  • We replaced a concrete driveway using time lapse video. The driveway is 6" thck of 4000psi concrete with stone base that was compacted.
We brought our concrete from a company named:
    Delaware Valley Concrete
    dvc-concrete.com/
    We used all Marshaltown tools:
    marshalltown.com/
We poured this job on a very hot day 92degrees
    however we used 2% retarder.
For an estimate we can be reached at
    www.Dependableconcrete.com

After 32 years in the biz, I am amazed at all the experts in these comments.
I want to address many specific comments but they aren't worth anyone's time.
There are many different ways to pour concrete and all of them can be good and acceptable. Depending on the area of the country and climate and building codes.
I'm just surprised that actual concrete finishers are still in such high demand with all these "experts" I see commenting on this vid.

Ok. i noticed a few things during your video. 1. i think you might have over worked your guys during the demo phase. it might have gone a little faster if the skid steer scooped first then topped off by hand. 2. not once during the video did any of your guys look like they were frustrated or angry. lets face it tempers aways fly when doing hard work, your guys portrayed a very professional attitude. 3. every one of your guys kept busy doing what ever needed doing. And last but not least. your crew did some very nice work. thats what a job like that is supposed to look like. exactly how long did the job take, it looked like you got the whole thing done in just one day. you got a well trained and hard working crew. tell them great job.,

Much easier and faster to manipulate the concrete, tool is long and light weight. All the union finishers in Philly use this method too. In 40 years we had no issues with our concrete spalling of peeling from a quick trowel; Its only a 1st pass then a quick broom finish. Revisited jobs and all is still good from decades ago. Philly style!

Breaking the existing and loading like that is not as productive. Also never have truck on opposite side of street. Just asking for accident. But a power buggy. Leave three of your guys at home
