Bad Endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances, you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Eggman was at his peak in sonic cd. There were these gemstones similar to the chaos emeralds called the time stones. You could use them in any zone to turn them from a normal place to a beautiful landscape! However, if you DIDN’T find them, little planet would be turned into an industrial hell. Just Mechanical madness everywhere. And remember that eggman did this to an entire planet
Your information is slightly innacurate. Sonic uses the time stones to travel to the past. He then destroys the machines that eggman put in the past. For this reason, the location gets a good future. However, if you do NOT travel to the past and fix it, it will turn to a mechanical hell because nothing but sonic using the time stones can stop eggman.
Eggmans’s peak was easily sonic adventure 2 I know that game was during the time sonic was a lot more “edgy” and serious story wise but it feels like eggman had enough of sonics shit and losing to him he held Amy at gunpoint got the best of tails and damn near won if it wasn’t for Gerald robotniks doomsday project sending the ark to crash into earth I think eggman would have won

@@Taha_A That's not true. Sonic uses the time signposts to go to the past. Then he destroys the robot generator(and metal sonic holograms), and gets the time stones in the special stages. That's how you get a good future, by getting all of the time stones or destroying the generators. Not sure if that was another form of media.
@@Taha_A and @That0neDude Actually, he uses his speed to time travel, with the points where he will allow the player to have him do so denoted by the appropriate time signs. If you don't want to be bothered with going to the past of every non-boss act to ensure a good future in that zone, collecting all the Time Stones will ensure that the good futures are created, thus netting you a good ending.
Imagine being a kid in the mid 90s getting very frustrated over the final boss, spending months trying to beat him, the you finally beat him and you are on top top of the world for a few seconds and then seeing the credits. Then you realize all that frustration was for nothing. I would sink my teeth into my 32x if that had happend to me.
The old eggman was scary compared to todays eggman
In some games, he looks doofy, but in others like this, he was serious. He just didn't have this imposing feeling unless the game designed him that way. It was so funny seeing him blow up on his mechs as a kid.
Chaotix bad ending: A whole city burning and millions die within the flames although we don't hear or see them

We need to bring this game back. I'm sure at some point nintendo will put it on the switch but it will give everyone a chance to play it. Also, we need a sonic game that uses the chaos rings again cuss this is the only game I know that has them.

From all Sonic games this is the most creepy ending and worst scenario in the series in Bad Endings category literally Metal Sonic burns down a city with the Creepy music and seeing the City and what's worse you can't fix it and the Credits with it too and this will most likely traumatiz a child

Plot twist:
Metal Sonic teamed up with Iblis later on and together they burned down the world which became Silver's future but Metal Sonic ran out off power and couldn't get fixed since Dr Robotnik is burned and dead. (×_×)

Not a sad thing, not a "sacrifice" of some sort of friend that screams "just replay and save him" but just a simple image, that's powerful enough to make you replay to get the good ending

Well, Metal does have some really good themes.
Dang, Chaotix was such an underrated game. The mechanics with the Combi Rings weren't liked by most players, and like mentioned on the video, it didn't help that it was on a pretty much doomed console, the 32x.
Still, the graphics were so colorful, even more than the Genesis's. It wasn't that big of a difference, but for those players who cares, it was a large difference. The soundtrack was awesome, too. Honestly, I loved the game. One of Sega's underrated gems, definitely.
...Ahem, despite that bad ending being really creepy for Sonic standards, I just loved that Metal Sonic final form burning down that city. Call me sadistic or anything, but it just looks badass.

I suppose that'd be the case. They took the team mechanics and redone them just fantastically well on Heroes and eventually Advance 3 as well.
The tutorial levels were fun in the same way Goat Simulator was fun. Mostly due to the crazy physics system.
It looks more like Metal is spilling orange ish red water on the town. But if it was a modern game, then it will look like Metal is burning the town

Willowshade Warrior-Cat What? Tiny little old blue Metal Sonic? He's not scary. Now Titan Metal Sonic, the giant red guy you are most likely talking about, yeah no, he's fucking scary as hell. But no Metal Sonic Kai is not the terrifying form. Kai just means revised, which makes sense as he is in a new rebuilt body, or also can mean world or world king, so World King Metal Sonic could also mean that. At least that's what I've found. Whether that is right, I don't know.
By the way, a little more on the story:
Eggman(not Robotnik, as he was never Robotnik in Japan(though I use Robotnik for Archie continuity)) found a ring on the newly uncovered Island, with information inscribed on it. After further research on the island, he found a Special Ring, once used by the Knuckles Clan, and resembles a Super/Giant Ring, often used to access special stages. The ring resonated with the Pillar(SA(DX) Master Emerald Shrine, and is the original shrine, with Hidden Palace being a secure emergency location) and created the Chaos Rings. The six rings are used by Robotnik and studied, where he created Dark RIngs to fuel his Badniks(which appear when the badnik is destroyed, but quickly dissapate into dis-existence). After Metal Sonic Kai is beaten, he uses the Special Ring to create the monstrous Titan Metal Sonic. WHo destroys everything if you don't have the Chaos Rings.

Here's what I thought would have happened.
No Chaos Rings: Similar to this game's bad ending.
1-5 C. Rings: Robotnik failed to get the rings to their maximum power, and the battle rages on.
All 6: You manage to stop robotnik after the final battle somehow.
That Chaotix to 3 Sega logo transition was perfect.
Chaotix actually had some really memorable tracks like one from scenario select and even bad ending is a good tune

I wish that Knuckles Chaotix would at least get a relese on some sort of collection pack. It doesn't look as bad as what some people say about it.
Apparently it was going be apart of the Sonic Gems Collection, but they didn't end up adding it since it was too difficult to emulate the 32X's hardware.
It's not bad. It's just really monotonous. The graphics and music are superb and that's what it has going for. The level design is bland. Overall not a bad game, I don't even mind having a tethered partner,
When You get the Bad ending... Remember the Sonic Movie, when it had that Metal Robotnik Thing, and a BURNT CITY.

Thanks for making this video. I remember watching my brother play this game and he got the bad ending. Due to us being really young, it really scared us.
Rather than let it discourage him though, it motivated him to playthrough the game a couple more times to finally get the good ending.

I managed to finish Knuckles' Chaotix and I got the bad ending. However, that didn't upset me and I was satisfied that I beat the game in a way.

That's a fan-made rom hack, in fact Genocide City didn't have any music. (and also no, it wasn't supposed to be a city of corpses but instead the third act of metropolis with different graphics)

tough you'd get a good ending either way, Marx soul and Magolor soul let out disturbing and creepy death screams. Marx soul flat out ear rapes you, but Magolor soul screamed out Kirby twice. the second time more distorted than the other. i sort of just came up with that.

Agreed, I think most static image endings are likely the result of a tight deadline to push the game onto shelves forcing the developers to be like "fuck it, just put some random picture of the heroes with the credits and get it in stores already"

I was looking for this. Also, I think the bad ending is better than the good one. At least you get something out of it. If I were to improve the good ending, I'd have a Mega man style ending, with each of the Chaotix members walking away from the burning ash-covered rubble from what used to be Super Metal Sonic while a remix of the title screen music plays.

Hooray for our debut of team chaotix though i love them especially in the events of sonic heros which is one of the games the anime sonic X loosely follows and they're utterly hilarious in both that and espio is just so cool he and shadow both i arguably like MORE than sonic and the original crew

In sonic 4 little planet is normal but it still has stardust speedway bad future for some reason... my theory is that stardust speedway is stuck in some sort of time loop that won't let the future change there, but for all the other acts, the future did change since sonic destroyed all the bakniks in the other acts, but he didn't completely destroy metal sonic, only severely damaging him. So what do you think about this theory? Is it good I would love some sort of feed back.
