Do you know if it’s the same procedure with the overhead console? Had my XJ for 2 years and gets annoying at times when I have to put stuff down to unlock the door with a key.
Hey I just wired this up on my 91 xj that came with keyless entry but can’t get it to work so far. Before I start yanking off door panels, is it possible this doesn’t work on the older xj’s?
@@MajorWeakness looks like it was just a coincidence, engine light is gone. However the system worked flawlessly after install, left it for a few hours to come back to it not working and now my passenger side controls do not work. Maybe a short somewhere? I checked fuses and all look intact
@@MajorWeakness I know I'm being picky but I'd like a more square remote. Could you do me a favor and find one with a square black remote for around as much, or cheaper? I'll pay you for your time...?

@@brad9798 I believe all of the lock mechanisms on the XJ go through the passenger side door lock. Possibly you have a bad lock actuator or your passenger side door lock is defective since everything goes through that not sure why it wouldn't work. There is another RUclips video out there on the installation I'll see if I can find it and post it
I am have the same problem except now I can’t lock my doors even from the doors and it is wired correctly and it won’t even go back into programming mode

It is possible. You might be able to email the company or search for other videos for older XJs

Will it work with a 1997 xj that has a mobilizer security system .?
I'm sure it will replace the factory system.
Looks like a cobble up job to me . I want everything to work like it is supposed to.
Still working great. The original module is plagued with issues. I've tried used modules and fobs and they never last
Installed this and now my o2 sensor has high voltage only after the install… how.
I've never heard of that happening, not sure the circuits are even connected

Do your lock switches work on the master switch?
Yes
I had a similarly long lasting troubleshoot for my door locks. Turns out a connector on the passenger was somehow disconnected. Now this FOB works!
Does it only work on jeeps?
It should work on any electric lock vehicle but it might not be as easy
Would this work on the CC-150?
If he had electric locks in the past it should work
