Creepy Bad Endings # 63

- Bad endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances; you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Creepy Bad Endings # 64: ruclips.net/video/mpqDbclKA-Y/видео.html
God, the thought of Fox stranded in some horrifying dimension until the end of his life with no one left to keep the worst from happening makes my skin crawl.
Salt, are you okay dude?
Ikr
Fox: I'm starving, dehydrated, i can't feel my arms anymore, i feel myself going insane, hearing the same music over and over, seeing the same unnerving faces over and over, i get no sleep, is this real? am i awake? am i in a dream? god help me please, i will probably die soon, only to come back to this hell dimension. Again. Nobody should ever suffer such a fate as this.
One theory I've read was that Fox's windows break after crashing into the bird, leaking out breathable air, causing him to hallucinate and drift off in space until he dies.
Bystander WHAT
Why would Pepper contact him then ? But yeah it makes it even more creepy.
DarkOrderSolDjango I guess his subconscious stays alive
So... creepy bird is stronger than wall/pillar/ANYTHING ELSE?
He might have passed out, and regained consciousness some time later when Pepper sent him the message asking where he was. Which is why he appears further away on the map.
I hate those endless game over screens, they are really vague...
They were a product of their generation. I don't mind them myself.
The tamest one I know is the Kirby's Adventure one. It shows the Fountain of Dreams and a sign saying "THE END." The ability box has a hand waving bye-bye.
@@avi8aviate When I get there on the emulated version on the Kirby's Dream Collection disc, pressing any button sends me back to the title screen. I have no idea if that was added in Dream Collection, Virtual Console, or was always in Kirby's Adventure. If you can still play the game, finish off Nightmare and try it once you get to that screen.
@@duscarasheddinn8033 Alright, I'll try it. I have the Wii Virtual Console version.
Is there another game like this
I wonder if 'hatching the asteroid' and 'entering the bird' are Lylat colloquialisms for a bad acid trip.

Exactly what it is
"Broooo andross dead!"
"Wait fr?"
"Yeahh dude, fox done killed him!"
"Brooo should we celebrate?"
"Yeah bro let's hatch the asteroid!"
"Hell yeahhhh!"
Sometimes when there's an ending where you HAVE to reset. It makes me feel like I didn't finish the game and the big bad is still out there causing havoc.
The silence makes it all the worse.
Exactly. As long as there's even the smallest recognition of finishing the game, like a star next to the save file or something, then I'm happy. In the case of Final Fantasy, when the theme starts playing, it becomes sad; it gives me the impression that the game's universe has ended because all that remains is the end screen and the music, and the only thing left to do is to extinguish the final ember of what is left of by turning the console off.
I'm glad most games these days don't do this, or some cases, even add the post-game where the ultimate evil is no longer around.
Oh jesus christ they're totally gonna do that with Kingdom Hearts III aren't they.
whoisthisgit Ikr
Keeby *clears throat*

Worse: when after you complete it, you have to reset it and they dont save the file witb the game completed and the file is in the final part of the game forever.
Imagine if Out of this dimension was an alternate route where Fox finds his father, and they find a way out to defeat Andross together.
Vasili Apa hmmmm probably
but the question is
theyre stuck in another dimension fighting and defeat andross
but whats the point if they cant return home?
You are a genius. You should write a story about that!

I want to know what happens when all your teammates are dead and you beat the game. I'm going to guess that Fox says "All ships report in." and just silence.
Fox: all ships report in! Oh wait *looks at camera*
That's exactly what happens.
"All ships check in!!"
**SILENCE**
All ships check in!
Fox: Right behind ya, fox!
Fox: I’m here, fox!
Fox: At the rear, fox!
Nah, probably nothing much.
I did that once (you know, for science...). Nothing different happens: when you destroy Andross, Fox's Arwing is the only one on sight during the following cutscenes. I tried this a very long time ago (20th century, I think) but if I remember correctly, Fox is the only voice you hear when leaving Andross' fortress. And that's it, the ending is exactly the same i every other way.
That box art is traumatic. "Cute and cuddly animals"? hahaha
Realistic fox scared me O.o
Clearly, these things just want to suck my soul
That's kinda harsh, there just puppets
What if instead of good luck. They said good bye at the out of dimension stage?
Let's thank god the boss is a slot machine, something only won by LUCK.
That would be hilarious.
Dejin Oda 7:10 Listen, they say "Good bye"
@@DiegoG2004 I think that further proves fox is a goner
@@DiegoG2004 That's the same 'good luck' sound clip played at the start of every level.
I can't stop laughing when you said "these beloved characters (and Slippy)"
Forget the Lylat System, there's every chance that the other members of the Star Fox team somehow pulled the job off on their own. Fox is the doomed one here.
Fox is doomed to just fly forever, in a timeless dimension until he's either shot down or runs out of fuel.
Heck, you'd think losing Peppy or one of the others would be a bad enough ending on its own.
But no, they decided to create something that resembles an acid trip, with the only cure to your eyes being to win a jackpot on a floating slot machine.
OH LORDY LOU!!! And also, I'm glad you pointed out the fact that Falco, Slippy, and Peppy could possibly save the Lylat system on their own while Fox is permanently trapped in another dimension.
All these beloved characters... and Slippy.
Thank you, Git.
For those of you promoting the "Hallucination" theory, the official Japanese strategy guide says otherwise:
"Sergeant Desslar Coba (デスラ・コバー軍曹), in an Arwing converted as an "M Scouter", reported seeing an unknown bird-like alien with huge wings deep within the Asteroid Belt. When Desslar Coba thought it would be intriguing to take a closer inspection, his transmission cut off abruptly as he felt a warping sensation and was never heard from again. It was deemed dangerous to approach any lifeforms matching that description. "

So that thing *is* a celestial god-like entity! It's like angering the smoky progg, but instead of a boss it just chucks you into an eternal purgatory out of spite.

I was waiting for the normal ending, but Fox alone.

Carlos de la cruz you are faboulus
ONLY LASERS AND SHINES
It's so weird seeing anybody talk about the original SNES Star Fox, everyone's focus is always either on 2, 64, or Assault. I kinda wish later games had levels like Out of this Dimension, it'd be less aggravating since you could actually save and not have to restart the entire game. As much as everyone hates Command, it also had some endings that made you feel pretty terrible as well, but I don't think anything compares to "Corneria fell". That one is almost always entirely your fault for letting it happen, and the game makes sure you know that
Hugo Hikari Who talks about Assault?
I thought Assault was the only Star Fox game past 64 that was decently received, that's why I included it in there. I know people definitely don't hate it as much as Adventures, Command, or Zero, at least
Hugo Hikari why do people even hate command, it s probably my favourite DS game along with Metroid Prime Hunters and Mystery Dungeon Exploration Team
+Louis Donckel i'm pretty sure it's because of all the drama with krystal and fox's relationship, plus i know a lot of people hated the story. i don't think the gameplay was very well received either, but i can't really say because i've never played the game myself
Hugo Hikari the story and the multiple endings made me wanna replay the game so many times, and I think the gameplay was still fun, it just wasnt your regular Star Fox *flying forward in one line* , but more just *killing enemys in a certain area* (so basically perma combat mode from Lylyat wars).
If the thing people are bothered by is the whole *map, turns and mothership* thing however, I think it s just a case of "fans never beeing satisfied" , since everyone is complaining how star fox 2 was never released and how much they wanna play it, even though it had a very similar gameplay concept as Command.
Hey Git! You should play Star Fox 2 and review that creepy bad ending next. Basically, Fox can let Corneria fall and that in itself is a bad ending. Granted, it could be considered a game over but I would think that is still an acceptation.
Lord of The Emeralds and just like the first game, if your characters die, they are gone for good. I think corneria can fall in two ways.
No, the game considers it as “Corneria Fell’.
yes
The only time I've played Star Fox,Was on that one boss minigame of WarioWare smooth moves
No way!!! Me, too
I still love that level. I remember that giant ROB giving me so much trouble.
Same
^^^
For me it was the secret boss of kirby 64
Also when fox dies its just for a second. when those beloved characters and slippy die its for the whole game
Endings where you need to turn off the console are a little scary, it's like the game has taken control of your console and the characters are breaking the 4th wall in a creepy way.
Is it weird that I'm kinda curious what Fox's dialogue would be if everyone in the crew died except for him?
It goes kinda like:
"All ships check in!!"
**SILENCE**
Fsilone dang...
Whenever you have to reset your system because of a Game Over screen, it really stresses " You failed, and now the only way to start again is to start all over!"
silence wench
What if you
Wanted to go to stage 4
But Miyamoto said
*_OUT OF THIS DIMENSION_*
I find it to be more like a cool easter egg than a Creepy bad ending tbh
It is. It's a secret minigame.
The one creepy thing about the “out of this dimension” level is you get lost and stuck there forever with no way back or just dying
I actually have some respect for Slippy because he is smart and is a genius inventor. The problem though is because he is a technician he has no experience in air based combat so he ends up always getting in trouble. I don't know what Fox was thinking having Slippy actually be a wingman. He is a technician not an air fighter. That's like having a school janitor operating a locomotive.
"To see such beloved characters... and Slippy, kick the bucket is seriously depressing." That line got me lol
Imagine the ending if none of your team is alive
Fox: All ships, check in!
Fox: Right here, fox!
Fox: At the rear, fox!
Fox: I’m here, fox!
Fox: All ships, check in!
Fox: Right here, fox!
Fox: At the rear, fox!
Fox: I’m here, fox
Fox: Hey fox i'm wolf and i'm a big bad guy!!
Fox: Oh no! i will beat you! *punch*
Fox: oh noo i'm dead! you're so great and amazing fox, too much for me!
Fox: i know! i'm amazing!....
*silence*
Fox: Why couldn't i join you dad?
“These beloved characters and slippy”
haha
See kids, THIS is why you don't do drugs.
There's also the game over cutscene from the unreleased Star Fox 2, which actually shows Andross destroying Corneria if you fail to protect it.
That ones actually a special game over- you have to let enemies attack corneria until it reaches 0% health. If your ships are destroyed, the cutscene doesn't play and its just a regular game over.
Back in the day I remember doing a run where I let all the wing-men die just to see how the final team-check would play out. I only did it once.
Fox already witnessed his team falling. He knew he stood alone before even facing Andross. His futile team check feels like he's having a mental break. The battle is won; all that is left is to go home and celebrate with his team... oh... right... It's OK Fox, I'm sure there was nothing you could have done... right?
"I won, but at what cost?"
When I played this, I discovered the meaning behind the stage...
A pilot that is suffering from PTSD...
cool
That actually makes a lot of sense... wow!
Have you heard of the unrealesed star fox2?
That game has several creepy game overs. The one that gets me is when fox and the others fail to protect corneria.
Pretty sure everyone who keeps up with this sorta stuff knows about Star Fox 2. TBH, it's my favorite SNES game lol
Sato I didn't, but I don't keep up with this stuff
One other thing, you can only have two characters on there, and just like the first game if one dies he or she is gone for good. Corneria can also fall in two ways.
It's out for snes classic
Yeah, losing your main mission would hurt a lot.
My Friends And Slippy!
Anyway, yeah, the mere idea of the Out Of This Dimension level is just scary.
"To see these beloved characters and Slippy..."
That was harsh.
Honestly the out of this dimension stage would make for a perfect creepypasta
Now I think all over again how crazy it was when I was a kid to see an SNES game look this legit. Yeah it was polygons, but still for its time and system it was a technical marvel at the time.

Oh my god! Peppy's death screech is terrifying. It's like he screams in pain then causally is like "I'm dead." before exploding. I never noticed that before because I'm usually really good at protect my people, so I haven't seen any of them die since I was a kid.
Yeah remember when Andross shot sandwiches at you? Good times.
Also yeah Fox is stuck in another dimension. He keeps dying and dying.
The others in the Star Fox crew try to defeat andross but cannot.
Also before the level, instead of good luck, I hear goodbye.
I here both good luck and good bye
"These beloved characters and slippy"
*_ouch_*
I've also always hated the endless "The End" screens, I wonder why they were ever made in the first place.
Because if they just say they were stuck there forever, not being able to complete the mission, it would lose the impact; by making you experience it, you are also trapped into the hellscape until you die or restart (which absolutely ends with their deaths as well). You have to experience it with the characters for it to take full effect.
2:11 "To see these beloved characters... and Slippy"

I’m so happy that the Secret Boss was just a Slot Machine, because after entering “Out of this Dimension” I thought that there was going to be something far creepier.

When you shoot an asteroid and it hatches a bird that sends you into another dimension with slot machines and creepy face planets. . . What?
I like that you make us keep wondering what will happen next when you suddenly put questions up for a few seconds.
It makes us wonder what in the world would happen next, building up suspense, and making us feel a bit more spooked.
You know? I have a theory on this.
Fox is young and cute!
But something is wrong....
#1 He has never slept. Making him hallucinate with the drugs pilots take.
#2 Stress for the up coming battles with
Also the slot machine maybe is him gambling to lose his stress..
Also him hitting the 2nd meteor and flying into the bird is him hallucinating.
This "Out of this Dimension" level is pretty weird.

have countless hours on n64 and snes .. and ur speaking it for everyone else what was on our minds thank u so much for it
I knew it was finna be Out Of This Dimension soon as I saw the thumbnail.
Thumbnail is creepy
The true Villain was Gamblin' Addiction all along!
If I accidently found that secret as a kid that would of freaked me the hell out.
At 9:55 I got an example of this when I finished earthbound I was just waiting there then I turned it off
The real creepy ending is how bad Nintendo screwed over Argonaut Software by stealing their ideas and programming for Star Fox 64.
Nintendo was evil
Agustin Leguiza no nintendo IS EVIL
Ernesto Silva Right
nintendo also dont like youtube and fan game
I hate how they send out C&Ds to fan games that are clearly protected under the Fair Use Act, as well as auto-claim the shit out of videos that feature even just 5 seconds of Nintendo game footage. ¬_¬
10:13 Is no-one gonna acknowledge how they remixed ‘When the Saints Go Marching in’ in this game? XD
The vaporwave dimension just turned into a neckbeard nightmare
The explenation is that fox took a drug to stay awake during the mission and he was hallucinating the reason why no one warns you, you chase it then your crew fight andross but they all die , when you defeat the level you cant escape becuase your lost in outer space
It's the bleakness of Star Fox (SNES) that made it what it was. Star Fox 64 had it too; but later games were too 'happy'
Some of the creepy bad ending vids scare the living daylight outta me, and i keep telling myself, don't watch another of those videos, but your videos have a certain charm to em, it makes me watch them, even if i don't want to.
Edit: That was really long.
This is definitely the most messed up thing in all of SF canon.
The level 3 asteroid belt alternate reality level is a little known secret, such as the black hole.
I think I saw on the Starfox wiki that there was some sort of Nintendo Power/Strategy Guide comic where at some point later into the comics, a pilot describes an alien similar to the one seen here, goes to take a closer look, and is warped away never to be seen again.
starfox.fandom.com/wiki/Out_of_This_Dimension
Strange as ever, huh?
Watching this video again, and I just realized a bit of When The Saints Go Marching In plays as a part of the looping end screen music at 10:14. Being a fan of the St. Louis Blues for as long as this video has been up and hearing that song many many times for as many years, that was a weird experience for me lol

That's one f'd up ending.
is this one gonna talk about out of this dimension? i was just watching a vid of it yesterday
Excellent video as always, Git. This reminded me of the loop ending in R-Type Final, I bet you'd like to review that one, or the RX13-Cerberus ending in R-Type Delta.
2:14 to see these beloved characters and Slippy kick the bucket is seriously depressing...lol😭😭😭
'those beloved characters and slippy'
Now I want to see a more elaborate version of this ending and what kind of weird shit Fox see in that dimension.
My headcanon for this ending is the game is taking place in the universe of Warhammer 40k and Fox is stuck in the warp.
Plot twist: it doesn't, but the subspace rupture caused by the bird was so bad that it sent fox into 40k's warp anyway.
Fox never made it back home, he became half animal, half fossil, while he was wishing for death he was unable to die, so eventually he stopped thinking
I remember first seeing his channel when he only had like a few creepy bad endings and 1 creepy time limits, I was here before 1k I'm pretty sure
This is one of my favorite yt series
Awesome throwback!
This video really reminds me of how good the soundtrack is

Creepy thing is, in star fox Zero, there is this level (Forgot the name) kinda like Out of this dimension concept wise. In it, general Pepper said that Fox's father disappeared there.
I'm not sure,but I think it's sector omega
When I saw the thumbnail I was like, "He's doing Star Fox Command?". Then I noticed the length of the video was not even close to 1 hour. And I immediately thought it was 64, and I was still wrong. Jeez Git, you're always full of surprises.
but can this meager group of four pilots overcome an entire space army?
YES!
Trapped forever in an alternate dimension...truly a fate worse than death!
I find those kinds of endings creepy even with the silence, but when I was a kid I also didn't like the extras on dvd menus. Some animated movies had like little quiz things and it's just silence until you do something.
this used to give me nightmares
Great video git!
I thought you did a video on starfox before, y'know, that zone that takes you "Out of this dimension"
Part of the music playing during the slot machine battle is a variation on Yuki (雪,) a Japanese traditional folk song about snow. Surprised me to hear it used in such a situation...
I thought this channel was dead. it's nice to see this series again
Why do people say that so often? I thought I made videos on a regular basis.
Apparently "a few days of inactivity" is considered a channel being dead. lol
Also I find the thumbnail creepy but I guess it is cbe so...
