After many long thoughts about the words narcissist and empath i have come to the conclusion that they are often terms that we use to validate our own feelings or the actions of others. No matter what someone says or does to you, the real learning is to look inside yourself. "This person was a narcissist and used to abuse me" and so and so. So now ask yourself. Why did i continually allow someone to do that? It always starts and ends with yourself.
"Carl Gustav Jung was in India. He went to see the Taj Mahal, he went to see Khajuraho, he went to see the temples of Konarak, but he did not go to see Ramana Maharshi. And wherever he went, he was again and again told that "You being one of the topmost psychoanalysts in the West, you should not miss this opportunity of meeting a eastern mystic who has come to his full flowering." He was in the South, within two hours distance he could have reached Ramana Maharshi. For three months he was in India, but he avoided. This cannot be just coincidence. And he himself felt that he needs to give some explanation, otherwise it will be felt that he has been avoiding. And naturally, he was a great intellectual and a great psychoanalyst -- he could find any excuse and any explanation and he found the explanation which is very dangerous. His explanation was back in *Zurich, he gave the statement that he did not go to see Ramana Maharshi because the ways of the East and the West are different and the eastern way is dangerous for the western man because he has developed differently, his tradition is different, his culture is different, his religion is different, his whole psychic development is different. It is dangerous to bring into this different psychology any method from the East because that is developed for a different kind of man, for a different kind of psychology -- that's why I did not go." But this is all rubbish because who was saying to you that you have to follow Ramana Maharshi, who was saying to you that you have to use his techniques, his methods? All that people were insisting was that you should at least see him. Just meeting him would not have destroyed your western psychology. And if it is so weak, so fragile, that just seeing the Ramana Maharshi it is going to be destroyed, then it is not worth -- it should be destroyed and sooner the better. Why waste time with such a weak thing? Ramana Maharshi is not afraid of you. When he was told that Carl Gustav Jung is here and he has been continuously told by every psychologist he is meeting in India that "It is useless to meet professors of psychoanalysis in India because they are simply repeating like parrots what you are producing in the West. It is better to go to see something unique and different so you have a certain comparison. Perhaps he may be coming." And Ramana was overjoyed. He said, "He is welcome. Whenever he wants to come, I am available." And this man is uneducated. He left his home when he was only seventeen. He is not an expert in anything. He is not a logician, he is not a philosopher and he is not afraid of one of the founders of psychoanalysis. He is happy to see him. But the psychoanalyst is a coward. To me this is not just an incident between Jung and Ramana; it is very symbolic, very significant. The western psychoanalysis is afraid because it is based on shifting sands, it has no foundation. So if you ask me, I cannot suggest you small changes here and there. I cannot tell you how you can renovate leaving the old structure intact -- just giving it a new paint, a new arrangement of furniture and things like that. No. The whole structure is from the foundation is wrong. The western psychology has to drop the ego and has to find the real self and that is possible only through meditation. And the East has done it for thousands of years. So it is not something new, it is not something unexplored, it is not something Quixotic. It is something for which centuries stand in support. And not a single meditator has gone mad, not a single meditator has committed suicide, not a single meditator has committed rape. It is not only expertise, intellectual understanding; it is a transformation of the man himself. The psychoanalyst has to be reminded of one of the Socratic sayings: physician, first heal thyself. The psychoanalyst himself is sick, utterly sick. He is not different from the patient. They are in the same boat. He is having the same nightmares, he is suffering from the same mental tensions, he is feeling the same meaninglessness and he is trying to help people who are having the same diseases. How he can be a authority? With what face he can emphasize to the patient that things can be different? His whole personality is not involved in his work. It is only his education. It is something like a man gets educated in the history of art, becomes a great historian about all the art that has happened in the world, but he cannot draw a straight line himself. Because that does not come in the history. That is not a point at all. His expertise is history. This is the situation with the psychoanalyst: he knows everything about the mind, but he does not know how to change it, he cannot change his own mind, because for every change you have to be separate from the thing you are going to change. And he is identified with the mind -- who is going to change whom? Meditation creates the gap. It takes you beyond and behind the mind, then you can change, because mind becomes an object to you. Then you are no more identified with the mind. Then you can rearrange or you can completely change and the mind cannot affect you at all. You are so far away, so above, that the mind cannot reach to you. The mind not reaching to you gives you a tremendous power. You can reach to the mind and you can change anything you want and the mind is for the first time helpless. And you can help your patients for meditation."
I think we all are connected to everyone "the good and the bad" . And the real problem is considering yourself as inherently good or bad and then acting upon it and seeing everyone else with that filter and set of rules and having unable to digest why others are not behaving or acting to your ques and rules frustrates us. So just like our complex body and mind everything has its own purpose and we need to find our respective part to play and don't tell others to play as you wish...its like asking from a frog to look as beautiful as a butterfly or you would disgust it and kill it maybe.. its not the butterfly or the frog that has the problem its your own mind telling to put compulsion on other things...since you are connected to everything you are just hurting yourself and your world. You can be good and empathetic and accommodating to people and things around you or you can be irritated by things around you as such. Be happy ..it's a very short life to get things to be perfect like a house of cards...you minght put as much efforts as you want to make it perfect but sooner or later it will fall.🐵
Well done. I am humbly watching this from the other side.. and I watch it so that those future haters won’t convince me out of feeling sorry for them, to bounce out of my confidence
If you don’t like the thought of hurting others, because it makes us feel uncomfortable, creates negative emotions all around not just for me, but to our fellow man, does that then become a shadow? How much can the shadow undo the things about us we feel comfortable being? I’m going to make a statement here for example “it doesn’t work in my interest to consistently go around hurting others”. Where do we go from here? Can the shadow be as long as a piece of string? Can the ultimate integrating of the shadow turn anyone into a monster? If you heal what makes you feel uncomfortable.. can you end up hurting others?
I understand and agree with your point on projection, but your examples don't all apply to this concept. Sometimes we're irritated when people violate our rights or don't respect our boundaries, and that's a normal thing
I think it's important to differentiate between different forms of irritation and hate. I.e. if I think of someone else as genuinely pathetic and undeserving of my respect, it's because I don't identify at all with their apparent obliviousness to the problems with their behavior. That is, once I've come to terms with my own psyche, I'm still capable of detesting others. You don't like Hitler but it's not because you're secretly genocidal.
You don’t have to like everyone, and not everyone has to like you. That’s just normal. But if you feel strong hate toward someone, it could mean that emotion is more about you than them. Like with the example of Hitler, you might not like him, but you don’t really feel that deep, strong hate because it’s not personal.

He might be teaching you that your impatience could be subtly influencing your life decisions in ways you haven’t noticed yet, you might be making mistakes in other areas of your life without even realizing it might be your impatient is causing you losses on the stock market as an example and you didn't realize that and that you understand yourself better now you can make better decisions in the future.

How exactly did Carl describe items in the unconscious if by definition of the word, unconscious, you don't know what it contains? I am not saying things don't live in our unawareness, just that Carl dreamed up knowledge he did not possess. Thoughts?
Maybe people are annoying bc they force others to do things like watch ads before a video OR keep people from being free, like free to read a thumbnail for a video without the thumbnail disappearing after 2 seconds. Or just maybe we don't give a flying f about your comment under a video but are forced to read the most liked comment every time and their horrendous comments or cringe af. Maybe X will fix this and RUclips will die off fast bc 🤢 🤮
Sad to see so many comments against this truth/fact. If I were not responsible for how I Experience the world, I would not be free. Imo, the Purpose of Life is TOTAL FREEDOM. And that is always rejected by children of all ages.
Do you have to go to work/school / interact with people? If you don't then you are free, but most people cannot choose everything they experience, because some people can't be avoided (work, school, etc)
like i said in another comment:"You don’t have to like everyone, and not everyone has to like you. That’s just normal. Like with the example of Hitler, you might not like him, but you don’t really feel that deep, strong hate because it’s not personal."
This is not always true !!... When it is done with assumption, judgement without proof or other similar unfounded accusation,.... possible ..... But when you witness someone behaving erratically, then it's an absolute observation and not something you are or do.... Example : If you see someone abusing physically somebody else, that absolutely doesn't mean that the observer is also an abuser and doesn't mean that you should be complacent and or tolerate that behavior.... Just because somebody with a big title says so, doesn't mean its the "Bible" so to speak....,. They also have their own ideology judgmental and morale biased sometime.... Being human is not flawless no matter who you are....
I would go along with almost everything bar one exception. Someone taking credit for your contribution is a total sod; they are the one with the problem, not you; to say the opposite is nothing other than self flagellation/masochism.
Agree, that was a really bad example. Maybe the narrator doesn't understand. The concept is meant for things that are minor irritations, and for not when people are doing obviously wrong things like lying (which taking credit for others work is a form of).
mmmm old and ok idea, but quite irrelevant since it´s always overly generalised. And in any case, good luck proving any of that... we could though, if taken seriously, say that absolutely everything is part of absolutely everyone in a certain proportion, which has been already proven irrefutably, and with that, this idea loses all value.
What you said irritates me the most out of all the comments I've read under this video. Perhaps we're kindred spirits! But seriously, if you apply logic to everything you can suck the value out of life itself, free will, and all meaning. Like, none of us have free will, but if you behave like that's true, you won't get far with people or feel very inspired. At least, I don't think. Thoughts?
Well if we live in society...we see many diferent behaviors of others. Some things should should not say to others..in a vulgar way.. Specially if they are kids.. Or women you dont know. Just get along socialy whithout cursing.. Even uf your drunk. Be fairly gentle, simple and dont involve yourself triyng to educate every one.

Fantastic video thank you
"Carl Gustav Jung was in India. He went to see the Taj Mahal, he went to see Khajuraho, he went to see the temples of Konarak, but he did not go to see Ramana Maharshi. And wherever he went, he was again and again told that "You being one of the topmost psychoanalysts in the West, you should not miss this opportunity of meeting a eastern mystic who has come to his full flowering."
He was in the South, within two hours distance he could have reached Ramana Maharshi.
Whenever he wants to come, I am available."
And this man is uneducated.
Have you ever tried prayer Or experienced the power of it?
Maybe you'right,maybe it's just Jung's unresolved ego,maybe if meditation does all you've said,you should stop judge🤗
you got this from osho?

Indeed a tragedy 😢
Often but not always the case.
Yes, I must agree.
In short, the people that irritate us “often” teach us the most about ourselves.
I find this as a possibility not a probability. I also think this is affected by age. The older I get the less time I have to waste on such nonsense.
Briljante Video baie geleer!
With all respect to his memories, I totally disagree.
I knew I would like this🙏
Well done. I am humbly watching this from the other side.. and I watch it so that those future haters won’t convince me out of feeling sorry for them, to bounce out of my confidence
Lovely art

If you don’t like the thought of hurting others, because it makes us feel uncomfortable, creates negative emotions all around not just for me, but to our fellow man, does that then become a shadow?
How much can the shadow undo the things about us we feel comfortable being? I’m going to make a statement here for example “it doesn’t work in my interest to consistently go around hurting others”.
Where do we go from here? Can the shadow be as long as a piece of string?
Can the ultimate integrating of the shadow turn anyone into a monster? If you heal what makes you feel uncomfortable.. can you end up hurting others?
It is all about shadow work. I am currently looking into the darkness
Great video! Who did the artwork? More than 1 artist,, I think.???
I study Jung! But, i don't agree with this.
I understand and agree with your point on projection, but your examples don't all apply to this concept. Sometimes we're irritated when people violate our rights or don't respect our boundaries, and that's a normal thing
I think it works more for minor irritations.
Basically, look within first before you blame those outside yourself.
exactly 💯
I am content, all my "irritations" are external! Words are not actions!
What is this kind of art called?
@@Whisperingideas I severely detest Twurp because he is the antithesis of everything that I value and I’m ok with that.
6:26 now that you mention, theres this person who talks in circles and never arrive at an legible answer (even after rephrasing/repeating the question) ,which might be needed for an informed decision to avoid a financial loss let say.
accepting my imaptience, what do you think the above person has got to teach me ? TYVM
@Whisperingideas Appreciate your input. i can see what you mean to help me learn.
but heres the thing, my "impatience" mentioned above is only in realtion to the above mentioned situatiion
Not that i dont have any faults of my own in ALL aspects of life, far from it, but impatience will be the lest of em all if any as i M KNOWN TO BE WAYY TOO PATIENT, infact to a point my own detriment maybe. Only recently i had learned to stop being too patient to balance my act.
In fact my attempts to repeat and rephrase questions to again undertand the person should reflect enough patience i suppose. Although I had witnessed other people with same frustration in communicating with this person, i was merely pointing out if incase i had actually something to learn at all from the above "impatience" (trying to take the perspective mentioned in the video). if not, then to point what you said about Carl Jung saying would be not applicable in every situation i guess?
so was just testing that. sorry for the wal

at 2:10 Can I call it the J Krishnamurti chair?
When a person irritates or triggers something negative in you, look within for the source of the imbalance and leave the other person in peace.
How exactly did Carl describe items in the unconscious if by definition of the word, unconscious, you don't know what it contains? I am not saying things don't live in our unawareness, just that Carl dreamed up knowledge he did not possess. Thoughts?
One word. Retail
This is true
Maybe people are annoying bc they force others to do things like watch ads before a video OR keep people from being free, like free to read a thumbnail for a video without the thumbnail disappearing after 2 seconds. Or just maybe we don't give a flying f about your comment under a video but are forced to read the most liked comment every time and their horrendous comments or cringe af. Maybe X will fix this and RUclips will die off fast bc 🤢 🤮
bro!! you’re a great example 😂😂
Waaaaaaah!😂
Sad to see so many comments against this truth/fact. If I were not responsible for how I Experience the world, I would not be free. Imo, the Purpose of Life is TOTAL FREEDOM. And that is always rejected by children of all ages.
Do you have to go to work/school / interact with people? If you don't then you are free, but most people cannot choose everything they experience, because some people can't be avoided (work, school, etc)
Sorry, but this is wrong. Or, at least, not always right
like i said in another comment:"You don’t have to like everyone, and not everyone has to like you. That’s just normal. Currently I agree but my ego and I are currently at war over this.
this is exactly carl jung wanna tell about yourself
It’s nice that this is deep and all but some stuff is just not that deep.
Cant spot it unless u got it. So true.
❤
This is not always true !!... When it is done with assumption, judgement without proof or other similar unfounded accusation,.... possible ..... But when you witness someone behaving erratically, then it's an absolute observation and not something you are or do.... Example : If you see someone abusing physically somebody else, that absolutely doesn't mean that the observer is also an abuser and doesn't mean that you should be complacent and or tolerate that behavior.... Just because somebody with a big title says so, doesn't mean its the "Bible" so to speak....,. They also have their own ideology judgmental and morale biased sometime.... Being human is not flawless no matter who you are....
i made another video on this topic
A lot more deeper than that. Some people doesn’t even need to say a word and its already irritating. This was a very shallow explanation.
There but for the grace of God go I.
Thoughts?
@@TheEbonn

Well if we live in society...we see many diferent behaviors of others.
Some things should should not say to others..in a vulgar way..
Specially if they are kids..
Or women you dont know.
Just get along socialy whithout cursing..
Even uf your drunk.
Be fairly gentle, simple and dont involve yourself triyng to educate every one.
Yet our beautiful MessiYaH and Abba Father, are very interested in PEOPLE! it's very sad to be reduced to FACTS, characteristics of men and women while Abba's character, He has more than 900 DIFFERENT characteristics. In order for us to walk in His footsteps, we have to broaden our horizons! Otherwise we put Him in a box! Not going to turn out good!
I think we have to step out of the psychology of the human psyche and tap into His frequency and character otherwise snakes will come out of the 2 sexes because it's their FIRES not in tune with Abba's fire. Then the 2 fires burn each other with catastrophic consequences!
The challenge now is to step up and into His footsteps and out of the shadows of the human mind! The dark side of humanity! That's how the world ended up in this dilemma because of fears of globalists! They are a small minority who aim to control the majority by herd mentality. I am sorry! I don't fall in that category, that makes me very dangerous for the globalists. No one can make you feel inferior or lock you up and down, WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT! They thought for THEMSELVES!
