    I have it on Series X, but was thinking of getting it on my Steam Deck as well. Glad to see it’s well optimized for the Deck’s hardware. It looks great and seems to play with console like quality as well. That’s not bad for a handheld PC.

    Generally, when the game includes FSR 2.0 I wouldn't recommend using the Steam Deck's built in version of FSR which is based on 1.0. It's image quality is substantially lower. It also isn't affected by the same issue as FSR 1.0 where you have to set a custom non-native resolution.

      dont worry the hardware is capable to stop itself incase of dangerous temperatures so experiment with your deck, plus almost everything in your steam deck is swappable so getting a new fan installed incase of failure should be no problem

    • @Spolt_main
      @Spolt_main Год назад +3

    there are some work arounds and using proton GE 7-50 and FSR 2 with those two turned off i got my game looking like a painting while maintaining 45 frames in the village. its pretty insane. with one hilarious drawback. almost all of leons costumes have this funny hair bouncing glitch that kills immersion but for some reason the edgelord costume doesnt altho the feathers can be a tab bit finnicky. but his hair looks way better its so weird

      And the deck also had a feature where you can enable it to run the fan only when the temperature is getting hot therefore eliminating the fan unless it’s needed. Very useful feature.

    You aren't using fsr correctly in the 720p resolution segment. FSR doesn't work if you set the game to 720p. There is an upper limit for fsr unless displaying to an external monitor. So all you did was set it to 720p and turn on fsr, which the Steam deck ignored completely.

    • @Nicktechnoo
      @Nicktechnoo  Год назад +4

      If that is true, how come the image becomes MUCH more clear with FSR enabled vs off? Is their proof to this claim? Because if you do some research on FSR it most certainly upscales 720p resolution to 1080p quality on the steam deck....

    • @HeceduHM
      @HeceduHM Год назад +4

      @@Nicktechnoo I think you may be wrong on this one, because 720p and 800p are both native resolutions for the deck.
      FSR only kicks off at non native resolutions as it's made for upscaling lower resolutions to fit what your active monitor offers (this is different on a full hd monitor for example where it does kick off at 720p and 800p because those resolutions are non native to the monitor).
      Non native resolutions for FSR are those that do NOT cover the full width AND full height of the active monitor.
      If FSR activated at 720 you would notice it because as an upscaling algorithm it would stretch the image to fit the full height of the screen (this does not happen in the video, you still have black bars on the top and bottom) and nobody would like that.
      You are right that FSR enhances the image sharpness/clarity but this only happens on those non native I described above.
      Let me see if I can find a link to back my claims and post it later, good video thought!

      @@HeceduHM ok so red dead 2 is 800p yet with the decks fsr you can see the difference on my 55inch 4k tv...same with metal gear solid 5 at 900p....on a smaller screen you may not notice, but on bigger monitors.... let the screen stay still and play with the fsr....even bloodstained at 1080p...still displayed a miniscule amount of scaling.
