In this video i am showing, how to install ssd in lenovo laptop by replacing the internal HDD, my laptop's model is Lenovo G50 70 Intel 4th Generation Laptop.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop, model number SVE14AJL6L . I bought many years ago. I haven't used it since purchasing it except for setting up account and few websites. I recentlystarted to check it out and it is slow, battery runs out fast and it is windows 8. I am not tech savy and not DIY. Some people suggested to me to install windows 10 or higher and change the hard drive to SSD. Thank you! I was just searching on youtube, and clicked on yours. The amazing thing is, this is the EXACT laptop I have! Thee G50. It belongs to my wife and is soooo slow. Question, it seems to show 2 drives, 'c' and 'd'. I think the OS is on the D. Is this going to present a problem. I'd like to speed it up for her, but if I screw up her laptop, it will not end well for me.
Thank you so much for watching sir, the first thing you need do make backup of the old HDD. The replace the old HDD with new SSD, you need to install new windows on SSD by the way. Now all the files in the HHD will remain same, you can use a external HDD case to make that old HDD an external HDD or you can use a HDD caddy to use that HDD as a secondary data HDD. i want to clone the HHD in to the SSD and have that be my main driver. So
Question 1: should i leave the HHD in its original place and put the SSD in where the cd player is with a caddy. Or vice versa? Does it matter?
Question 2: if i do put the ssd where hhd is and the hhd where cd player is with a caddy, can i just fresh install windows from the recovery key i have for my laptop? I dont care about whats on the HHD. So instead of cloning it then doing a system reset and delete everything can i just do a system restore from the usb key ?
Does the data we have on our computer get deleted after installing the ssd?
Data isn’t stored in computer.It is stored in your hdd.As the hdd is removed to install the ssd,you’re no longer able to access your data in that computer.But they are still stored safely in your hdd.

I installed that ssd în a pc and it is purely plastic, it can't be metal. If it was metal it would short the motherboard
Mine is metal , but its coated with some kind of paint or some thing like that. I have 2 more SSD brands, WD and Sandisk those are plastic 🙂

Yes you can do it, intall windows then download drivers from your laptop's website. Type your laptop's model on google then open the official website, goto driver and support section there you will find the drives.

Yes it will be lost, unless you use a SATA to USB cable and transfer everything from the hard-disk to the ssd

I am having problem installing Windows 10 in Crucial BX500 240GB SSD , Is it necessary to boot in UEFI ? Because my BIOS is not showing option to switch between UEFI and LEGACY? In System information it is showing that my laptop is having LEGACY BOOT.
Installation starts but after installing when it restarts, it does not boot. And the error comes "Boot device Missing" .In boot option selected SSD as boot device but still not booting.
While running hard disk test it is showing (301) error.
What to do. Please tell.

You have DDR3 Laptop, that means your laptop have SATA HDD. Then yes you can install a SSD to your laptop, because SSD are also same SATA slots
