning the screen did not have to be tight...the right end of the tool to use..things just moved along. I'm very thankful I choose this video to watch and always prefer the short sweet and to the point ones. Thanks Alex.
WOW!!! Thank You. I’m an older female that is not savvy in window screen replacements and found your video easy to follow. Though it took me more like 30 minutes to your 3, it really was so easy!! My edge trimming didn’t turn out all pretty, but it’s functional & I know the changes to make next time. Thank you again - I’ll be checking out your other videos!!
Watched the 3 min video, followed your clear directions and was finished in about 15. Thanks... you saved me time, money and taught me a new skill. Shukria (means Thx in urdu.)
Hahaha, I’ve had several screens sitting in a pile because I didn’t know how to do this. Just finished the first one in just a few minutes. The things they don’t teach you in school!
Thank you so much for posting this video! I try to do all my own home maintenance and I have a LOT of screens that need to be replaced! It was a daunting thought but now I feel more than capable!! Thank you again!!!
Your video is excellent. Straight to the point. Effective. Done 2 of mine in about ten minutes. Have about a dozen and half to go. We have cats and they love climbing window screens. The joys of owning a home with pets. The tasks never end :-D
This is incredibly helpful. You have a real knack for explaining information in a clear and concise way. I genuinely hope that you pick up this channel because I feel like your content could be really big. Rooting for you~!
Thanks! I'm rescreening a few frames this weekend - I got the tools and screen material but didn't know how to do this - your instruction video is perfect!
Thank you. This was a very quick and to the point DIY video. You were concise and articulate. As the last person said, this is what all such videos should be like. I left your video and went and did three screens. Took me more than 3 minutes but I likely got all 3 done in 15-20 minutes while kneeling on the floor.
That was amazing to watch. I am building screens for each section of my screen porch (20 large sections). I would love it if you had a video on building the screens - especially cutting the frames and a quick easy way to do that. It is taking me forever to do the cuts with a little hack saw while the frame wiggles around even when I use the miter box to help hold it. I will take any and all advice you have for me. Thanks again for putting up a PERFECT video of the rescreen. I have to do about 20 of those also.
Great video. Not sure if I am replacing my screen, paying someone to repair it or repairing it myself but I am glad to have watched this video. I think I can make a better decision now that I have watched it. The video is very straightforward with clear instructions. Great job. Oh, I liked the comment that said this video was "straight to the task with simple explaining along the way". Ditto.
Geez, you did this so easy!! So I'm a 54 yr old female who has to replace a clawed up window screen, and slider screen door. I'm gonna attempt to do this by myself when I order the spline on Amazon. I subscribed in case I need more help from you! ☺️
Thanks for the video!!! Don't wait to long to replace them ,like I did. My old spline was white and came out in powder, I had to use a very small screw drive to get it out, 15- 20 a screen. The new one went in just like you said, looks great!!! Thank you
Great video! I struggled and failed with this for about half an hour. I then watched your video and completed the job in about 3 minutes and it was perfect! Thanks for sharing.
That was amazing. As the third side snugged up and didn’t pull the frame in, my jaw dropped. I hope to get as good as you! Thank you for the trick about putting down a palm. I’ve been building fixtures to keep the frames from bowing in, and this will definitely help!
OK. I'm going to go try it now. They are rectangular. I'm hope that does matter and glad to know I don't need the screen super tight. Thanks for the video.
my chubby cat fell through my snakes tank screen lid and ripped it. 100% thanks to you, I ran to Home Depot and fixed it on my own with more durable screen :) thank you!
Thank you! Honestly, the hardest part, was cutting the screen along the frame, after placing the spline into the grooves. Had little pieces of screen all over the place haha
Thank a bunch mate from Nova Scotia, Canada the flies here are so big one took my wife last night and I'm cowering in the corner of the basement right now.
After all this time I thought it would be WAY harder than this to get it tight. Talk about hyping up something that isn’t that hard. Thanks my Brotha! (I know I’m late, but hopefully you still see this)
Perfect. This is what all instructional videos should be like - straight to the task with simple explaining along the way and then done.
crissmey thanks for watching,please share!

Foreals! No mumbo jumbo.
OMG finally a video without any opening credits or music or long drawn out explanation of what it's going to contain before even starting the job! I love this! You should make an instructional video for all the other people who make painful videos.
Thanks! Lol and I probably have a couple of those videos your talking about but I know what your talking about

Notice he keep hand above the razor blade. Keeping his hands above and away of direction of the cutting direction. GREAT VIDEO. !!!!
Where can I buy the materials?

kelly girl great job I’m glad I was able to help. And if you get it too tight you can bow the frame or it can cause it to twist

What a great video. Doing my whole sun porch. The more I do the faster I get. Thanks for sharing! You saved an old man some money 💰!
Great how to video. Instead of going on and on forever you keep it short and sweet with easy to follow instructions. Thanks
The best instructive video on this task I have seen so far. thanks.
Hahaha, I’ve had several screens sitting in a pile because I didn’t know how to do this. Just finished the first one in just a few minutes. The things they don’t teach you in school!
LOL, Same here! I know what I'm doing tomorrow. ☺
Yeah THIS should have been in my Home Ec class, instead of how to bake a brownie. Brownies are cheap at the store.
Thanks for just doing it and getting down to business. I don't like the long over explanations on some DIY's.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I try to do all my own home maintenance and I have a LOT of screens that need to be replaced! It was a daunting thought but now I feel more than capable!! Thank you again!!!
I’ve watched several of these videos, and yours is the best. Loved the tip about putting your hand on the screen on the final side.
GREAT video Alex! Showed just what needed to be shown. It took me about ten minutes total after getting my supplies. Well done!

Thanks Julio! I have not done a rescreen in 30 years! Great refresher course.
Yours is the best How To Video out there on rescreening. You can tell you know what your doing.
