Thank You. I'm in the uk. I am two weeks after surgery with considerable stiffness in 3 fingers and no post op exercise regime advised. So I am going to start these exercises to see if it loosens. Thanks.

My finger still very stiff, I can't stretch it all the way to touch the table surface. Any specific exercises recommendation after the stitches had been removed? Thank you

I’ve been good. both middle fingers are ok but now it right hand ring finger but I don’t think I be getting anymore surgeries. It’s beginning to get tiring. But all is good with previous surgeries. Good luck with your surgery and recovery

@@aanglero , thank you so much for your response. I'm very worried because weightlifting and bodybuilding are part of my life (probably the cause of my trigger finger problem). Obviously, surgeries on my hands will force me to alter my lifting activities for life. Take care, and thanks again for taking the time to answer

I had two successful trigger finger releases. Then I needed another trigger release on two fingers one on each hand. Things went better than the first two and after about two month things turned for the worse and both fingers started to pull down and pain started to shoot up my fingers. More pain than even the previous pain with trigger finger. I now wear a splint throughout the day to pull it. At night it's the worse. I probably will never do this surgery again that's how painful it is now. I happen to be a type 1 diabetic so I am sure it's related to that.

Im not a diabetic and i had the same thing happen to me :( I am 2 months post-op from ring finger and thumb trigger surgery and the pain and stiffness is worse now then before my surgery. The only thing that cured was the sticking (clicking) of the fingers :( Im thinking about going out a buy a splint try that then call doctor back if that dont work.

THANK YOU so much! I had a knee replacement 3 weeks ago with trigger finger release. The subject of my hand has never been addressed. I took my own stitches out after 2 weeks. I won't use my surgeon again!

Did you have both surgeries done on the same day? Most Surgeons won't do that due to the fact that there is a chance of infection. I would never take my stitches out; thats what Post OP visits to your Surgeon is for...

I'm a critical care paramedic, so it was no deal to me.. I did have a knee replacement and trigger finger the same day. No way I'd have both knees done at once.

I had carpal tunnel surgery and double trigger finger surgery on the same hand. They wanted to give me Tylenol 3 for pain which I told them makes my stomach really upset so they gave me a shot of toradol and ibuprofen 800 I went home it was on a Friday I was literally up all night with pain radiating from my hand by 6:00 in the morning I was vomiting. The doctor did the surgery said he doesn't or the hospital that he works for does not give out anything stronger than Tylenol 3. Those first three days were terrible. We are in 2022 and we have only gone backwards in pain Management.

I have a right hand that has osteoarthritis and my hand is literally becoming deformed. I get steroid shots in them but I haven't been going as much because it doesn't seem to be helping. Do you have anything that helps a hand like that or any kind of surgical process that helps a hand that's like that or a gel injection like they have with the knee in between the joints anything that might help me

Hi what complications can occur if you have surgery on the wrong finger? On a finger without trigger finger symptoms..

    • @alyssa0411
      @alyssa0411 6 месяцев назад

Why would they operate on the wrong finger? Prior to surgery, your doctor should have come in and marked with a pen on the finger that needed surgery. They also should have had you sign a sheet of paper specifying exactly which finger or thumb was to receive the surgery. If they still messed up, then you should be contacting a lawyer.

I had trigger finger surgery 2 months ago and the recovery is going terrible. Persistent swelling in base of my middle finger that will not resolve. Trying shockwave therapy for the scar tissue in hopes that it will also help the swelling. My chiro told me that 3-4 shockwave sessions can actually cure trigger finger instead of surgery. Really disappointed that Ortho didn't suggest trying another avenue before surgery.

Many thanks to dr.Joshua for this information.
    I have a question...
How long will it take for post surgery finger to be totally recovered, and free from stiffness?
I had trigger finger surgery 3 months ago. The result was great tht I had no more Pain and big stiff , for the sheat had been Made loose.
But. Still there is little stiffness. It seems because the tendon still thicked.
As a pianist. I cant move the finger evenly.
I am so depressed now for my condition. I just want to know is this the final condition or it Will take more time?
    🙏🙏
My Surgeon only say "Let's see".
And first time i came, he just told me to do surgery. No therapy nor cortisone attempt.
