As someone who escaped from a short term relationship (4 years) I found Dr. Ramanis channel on YT and she is of the ( NPD expert) opinion narcissisists can NOT be "cured", in fact she says its one of the very few psychological traumas which don't even respond to therapy...

Look to be honest, a lot of the stuff that later on does not make sense, made sense at the time it made sense. To say its not important to fit in , well once when you have a family you no longer care what other people think of you and you have no desire to fit in. If you are in high school its important to fit in because if you do not you are socially excluded or even a target. This all just bs.

I am fortunate to have tried it, and it turns out that ego death really opens up intimate experiences with the surroundings. As for physical death, whatever it will be, I want to meet it peacefully and with a smile. 💚

To me, ain t no age limit to have a personal and financial growth and there wouldnt be any social pressure that forces us to hasten on making a life. I believe we should enjoy every sec of our lives, no matter how many times we slip up, we got ta stand up and kee ahead. We learn from mistakes to head towards success, and I say everything just comes to us when we do lil expect, let's not haste on anything, life is just a short journey which may end at any time. That s what I mused over on, once I got past 40 cuz before I came into that stage of my life, I felt shit scared and a kind of desperate cuz I got a feeling I had wasted my life on what I lived as younger.

I'm 36 and have changed career path recently from working as a physiotherapist for 13 years with added masters that I still love in some ways, but the salary and poor working conditions made me switch career path where Im currently studying something completly different - data analytics, that I do not love but hopefully will give me better work life balance. So this clip truly resonates with me, old values of always sacrificing myself to others with no benefit has changed me now to grasp for a new life path where I strive for a career that will produce outcomes thats good for ME in different dimensions. Should be mentioned that I have been a devoted left voter in my young years but in the past 5 years swifted more to the right and Im now conservative which explains a bit of my story. Life huh 😂

I believe that midlife crisis occured due to the fact that humans did not live this long and prosperous. It used to be literally just surviving and striving. When life condition is hard, difficult to imagine that we would have midlife crisis
