The speaker is William Haden, a civil rights leader in Pittsburgh speaking before a City Council group of some sort. His passion and his anger are visceral. George Floyd.
"What the hell do you think we care about dying if you are gonna deny us the right to live!!!?" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not very angry, very tired.
That last line, wow
I long for such passion in politics once again
be careful what you wish for, or youll get a bunch of SJW cucks on every college campus in the entire nation.
passion is dangerous without the intelligence to temper it.
@the dude or you get a fascist like Hitler or Mussolini. As you said, passion without intelligence is dangerous regardless from the left or right
@@thedude5853 that was not passion. That was pain screaming from his soul.. I understand the statement you were attempting to make . But you do not temper pain.. he was living in a time where he was not allowed to fear death because he lived in a time where no matter how tempered his passion he could at any moment be killed for the color of his skin..
@dictatorofneptune Blacks are certainly not treated like they were in the 1960s. In any case, the US riots of 2020 had 'racial protestors' (meaning people protesting in the name of racial justice, not just black people) burning down regular businesses. In all that anger, no elites or elitist structures were targeted. It seems everyone is a little bit confused. Racism still exists because within our species lives a fundamental tribalism. It will not be going away any time soon.
more like dorklord
you can imagine just how much pain and struggle this man had endured throughout his life .... that amazing speech came from deep within him .. i hope he found some level of justice and peace after this .. .. honestly this is one of the most powerful speeches I've sever heard .... huge respect for this gentleman
I doubt it. Considering this was 60 years ago and things haven't really changed. The government solving racism is like putting a nice paint job on a broken car and calling it fixed.
@@stephanjones8424living conditions was never better for them. Truly oppressed want independence not integration with their oppressors… like many have been saying it doesn’t seem like much has changed, but not for how they think 😊
@@stephanjones8424the government did their part. Ppl have to get their own hate and racism out themselves
Black brothers. Look ! Look how hard your forefathers fought for you... To be equal...To have the same rights as the next man...Do something with that...America is truly a land of opportunity. YOU GOT THE KEYS TO BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE...
Wow, his speech almost moved me to tears. What a passionate man, I hope this speech made a difference for him and other African Americans in Pittsburgh.
He’s not an African American he was speaking for our Aborigine American Ancestors reclassified from Indian to colored and negro. African American didn’t exist as socio political construct at the time. Do not rewrite our story as the Colonization Society and the Eugenics Movement has already done. We are correcting the false narratives that stand to paper and bureaucratic genocide our future 7 span generations
By the way we are not African we are American.
@@AnniceMichelle If we were, he wouldn't be seeking dignity.
what a powerful speech, what a sincere energy of revolt.
This was so powerful on many levels. I feel his pain and Anguish.
What the hell you think we care about dying, if you deny us the right to live? Ive never heard that before
Love this video❤️. Spoke in words that every black person can feel✊🏾🌍
Here we are in June 5th 2020...

May 3rd 2021 from UK - God bless you my black brothers and sisters 🙏
Very sad 😞
love these videos David.....THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone asking why this man “WILLIAM HADEN” is Angry, in Pain or Tired is living in a bubble.
I had taglines like this. It’s an angry man under the context of race. Still a man.
a very angry black man and rightfully so.
60 year old White Man hear and I found no fault with these Words when my Father had me listen to them then and I find nothing Wrong with them now. But this isn't what were hearing today.
What has changed, what are you hearing today?
@@player1111ful He is just a silly old man he can’t even spell here lmao he isnt hearing anything
What a smart and educated black man.
The sound of deep offense and agitation..feel that frustration...let it motivate decency if u have any...
You’re clearly projecting, that’s all you hear because that’s all you know, this is the sound of power, freedom, independence, autonomy, identity, & sovereignty, but of course someone on the outside looking in wouldn’t understand that
we need this guy now
Damn dealing with same thing today 🤧😢
Thank you wise man for standing up for the truth ...luv u....Jah -bless!
The title is wrong.
He should be ....A black man with strength and courage 1968
The label for this clip is very telling. What some see as 'angry' others see as 'passionate' 'feed up' or even 'at their wits end.' But for the sake of discussion, the bible says "be angry, but do not sin." William Haden did not commit sin in the midst of his righteous anger, so he should not be pathologized or judged negatively in any way regarding the truth that some wanted suppressed then and now!
"A very angry black man." The mischaracterization. You would be angry too. Righteous anger over the lifetimes of injustices and oppression. We should all be angry about it.
Whether or not I would be angry too is not the point. My title is exactly accurate. I don't say whether the anger is justified or not or righteous or not. I only say that he is angry.

@@DavidHoffmanFilmmaker there is a running narrative of the Angry Black Man/ Angry Balck Woman. It paints with broad brushstroke and is harmful.
If you've never seen passion before.....
Who, what, when and where are some things you may want to consider when titling videos. Because the current title isn't it. It's very damaging and dangerous verbiage. Who is the person speaking in the video? What issues are being addressed in the video? When was this video recorded, produced, etc and where did the meeting take place?
After watching this, I'm wondering why the merch says bring back the 50's.seems ironic for the channel to give out the merch woth that sentence considering it shows you videos like this lol. Probably not that big of a deal but i still find it odd.
The "merch" that I make says many different things. One of my subscriber groups requested this and I did that for them. It is not the only thing I have made and certainly does not fit everyone, including me!

Forgiveness & peace is great. Thnks for the video.
That isn't "anger" that is righteous fury
You know full FUCKING well that those are both the same thing!
Not sure that I would have used that that title for this clip. It’s dismissive and doesn’t truly describe what the video is. Somewhat insulting in my humble opinion.
The video: made like its the 1940's but the 1960's in color
Terrible caption..... why was he angry tho.....
Agreed. Terrible caption/title.
We need a resurrection!!!all this fighting back then for our people to be behaving like we do today!
Actually they were on the verge of violent revolution especially after the assassinations Malcolm X and Dr Martin Luther King Jr
i wish that this brother would've understood that when he says or thinks "America" that he was speaking to a CULT...not a "country".
He looks like Tyson.
Yea 🤣🤣🤣
daddy chill
I wonder if he is still living!!!
He died 1974 at age 57 of cancer
@@niklasgebert9721 even God hated him

The comment of this video is one of the reasons why he was pissed...ignorance

les gens noires, nous sommes venus vous prêter main forte
Why does this man have to be angry? He’s not angry he’s just trying to make an Appeal.
Let me ask you this question? What's your ethnic background???
Meanwhile back in Chicago...
