I love how this scene gives a hint that maybe in the future Elizabeth will help Georgiana improve her confidence and take care of her. I loved how she first encouraged her to play the piano and then ran to her as she heard the name of the traumatising man. They would have such a sweet sisterly relationship in the future.
We should all have someone who looks us the way darcy looks at elizabeth. And sees us the way he he sees elizabeth. He was attracted to her eyes and valued her mind more.
You know in the old days before the record player was invented it must have been much more prevalent for people to sing and play musical instruments. I believe that they were common even in the middle class homes of the era!
