To be honest, I picked up 2 Orient quartz watches this month, and I'm starting to dig quartz again. I like that piece, it's a nice clean, sleek look to it.
I figure guys like Harrison and Hooke would love quartz as much as I do. I have 4 mechanical chronometers, but I also have 4 haq. I've even got a bog standard quartz, saphire glass with t-100 tritium tubes & 200m wr. What's not to love about that when it is +17 seconds a month and only $180 USD?
Too bad the seconds hand doesnt even come close to hitting the seconds markers. A quartz must hit them perfectly for me to be even remotely interested in it. My OCD. Same as bezels.
I know this design isn’t groundbreaking or anything crazy, but I think it does a lot of things right. That swept case is beautiful and the size / proportions look great. I only wish that the baton hour markers were solid white like the center of the hands, not reflective. And if the TISSOT was like 60% of the size.
I own this exact watch but with a Tissot black leather strap. I dig it also. Its super accurate. After hearing it's no longer made, I wonder if itll gain value? I got it off Amazon brand new for 150 a while ago
@@explained4242 only the hands are lumed...and there isn't much of it either, which is the only major gripe for me. But as a Dress watch, one shouldn't expect much lume.
5 seconds a year. I think this watch has a 10-seconds-a-year ETA PreciDrive thermocompensated quartz movement, which is of course not as good but cheaper. Or are some Citizen movements 1 second a year?
Great watch, got one for my mum in 39mm on black leather, perfect for her. Precise like my Bulova Lunar Pilot, but on my wrist it looks with 39mm like a kids watch ... 😂
About time quartz at a decent level got a comeback! Mechanicals ????? Too much to f. up and don't look any different from the watches point of view? That's what Seiko realised 50 years ago!?
Yeah I‘ve had a basic PR100 quartz for a long time which “looks ok” but it’s nothing special. The second hand really doesn’t hit the marks which is a bit of a shame.
COSC certification should require the second hand hits the marks.
That's my major pet peave. GS quartz and "the citizen" hit the markers spot on the entire dial
@@jimroadherscorrect. Even cheap casio analog watches hit the markers spot on
I think it looks better on the strap than the bracelet. I like where they put the date.

The automatic version of this for $250 is a steal. Love mine.

that can be corrected right?

Very nice watch ⌚ lovely quartz. Great video nothing touches Seiko quartz
Thanks for the video
Cool piece, and would work well for the office.
eyeing up the oceanus ocwt200t all black!!!!!!!
Tissot make great watches.
Muhle diver has the date magnifier under the crystal
One of those ETA PreciDrive quartz movements that’s thermocompensated and supposedly accurate to about +- 10 seconds a year. I think.

Aaaand the second hand misses a lot of the markers... is it really that hard to nail?
Not bad value for its original retail price. Not sure about the round date window however! Nonetheless it looked pretty good on Rob's wrist!
Definitely gravitating towards straps over bracelet these days. It looks much better on the leather. Nice watch
Sadly, leather straps last me two years if they’re good quality and I’m lucky.
Nothing wrong with affordable watches.
Nice Watch !
Bought this watch from Joma shop earlier this year...Great timepiece for the money. 👍🏽
Yes
hows the lume? where is it applied?

Maybe you could get in the Citizen Chronomaster for a review. That used to be JDM model only and the world’s most accurate wrist watch.

I'm confused. Do all quartz watches not run within -4 +6 ?
COSC is different for quartz watches. Something like +/- 0.07 per day. I don’t know exactly.
@@perpetualcheck9634 To get COSC, the watch must be 25 secs or less per year accuracy.
I got a 15 dollar casio 3 years ago and it's only gained 8 seconds using my atomic watch as a control

Cosc and it doesn't hit the marks rob thats just funny nice watch tho great vid
For the price.. they could atleast get the second hand to hit the markers.. my ocd would kill me.
What about the lume Rob ?
It sucks. Don’t bother
Random Rob Ty for the honest review 🙏🏻
dayum 300€ for quartz now

A quartz chronometer? Give me a break.
I like Rolex better than omega
Brilliant
I like anything better than rolex because it's a tosspots watch for council house kids who became bank managers ugh.

Found one in 2 minutes for $573 🤑💸😂
Damn. I got it brand new less than a year ago for a third of that. Where is it on sale?
LOL
The design of this Tissot line is just so bland. Not bad, but doesn't grab me.
Totally agree
@Ray Han Rolex is boring AF
Totally agree, to my mind I haven't seen a Tissot yet where the design isn't off in some way, or they are very 'safe' dull & uninteresting
@Ray Han There's lots really. Omega, vintage seiko, Grand Seiko, JLC, Tudor, Rolex, Hamilton & vintage Heuer are the ones that spring to mind.
@@Andrew.W75 I have one, I like that it is understated.
@ 2:19 so that’s what you look like lol.
T-So makes some beauties. This isn't one of them.

Really Bad Translation 🤯
COSC and can't hit a single mark. FFS, COSC means nothing, I guess. My Chinese watch does better.
Beautiful Watch, Awful bracelet
