I'm so stoked to play this! I have a lot of great memories playing the original when I was a teenager, I can't wait to play this with my daughter later this year!
Bro, I am so glad they are adding additional and more in depth side quests. I am currently replaying the 2005 version, and many people do not know this, but in the original game, if you have cleared a certain area, but then return to that same area, the enemies not only respawn, but they become beefed up and some surprises show up as well, such as mutated Wolves, that I found and have never seen before after killing the Del Lago and returning to that one path after killing the El Gigante. I surely hope they do this trend as well, to make the game even more challenging, and it can give the Pro gamers more additional challenges as well as more opportunity for more specialty weapons and bonus stuff, so hope they add that in the remake too. Cool video bro!
That bolt thrower seems a lot like the agony crossbow from TEW. Especially with it having a standard bolt and explosive. Maybe it will have some of the other variant bolts too?
Luis Sera being a full potential companion could be a promising solo DLC story mode, just like how they used to do it back then with Ada or even with Hunk's short but challenging run solo - and I'd love to see a chance for that~
Ashley: The original game gripes about here so incredibly overstated. It was a short section of the game and was never that hard. Knife: My concern is, does it lose durability when you use it to break boxes. I mean, that is essentially all it was really for in the original game. It was ineffectual as a weapon. I'll take an ineffectual weapon over one that is effective but breaks because I didn't want to waste a bull to get into a box or to avoid being bitten by a snake. I can't wait for this game. RE4 is one of my favorites, I have played it a bunch of times, including on the PC using the community HD texture packs.
Is it weird of me to be interested in this game because it feels tactical? Like it feels immersive in the sense that you actually need to be thoughtful with your ammo, precise, and proceed with caution. I like that. The settings also seem cool.
Yo, if you discard all your items before entering the main village fight in the demo and look for one of two well entrances you can get the TMP. Good luck
I remember my late brother playing re4 on the Wii while I enjoy watching him with both of us on the couch. It was such a fun time and I get excited every time he plays it. This remake certainly makes me very happy because I'm thankful for the time we spent together on the classic re4
Honestly after playing the very short demo, just the changes made to the environment is enough to consider the remake, it is stunning and dense. I haven't played the O.G since my time on the ps2, but it made me feel the tension my young mind felt playing it at the time.
You can also see Leon using a Crossbow to shoot exploding projectiles at 7:06, I'm guessing that's the Bolt Thrower and it probably works the same as the Mine Thrower, just actually useful unlike the original re4 weapon
I’m so excited it’s my birthday next week and I’m preordering this game on that day, I got the original on my birthday after it came out and it’s always been my favorite as far as changing the formula in a game and my top 3 for all resident evils
Honestly was sooo surprised how it still felt the same yet changed so much. First off RIP to the doggo they did him dirty and the parry with the knife is just Sickkkk!! Like how they turned the aggression up on zombies and they have different and surprising attacks. Cant count how many times ive been speared with a pitchfork lol
i love every details in the game, and one of the best game of all time❤❤❤ running the 10th playtrough today on proffesional dificulty. loovveeee it so much.
You never mentioned the new phone call system. In original, the game paused and popped up a screen to show phone conversations. In the Remake, phone calls play in real-time with a window appearing at the bottom of the screen. There’s still some calls in cutscenes, but I love this change
I never thought Ashley was annoying or difficult to deal with in the original. You could pretty much hide her in almost every section in the game where she's present.
I thought this as well. My biggest gripe with Ashley was the fact that she refused to climb down a fricking ladder! Like cmon your life is on the line get down here!!
Enjoyed the video. I would say the knife played a much bigger role in the original than it is mentioned here; it's more than a utility for deflecting and breaking boxes. RE4's enemies have AI designed to make the game about positioning and tactics. The enemies tend to slowdown after rushing in, drawing the focus to lining up tactical shots and combos using actions like the roundhouse kick after downing an enemy from a well placed bullet to the leg. Since the hitbox is so large on the roundhouse, it will also down the surrounding enemies who can then be sliced with the knife, which also has a big hitbox. The design of the game has you changing weapons in the paused equipment menu and remaining stationary while aiming/firing, encouraging a relatively slower and more tactical approach to engagements. I thought village was a little bit like this, but still less focused and more generalized in its approach to combat engagements. I enjoy the flow in resident evil 4 og, its such an innovative game that holds up due to its solid mechanics being so well integrated with the story and overall presentation.
I dont really get why alot of peoples hate Qte And the walk segments in games. For the former,I feel like they add alot of stress to the play, like if you miss one button you gonna screw a fight or something, Not overdoing it but when its well done its good. And for the latter i think it makes the game more realistic and kinda gives you a break from running and shooting.... Unless you have adhd of course and wanna smash every button from start to finish
This remake looks a lot more impactful than the Dead Space remake, so hopefully it'll keep my attention all the way. RE4 is probably one of my most replayed games.
So excited for this one! Re4 is hands down my favorite re game of all time. This remake looks like it's gonna be what I remember but fit for modern day gaming. That's far and away awesome. I'm fresh off the re2 and 3 remakes and those were impressive so let's go capcom! Remake the first one next and make the re 4 collector's edition available so I can throw my money at you!
On my perspective, getting rid of Ashley's health bar kind a break the point of protecting and saving her. If there's a mode that could gave her a health bar, like if it's in professional mode, it's good then.
@@sixseven404 you do, some guy leaked bits of gameplay and there was the scene of Ashley getting taken away, a lot more heart wrenching than the OG, but won't spoil don't worry
Just wanna show some love to Falcon as he has grown into the role over the years despite the way some used to be negative about his presentations early days. You're actually quite lighthearted funny and that Zelda pun had me laughing and not the first time you put these nice lil jokes in your videos. Keep it up please!!!! ❤️
I'm one of the few people who love qte sections makes the game harder and helps with memory. And reflex coordination. And taking away the Ashley hiding mechanics take away the immersion that makes re4 great.
I’ve been playing the demo non stop since it came out. Every time learning/seeing something new that the devs have done. Also getting the controls and enemy movements down for launch in 10 days
I think capcom is hitting the perfect in-between of being new for gamers that dont know or havent played the game, and being just nostalgic enough that those that have played the original will come back.
I'm one that won't be coming back since the original still holds up & the changes they're making for this money grab is not worth it in my eyes. Maybe a remake of RE5 I might get but I'm not the type to buy remakes. I still regularly play the original RE4 on PC. Not to say "don't buy it" because we all get to choose for ourselves, maybe I'm just too old to be excited about a polished up old brass watch when I already have a brass watch.
I love the storage because like RE5 I want to buy and upgrade everything, and be able to play with anything immediately If you play enough rounds you have the money to basically do that in the original, but this will be better
The original RE4 came out during my gaming MIA phase because I was in high school and wanted to chase girls and be out of the house as much as possible, so this remake is a fresh experience for me. I loved the Dead Space remake and this looks just as good. Capcom is firing on all cylinders lately
No regrets, I did the same thing and now I’m back into gaming heavy and I can actually afford games and everything I want. Just to clarify, I was not successful in chasing girls
@@DillyBar_666 lmao ditto on the girls man. Yeah it’s so funny feeling like gaming literally grew up with me, and now they have dramatic amazing stories and are better than ever. It’s nice being an adult and being able to afford more than one game per year. I just got the PSVR2 as well. Love it

One thing i don’t like is a knife that breaks just give me a knife i can use the whole game plus its hard to break a 🤬 knife in two pieces. Still the beginning part with the chainsaw guy is probably one of the most intense parts of the game. And honestly I don’t think headshots matter body shots seems to do the same amount of damage. Still very pumped for the game definitely one of my most anticipated games of this year. I bought a GameCube for 4 when it came out.
Its just fun to see Capcom seemingly giving RE 4 the Remake it deserves before playing it i cant say how the end product is but the demo was solid i like how it feels. If they Realy improve on RE 4 one of the best games i played we have a realy big game of the Year contender even if its a remake.... I mean they did it with RE 2 (wich was easier since RE 2 was an old and cringy gameXD not in a bad way) and while they didnt quit make it with RE3 i to this day think they used RE8 as Proving ground for their engine for RE 4 R.
I'm HOPING they keep the regenerators or amp them a bit (creepiness value) I remember that iconic scene..and hearing the breathing. It TERRIFIED me. So def looking forward to the game release ❤️
Resident Evil 4 is in my Top 3 games of all time and I’ve beaten it more than 12 times.
It can shoot mine arrows, so it replaces the Mine Thrower from the original.
@@harlannguyen4048 I still hope it has more bolt types than just those two personally. It would make it quite a versatile tool.
The merchant is no longer "What're ya buyin'? Or What're ya sellin'? "
RE4 is the only game I beat multiple times in succession. It took over one of my summers as a kid. I cannot wait for the remake.
👌👍🏼
I watched my friend play through a lot of RE4, but this will be my first playthrough of the story. Hyped
👌👍🏼
I’m so hype for this game it looks too good
I'm so stoked on this! Can we get a Jake segment on re4 and other re stuff

That’s how I felt with tlou pt. 2 on grounded.
I have never been this excited for a game to come out!
I CANNOT wait this game was my entire childhood
👌
@@gameranxTV basically all games from 1990s to 2000s are also my childhoods.
Yo, if you discard all your items before entering the main village fight in the demo and look for one of two well entrances you can get the TMP. Good luck
I am stoked for this so much. I loved the original and this looks like took any idea I had to make it better and implemented it. I can't wait.
I’m in love with this game. Part of me wants to wait to buy it while i play threw the whitchjer 3 and HL but i cant resist I need this game
I remember my late brother playing re4 on the Wii while I enjoy watching him with both of us on the couch. It was such a fun time and I get excited every time he plays it. This remake certainly makes me very happy because I'm thankful for the time we spent together on the classic re4
I loved the Original, but the changes they are making to me from what I see in the vid here all look like good changes, thanks for the video on it!!
Honestly after playing the very short demo, just the changes made to the environment is enough to consider the remake, it is stunning and dense.
I haven't played the O.G since my time on the ps2, but it made me feel the tension my young mind felt playing it at the time.
This and The Dead Space remake, proves, that not all remakes are bad.
We all have our different views on things and I see this is a bad remake.
You can also see Leon using a Crossbow to shoot exploding projectiles at 7:06, I'm guessing that's the Bolt Thrower and it probably works the same as the Mine Thrower, just actually useful unlike the original re4 weapon
Before: Base Leon
After: Super Saiyan Leon
I’m so excited it’s my birthday next week and I’m preordering this game on that day, I got the original on my birthday after it came out and it’s always been my favorite as far as changing the formula in a game and my top 3 for all resident evils
My favorite Resident Evil game!! Definitely can't wait for the remake. 💯🔥👀🤯
👍🏼
RE4 was one of the games I mastered as a kid. Along with Kingdom Hearts and Halo 3. Stoked for this.
I hope after we beat the game there's a setting for old Ashley just so I can hear LEONNN HELPPPP
😅
Honestly was sooo surprised how it still felt the same yet changed so much. First off RIP to the doggo they did him dirty and the parry with the knife is just Sickkkk!! Like how they turned the aggression up on zombies and they have different and surprising attacks. Cant count how many times ive been speared with a pitchfork lol
The dog's not dead, actually. It's a different dog.
I'm so excited for this and seeing all the upgrades and differences in it. 🖤
👌
i love every details in the game, and one of the best game of all time❤❤❤ running the 10th playtrough today on proffesional dificulty. loovveeee it so much.
The biggest change is that you'll be covering and reviewing this game 😁
😅🤝
I dont really get why alot of peoples hate
Qte
And the walk segments in games.
For the former,I feel like they add alot of stress to the play, like if you miss one button you gonna screw a fight or something,
Not overdoing it but when its well done its good.
And for the latter i think it makes the game more realistic and kinda gives you a break from running and shooting....
Unless you have adhd of course and wanna smash every button from start to finish
I don't usually mind QTE's, but that boss fight in the ruins was not fun at all in the original. And the knife fight looks really great in this remake
@@sixseven404 what we call a remake done well i guess
2:05 knives worked like that in the original trilogy. They were defensive weapons u equipped and used to counter a grab
This remake looks a lot more impactful than the Dead Space remake, so hopefully it'll keep my attention all the way. RE4 is probably one of my most replayed games.
🤞
So excited for this one! Re4 is hands down my favorite re game of all time. This remake looks like it's gonna be what I remember but fit for modern day gaming. That's far and away awesome. I'm fresh off the re2 and 3 remakes and those were impressive so let's go capcom! Remake the first one next and make the re 4 collector's edition available so I can throw my money at you!
On my perspective, getting rid of Ashley's health bar kind a break the point of protecting and saving her. If there's a mode that could gave her a health bar, like if it's in professional mode, it's good then.
I'm assuming she can still be kidnapped like in the original. If they grab her and move to far away with her you get a game over.
She still takes damage
@@sixseven404 you do, some guy leaked bits of gameplay and there was the scene of Ashley getting taken away, a lot more heart wrenching than the OG, but won't spoil don't worry
“What are ya buyin’ stranger?”
“This. This at the end of the month.”
Original was one of the best games I ever played.
And I loved everything about it.
Not sure if they can out do it, but this made me hopeful.
Depositing Ashley in a dumpster while I frag some ganados was the best, the classic whistle to bring her back to follow mode was awesome too.
Can't wait for this game
👆🏻
Just wanna show some love to Falcon as he has grown into the role over the years despite the way some used to be negative about his presentations early days. You're actually quite lighthearted funny and that Zelda pun had me laughing and not the first time you put these nice lil jokes in your videos. Keep it up please!!!! ❤️
Capcom remakes are the gold standard 🏆
I'm one of the few people who love qte sections makes the game harder and helps with memory. And reflex coordination. And taking away the Ashley hiding mechanics take away the immersion that makes re4 great.
Any one else smell micro transactions?
Awesome dodge at 10:56
I’ve been playing the demo non stop since it came out.
You should talks about Luis Sera because he now survived until undergroud the mines and fight with two gigantes
I noticed when shooting at dr Salvador (and missing) the bullets react to shooting his chainsaw, thought that was amazing attention to detail
I love the storage because like RE5 I want to buy and upgrade everything, and be able to play with anything immediately
If you play enough rounds you have the money to basically do that in the original, but this will be better
Love it
@@drgonzo123 I used to absolutely suck at following game stories but now I’ve realized that they also weren’t nearly as captivating back then either. I know it had more to do with my age though
Definitely hyped to play this and loved what the demo provided and what Capcom ramped up. While too early to talk about a CVX Remake I'd love to see what Capcom would ramp up with that game in the future if we get that remake eventually.
Stopping a chainsaw with a knife. What’s next punching boulders
7:43 he says "Luis Sera is a major character from the original game"...literally 7 seconds later "but overall he's a pretty minor character"
The first resident evil game I played was 4 on the game cube, so this is insane for me!! so excited!! definitely playing this on launch!!! 💯💯💯
that Ninendo shout out was great!
You don't have to be at a typewriter to store guns either, u can send to storage from anywhere you are in the game at any time
Wow a 10 things video that actually informed me well and got me super hype for the remake. Falcon has the best of these videos tho
Thanks for the re4 remake insights!
👍🏼
"Boy that would be a breath of fresh air.. in a very wild Zelda game" lmaooo
lol the way luis kick that female chainsaw xD hilarious
I'm HOPING they keep the regenerators or amp them a bit (creepiness value) I remember that iconic scene..and hearing the breathing. It TERRIFIED me. So def looking forward to the game release ❤️
People are saying that every enemy is still in the game so I think we’ll be good😎
Resident Evil 4 is in my Top 3 games of all time and I’ve beaten it more than 12 times. With that being said, people who say it’s perfect and didn’t need a remake are blinded by nostalgia in my opinion. Luckily this remake seems to be making all of the cons of the original into pros, it’s looking fantastic
I'm betting luis being more important and a more expanded companion is capcoms way of testing the waters for an RE5 remake.
I'm excited to see more Luis. I really liked his character and I want more convos with the merchant. 10 more days!
I love the bolt thrower when it attached with mines it explodes
"That would be a breath of fresh air in very wild Zelda game". That just sums up why I still love gameranx videos
