Thank you, Megan, not only is this just what I was looking for, but includes many of the movements I was taught to do for a back injury when I was in therapy. Your generosity in offering these RUclips videos for free is very much appreciated! ❤
I also find I feel better on my joints when I do my stretching first thing in the morning , this practice is very helpfull , thank you and will be doing this one more often! 🙂😘
Thank you Megan. I am really stiff every morning and do not feel like doing somatics, but doing it in bed was actually fun and felt soo good. I am going to repeat this!
I've been looking for something to do on a morning before I got out of bed. This was exactly what I needed , thank you so much for sharing this somatic excercise. I also thought it would relax me so much I would want to go back to sleep but once I had finished I was up and in the shower! My feet hips and back felt so much relief ❤❤
This practice is a blessing! It's so simple and yet I feel awakened and embodied, ready for the day. Thanks for inviting into your early morning ritual Megan!
Thank you so much for posting this. 🙏💓 I've been desiring something like this but had yet to find it. I really connected with the little prayer that you said at the end. I am forever trying to understand my purpose for being here and having the life that I have. 🤗💓🤔
Thank you. I have some kind of pinched nerve thing upper back from moving and lifting. I haven’t been able to do yoga because I can no longer bend my upper back and was once quite mobile. I think this helped. Perhaps I can get in and out of downward facing dog again soon. Moving to another location has been disabling.thanks again
Thanks for sharing and I hope you have continued to return to your comfortable body. The weight bearing in down dog can be tough with nerve impingement, but I have a number of videos to help with that. 😍
First, keep at it. You already made a discovery! Do one ankle at a time. Place a hand on the thigh of the leg you are moving so you know if the thigh is trying to take over. If so, ask the thigh and hip to relax. I like to make it fun and imagine drawing smiley faces with my heels. Any visualization that allows you to "see" and feel your ankle from the inside. You may also choose initially to have someone manually help move your ankle through its full range of motion while you stay present to feel the muscles. Peace, Megan
Megan is trying to teach us the basic somatic movements for a morning session and the reasons for them. Once you learn the routine, you can do it on your own quietly or with soft meditation music. ✌🏻
@@MeganMacCarthy , actually, I find your voice encouraging and soothing! 😁 So much so that I am investigating your weeklong retreats in Ireland and hoping to convince my daughter and son’s girlfriend to join me next year. I am so happy to have discovered you! ❤️

Thank you for this! I stretch before bed, but didn’t have anything for the morning! I did it this morning and it feels great!
I hope it adds flight to your morning routine 😁
This is a big help. However, why does my upper body feel stiff? My head felt numb as if deafening and my gut seems to be hard?
I don’t know. Is that before or after the practice? Try again perhaps asking your body why if it happens during the practice 🙏
Thanks
Thank you for your comment and kind donation. I have a few more "bed yoga" vidoes coming out...
I can’t extend my leg due to tight hamstrings. Can you please help

Any advice if it’s difficult to make ankle circles without using thighs?

My hips and lower back just keep popping lol 😅
They will make noise on occasion. I have one knee and hip that sing
You just talk and talk and talk.... Didn't like it
Sorry. Lots of others out there to explore for free too.
