    I have used a lot of modalities for trauma release. Just found Somatic exercises. I store most of the unprocessed emotion in my neck and shoulders but did hip and body then ended up here as my last one for today. I have definitely released some stuck emotion and this last technique brought out some deep resentment coupled with sadness and a tinge of anger. TY

    🥀 Hi Emily!! I'm enjoying this! I've been curious about what can help me on a daily basis... I've realized for a while that focusing on breathing is not my path to calm., not at all... On the contrary, small movements seem useful to me... ( When I get a yawn in response... what a wonderful thing !! )
    🙄Some suggestion similar to the one to alleviate the anger you have been offering, but aimed at releasing anxiety, would be part of my kit !! Thanks!! 🌹🌱

      Hi Rita. Thanks for your comment, and glad to hear you are enjoying. That's a great point you make - breathing is not always the best way to calm down. Sometimes we have to burn off (discharge) our fight/flight energy first, usually by using movement. I'd love to create a video on easing anxiety, but in the meantime, you may enjoy my video "Somatic Grounding Exercise" ruclips.net/video/5TBoR847clE/видео.html

      @EmilyWinterSE 10 месяцев назад

      Hi there! I'm glad you found some relief from this video, but I hear you that there is still some tension. This video is quite brief, and if you have long-term patterns of chronic tension it will likely take more than a few minutes to resolve this. Might I recommend some gentle yoga that can help open up the musculature.

    • @EmilyWinterSE
      @EmilyWinterSE 18 дней назад

      Crying is usually a sign of emotional release. You probably were storing some emotional or stress energy in your body and the exercises helped that energy to discharge.

    Will this relieve neck pains?

    • @EmilyWinterSE
      @EmilyWinterSE Месяц назад

      I really hope so, but you won’t know until you try it out. It may not work for everyone to resolve tension and there may be longer or deeper tension patterns that need something else to release.

    Hey, why do i get muscle spasm or wanna scream when my muscles relax? How do i get rid of that?

    • @anitagoshchin9525
      @anitagoshchin9525 2 месяца назад +2

      Hey! I am NOT a specialist, but I've been doing somatic exercises for the trauma release for quite some time, and I can share my experience. Spasms are most probably are the muscles 'shaking off' the tension they have been carrying for a while. The need to scream - same, but for emotions. I've had spasms myself (not often, but I did). As far as screaming, I didn't have that exact reaction, but I for sure wanted to punch the sh*t out of anything. I did follow the need (obviously, I didn't harm any of the living being, and used my pillow for beating up), and I also wrote down all the thoughts that were surfacing at those moments. 'I feel really angry with.....' and something something. Usually those were memories of events that happened in the past. As you keep doing the exercises, the symptoms will ease out.
      Again, that was my personal experience and I am not claiming that this is how it works 100% for everyone.
      But maybe you'll find this helpful.

      Hello there! Sometimes when we relax, we find there is a whole other layer of tension, impulses, or emotion to feel, underneath the initial constriction. You might get curious about what shows up for you when you relax, and see if you can allow yourself to express some of that through gentle movement or sound.
