- Bad endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances, you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Myabe that's the true sinister story behind SOR2? That in SOR1 Mr. X was beat by himself and thus could become in power again? Maybe the X they beat at the end of SOR1 was another clone and real Mr.X had time machine where he travelled to the future to become in power again? Yes, sounds far fetched maybe, but why not?

Electra becoming the boss in the bad ending makes sense since that way if the people don't listen, she can whack them with her whip.
Also Whoisthisgit, can you make a video on the bad endings on Contra Hard Corps since apparentaly, there's an ending where it makes you either fight or join the villain which sounds similar to becoming the boss in Streets of Rage.
And they may actually listen obediently if they're into it ;)
What if we combined all the bad endings, and made the darkest ending imaginable; the city is devastated, and not only are our heroes dead, but the survivors will never trust nor love them, only blame them for the disaster. Or an ultimate happy ending with the heroes getting their list, Mr. X dead, and Rudra saving her sister. Elle would also get closure, and we'd have an Axel/Blaze shippy moment.
It’s also interesting that you can’t earn a totally happy ending in the game. Every ending leaves something else without closure. Rudra’s sister is only saved in one ending, for instance. Axel and Blaze only have a moment in one other ending, as well.
You just assumed that Rudra didn't go to save her sister during the chaos caused by the heroes, it is very likely that both endings happen at the same time.

Rudra, after noticing everyone going into a frenzy due to the chaos caused by the heroes, will take advantage of the disorder stealthily like a ninja and as soon as Mr. X is outta the picture she will rescue her sister (A mob starts to fall apart when their boss is gone. Perfect chance to swoop in, IMO)

There is one scenario that would make Mr.X SoR1 bad ending coherent in the context of that fangame. Having Zan as the partner.
Try to picture it.
After learning the truth about what they were developping, Zan escaped the factory with one Robo.X replica he hacked to obey his orders. No heroes in sight, they are in another route, the one with fake mr.X and Shiva. Alone, Zan do his best to take revange on Mr.X, using the replica, until realising the truth once it's too late. Robo.X never obeyed him, it simply acknowledged that the best course of action was to do what was necessarry to meet Mr.X.
Not holding back anymore, the robot win the duel.
Mr.X jokingly ask his doppleganger to "join the organization", but to his surprise, the robot refuses. Has it gone rogue? Better destroy it than taking the risk of it to go on a blind rampage that would only get in the way. The final battle, crossfire hitting baddies left and right, a true carnage!
In the end, only one Mr.X stand on his feet. The survivors hardly know which one it is, due to the confusion. (just kidding, the blood is a dead give-away...pun intended)
Mr.X is back on his throne, he is the boss, he is great...
Indeed. A boss who never ages, who never truely dies since he can construct copies of itself, the perfect Mr.X is on his throne. He is great, just like his original's perfect plan to "upgrade himself" into one of those robot bodies. Unfortunately for that human, he didn't live long enough to become a brain in a jar...But everything is ok.
Perfect.X is in charge...

Interesting for me since I never knew about Rudra's unique ending or the Mania ending. But about the SoR3 route; There's 4 start points, not just those 2 that were shown here, and I know at least one of those lets you do the full SoR3 route.
As I have played all three of the original games and beaten them for the many endings in all this makes the game seem both new and reminiscent at the same time. This is so damn inventive too. Creating move sets for the playable bosses that make them level and not overpowered is freaking genius. This is just plain awesome.
Certainly wasn't expecting you do a CBE vid on this game. Then again with SoR4 coming out in the future it should be expected.
First thing that came to mind when I saw this was "oh god, the "SoR3" route endings".
There was one time where I disarmed the bomb with around 1.26 seconds left. I thought I was a goner...
I feel always so nostalgic watching your videos, because I no longer have the time to play games. I truly miss it. But it's always so nice to watch your videos. I immerse deep into it. My first video was Breath of Fire IV, one of my favorite games. Thank you so much for all the effort.

Shiva becoming the boss, it just kinda makes sense to me. Shiva would overthrow X eventually or something. I'm kind of expecting Shiva to be the final boss of SOR4.

if there was a ending in sor3 that made you kill mr x but there was another hideout meaning that the organization is still alive and because shiva hasn’t been arrested and he is his right hand man he’d be considered the next leader

In two of those endings Blaze appeared with a jacket similar to her new design in Streets of Rage IV. I guess that the makers also played this game.
When you look at the credits you can find out that the dev team is made from people from different countries, it is very likely that many of them never met in person, making coordination harder and their work more meritory.

Sheesh, after many decades, the ending music of SoR2 is still amazing! It creates a nigh tangible feeling of victory and new hope. One of my all-time favorite game music pieces :)
I got the "Everyone dies" ending the first time I played through the game.
Needless to say, it put me in a sour mood, which only strengthened my desire to get a better ending the next playthrough.
By the way, I don't know if the comments already told you this, but there are 4 starting levels to chose from at the beginning. You probably have to press up and down. I don't remember exactly.
Yeah, there is 2 more paths on the bottom, which lead you to some of SoR3 stage and brand new ones.

I was playing this with my sister. We reached Mr. X and when he asked for us to be bodyguards, I said no and she said yes. We fought I won, said no again, beat X and I still got a bad ending. I don't think it's supposed to work that way...

One like, only for talking about SoRR. I don't think the SoR 4 will outclass it. By the way Git, the computer and the card are not random, they are exactly the same place that in SoR 3. (Always the second door) You certainly see the ressemblance with Stage 5.
this is one of the best STOR game so far, lots of extras, remake music and the fan art is incredible. fortunately i have it in my modded xbox classic (yes, there's a port for xbox classic) and you can play it many times and different ways. thanks for your video.

@@TripleT706 To play with the kangaroo you have to defeat his evil trainer to free him, making him a selectable character when you continue, there is also a cheat to play with him since the beginning so you don't have to lose a continue to play with him.

Is there a common timeline that every Fire Emblem game takes place in?
For example,did the events of Fire Emblem path of radiance happen during the same timeline as Awakening,only centuries before Awakening?
Also,is there a way to know exactly how many years have passed between each game?
I don't know, but I always assumed Awakening took place centuries after all the other games. FE4 apparently takes place before 1, 2 and 3.
In the awakening DLC the old FE heroes are considered ancient because their weapons are called "timeless" specifically,inisuating the events of past games take place a very long time ago.

I don't know whether or not that seperates the games into different universes.

Streets of Rage 4 wouldn't stand a chance aginst this. This game has blood decapitation guns. You can make ur own streets of rage game mode and its easy to use. I play this almost everyday.
Ima Make It So blood guns and decapitations make games better? Look at Mario and Kirby. None of that and they are platinum sellers.

I am curious on how SoR4 will turn out but it dose look promising. But anyways, is it me or did Jin from Tekken 5's ending pretty much copied SoR1's ending. Also, that SoR3 bad ending that wasn't in the original honestly caught me off guard. As a kid, I alway had a feared of a bad endings, assuming it would just be some funeral or grave stone. Looks like the game took it literally.
Well, bad endings interest me more nowadays instead of scaring me so I don't know.
I am sure it will be decent but the SORR simply cannot be outdone.

Shiva has a rather confusing design. Moreso in the case where he has a feminine name, but he’s supposed to be a dude, but looks like a woman in the sprites and in the bad ending where he can become the Boss after defeating Mr. X.
