Great review. I bought one in the fall but did not use it yet. Definitely will use in the spring with the help of my son. I have a gas chainsaw for larger pieces. I think this electric one will get more use because I have smaller jobs to do. Mine is of a different make but I’m sure it will get the job done. Thanks for sharing. Tony.
Yeah man I’m all in on electric yard tools. Especially like the tiller and chainsaw. I’m too old to be pulling on a cord on small engines that don’t wanna crank. I bet you’ll love the one you got. When you do get to use it, let me know what you think. I just got a electric pressure washer from a company to review. It came in today. Worked great for a few years. Cut tons of wood and several medium trees wth it. Thousands of cuts. Eventually the chain kept coming off and then the gears got stripped. Worth it but eventually it will give out.
I’m going to dig this out of my shed , it was handed down to me from family. Never used it yet. Got some branches knocked down from this winter ice storms I need to clear. Thanks for the honest video. What the hell right? I got it for free!
I’ve had A Remington 14” electric since the 80’s. 2 HP with an onboard sharpener and oiler. I have used it many times on tree limbs 6-8 inch diameter. Put an aggressive chain on it and its a cutting fool! Never once bogged it down.
Does anyone know how much this saw weighs? I had one and the gears wore out. Can't find an exact replacement. There appears to be a newer model and I'm trying to compare weight. The newer model has the 16" blade vs the 14" I was used to. I believe it also self oils.
