I was referring to the original 430EX www.keh.com/shop/canon-speedlite-430ex-flash-light-223945.html#view-2 Look at the pictures here. There will be a button (on the head) that controls the locking/unlocking of the flash head direction on the actual device.
Just a quick concept here. Not sure who your target audience was, but it might have been nice to first show each modifier and use the name, show the up position and straight forward position (yes, I know later on it becomes a bit obviou), demonstrate a few photos at same distances with both in each position, and THEN go over the stops of light lost. It might also have been nice to show how those modifiers made your images look "more professional" by shooting with standard, smaller modifiers. At the end, the magnet thing could be thrown in as things you didn't like (i.e. price) along with things you did. Just realize, that for those of us not using MagMod, the names and objects do not mean anything, nor does the positions they are used. So to start with the chart of light lost first was less useful. Thanks. Appears you got to the photos later in the video - not sure outdoors was the best place to demonstrate the concept. Looking at the specs on your photos, clearly shooting wide open (w/HSS). Thx.
Great info, thanks. Just so tired of these self-absorbed models. How about choosing a nice natural person, even an old man, a real human being, just s.o. who is not trying to be „sexy“?
SHOWING Edited photos where skin looks like soap....it's not best way to show those products. hard to udnerstand what is real what si faked. I do understand that woman at her age dont want close ups shown on internet but... it voids the comparison of how soft those products makes light
Soap, lol. With smartphones and social media apps manipulating images, that's an interesting critique. Most people in western world want to mitigate the age factor. From the news to other forms of media, having a retouched look is more excepted because of the super resolution of these cameras. That's why iPhones and the make up industry is so popular, because they do it automatically . I will do it again with no retouching because your comment is valid to a certain extent.
@@DevynFromCFXTV Well, he has a major point. And a lot of RUclips content creators make this same mistake. It's difficult to know just how soft the light from any particular modifier is if you show us the picture heavily retouched as significant smoothing on skin voids what you're saying about the quality of light because we don't know how much of that is retouching and how much is the actual quality of the light. So it makes more sense to show the unretouched one and then the retouched one. I don't know why RUclipsrs like yourself think this is so strange. It's just common sense if you're talking about light modifiers.
I've had the mag mod system for about a year and they've never come out of the rubber housing they sit in.
Yeah, cool. I've had mine for almost 4 years
The Canon 430 Ex iii-rt flash has a lock…. but that only locks the screen settings not the actual swivel capabilities of the flash head.

hi did you shoot this with auto white balance?
Maybe you said it in the video but I didn't hear it. But what flash did you use for the first two? Thanks for the video 🔥
I may have forgot Flashpoint Li-ion III

I like your suggestion.
