I know this video is months old but I'm researching my next enclosure 😅 Did you end up putting something in here that needed to maintain higher humidity levels? I have a Halmahera Blue Tongue Skink. I keep looking at Kages but they're the most expensive PVC enclosures that I'm seeing and Im afraid to pull the trigger.
I haven’t yet but I’m getting it set up over the next couple weeks! We just finished the electric in the new reptile room today so I can finally get back to finishing enclosure projects! Even though I haven’t officially set it up yet, I actually have 2 more to build now because I liked the first one soo much 😅
I think it looks good I have a dubia enclosure I’m looking for a new enclosure for my king snake I might check them out .I’m happy with my Dubia enclosure but it was hard to put together and the pieces didn’t connect all the way lol 😂 I don’t know if I wanna go threw putting another enclosure together again
I learned with Dubia that hard surfaces and not being afraid to break the pieces is the way to go lol! I use them for events because being lightweight makes them easy to travel with! You definitely can’t go wrong with Kages either from what I’ve experienced so far!
Going to be ordering one of these or the zen habitats my question is is it worth paying the extra for the side vents ? Or has it worked good with just the back vents ??
Think about where you’ll be putting the enclosure and your set up! If you like to build backgrounds, side vents would be better! I like back vents because I stack my enclosures next to each other so the side vents are blocked
So need help i bought the kages with your discount the bottom panel you supposed to drill into the pvc ? Or am i trying to connect it wrong ? Don’t want to break it
I will be using the arcadia lamp holders because they make installation easy! Setting it up is still a work in progress, but I will have another video once it’s done! 😁
I just found you ❗️ I have a Banana 🍌 Ball Python that I love, he really is the Coolest Snake I’ve ever owned… ( I’ve had some mean ones 🤷🏻♂️ ) I 100% agree with you that Balls need a larger enclosure than what most people are told 🤨. I have my BP in a 40. Gallon / Tall and it’s not nearly enough.. He’s CONSTANTLY climbing and exploring. I purchased Frankie from my city’s Reptile show, and when the Breeder that sold me the snake saw the 40 Gallon / Tall Reptile tank I bought for him, the Breeder said “ way too big- overkill), He even told me that if he fell during climbing, he could be injured ⁉️ I actually have some questions about the tank, I just want to make sure I get that part tank before I ask you questions about it . I just subscribed to your channel ✅ I think you’re phenomenal. Thank you for the Helpful Info, Pete from Brooklyn.
I am in the process of putting together my first Kage, a 4' x 2' x 2' also, but in black. I found your video in the middle of building and your review is encouraging. It arrived 9 days after I ordered, and in perfect condition. I just stuck now trying to figure out exactly where I want the lights. I wish the top didn't have to be screwed down completely before the doors are installed, but I guess there is a good reason for that.
I’m so glad! That’s awesome that it came so fast and that you also had a great experience with it coming in in great condition! I won’t lie (and I meant to mention it in the video) I didn’t put the screws in for the top in the back, only the front and the front sides, so I can still lift it up just enough to sneak the plug for the lights through once I install them!
I never take my luck for granted💙 It’s been many years of hard work and making genuine connections all while pursuing my reptile education business ☺️ I would LOVE a chuckwalla, and a jungle carpet python and red sided garter are 2 of my DREAM snakes! So I’d love to have literally everything you just named 😍
I respectfully disagree! If a company wants customers to spend a couple hundred to even thousands of dollars with them, the enclosure should be of good quality and come in in good condition. Yes it should fit the needs of the animal, but the keepers themselves are certainly in a place to be able to judge whether or not they like an enclosure! PVC is certainly a great material and can look nice when it’s done well, like Kages did! But I also love the strength and rigidity of a good wooden enclosure 😌 But Kages has definitely made a fan out of me! 🐍
Kages was kind enough to give us a discount code for you guys! Use code “ZAReptiles” for $50 off your order! 🎉
Have you used Kages before!?!? Let me know what you think! 🐍

I’m planning on getting one as well for my bearded dragon but I don’t know if I should get a black or white one
Black is so sleek but I’m a white girly because I like how bright it makes the room feel!

Do the pre drilled holes line up? If not you might have something backwards! This has happened to me before!
@zareptiles did your bottom boards have holes? Mine do not
How’s putting in lights ? Any videos?
And heating panels or mats?

honestly its not about you liking the cage. its about whats better for the animals and PVC is better so figure it out. 🤷♀ kages are super dope
