It depends on how many slots you have. For example, my computer has an additional slot for my Solid State Drive. So, my OS is now running on my SSD, and my hard disk will be used for storage space. But well, you'll need to reinstall Windows on the SSD.
This question is very subjective. I am a fan of having lots of space if I will use it? No specific size is better than another without taking the user into account.

You Need to Know Pentium and Celeron are both outdated. You are gonna need more ram than 4gb and possibly more storage on SSDs. However, it will be enough for Microsoft office and the internet, provided you have a WiFi card.

Probably not in the Laptop because you wont have anywhere to put it. You can however put the SSD in the laptop and get an enclosure for the HDD and use it as an external drive.
