Which was your favorite enclosure in this video?
I liked the one for Fire Bellied toads
Fire belly toad
Fire bellied toad! I am definitely doing something like that for my lil fire bellied toads
Fire belly toad was awesome
Tree frog was cool
"this is an American green tree frog. It's American, it's green, and it's a tree frog." Truly the wisest among us
I truly am a genius
@@WickensWickedReptiles "Sometimes my genius.... It's almost frightening."
- You at some point probably
@@DallonsDynasty Lol true
When you're trying to make the word count on an essay
@@somethingcats Lol that's 100% spot on!
The fire belly toad enclosure is mine! Yes the plants are all real, and they all grow... well, like weeds. I have to trim the thing constantly. I think you were talking about the ficus in the top left corner when you were wondering if there are fake plants, but nope, its just a very, very happy plant. That's a ledge up there, and there's always at least one frog hiding in the leaves. There are a bunch of fish in there too. Espei rasboras, celestial pearl danios, daisy rice fish, and a pair of honey gouramis. I have a bunch of other enclosures, but this is by far my most successful. Its right next to the couch, and one of my favorite things to do is just sit and watch it. The fish are super active, and the frogs are adorable. Thanks for the high rating, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The only one that really stood out as "this is a great looking one".
(a bit small for the gourami's I'd say, we like to keep them in a 80x40x40 cm aquarium minimal as a couple/trio, the espei are too much of a swimmer to be happy in this tiny a pool-area)
But I loved the picture, gorgeous tank!
@@muurrarium9460 The water feature is a lot bigger than it looks in the photo- its the entire bottom half of the tank. There's a lot of cover and places to hide, and I haven't noticed any aggression at all from any of the fish. If the water feature was just in the front of the tank I would totally agree with you- that would be far too small for the fish I have. I'm a big fan of giving animals way more space than the minimum, so I'm careful not to overstock
@@ryanwoods751 OH, now I am an even bigger fan!!
I love giving the animals maximum space :D
Are there more picts of you tank(s) online?
Mine are nowhere near as greatlooking as yours btw.
This enclosure is amazing! Moreso because people seldom put this kind of effort into common (“cheap”) animals, even though they’re no less deserving.
Some cool herp homes; I love that fire toad enclosure, so beautiful!. I made the 'trees' on either side of the Chapala garter tank out of PVC pipes covered in cocofibre mat and then bark. The tubing for the intake and outflow plumbing for the filtration runs through the tubes so they stay hidden. The fake plants up high are only there until the ivy and pothos on the ground level establish and make their way up. Great video!
Oh wow! What a cool design!
Sweet design!!!
Question! How do you deep clean the water area if something like algae were to grow? I love this enclosure but I worry about the time commitment to maintenance! (I am disabled so I have to be careful about that kind of thing.)
@@r.nicogorodetzky3084 I just use a scraper to clean the algae and a gravel vacuum to suck up gunk from the bottom when it's time for a water change/filter clean. You could also use some algae eaters to help keep the algae under control. I would avoid algae eating fish in case the garters try to eat it (some have spines and some fish are toxic to garters). There are many species of tiny shrimp that eat algae and would be a safer option.
Wait I’ve sawn the enclosure in the thumbnail it was in a petsrore
I’m from England and your “harsh” is hilarious to me. You are so Canadian and I love it. Love the enclosures too it’s nice to see that people put the effort in for their babies! 😊
This was AMAZING!!!! I love how everyone is giving these animals great enclosures. I would love to see more.
they really are pretty great eh!
The faux wood Day Gecko enclosure was mine. I will try to see what I can add over on that left size. I just planted it as you saw so hopefully it will grow in nice. Thanks for the tips.
it'll look so good when it grows in!
Can you send an update photo to the channel when it dose?
@@annconover1277 yep. Will definitely do. I'm on his Patreon so it will be easy to get it to him.
@@jph290 Very cool, will look forward to the update! :)
I upgraded my day gecko to a 36" tall enclosure .. cuz arboreal right.. He never ever leaves the top 6" of the enclosure except for water. I could have kept him in his old 24" there's no difference. he has alllll of the branches but refuses to do anything but stick to the glass. I tell him he will get floppytail but he does not listen
Gives me motivation to get my upgrades done...I've been procrastinating. Love these kind of videos. It's fun but it's also good for people to get inspiration and see where they stack up...hopefully it'll entice some to upgrade also.
so glad you enjoyed!
Adam: 'I'm gonna be pretty hard on these'
also Adam, multiple times in this vid: this is great, this enclosure is amazing, this is one of the best [insert here] enclosures I've ever seen
@wickenswickedreptiles
Can you do a enclosure and care video for Ackie Monitors?
sure can!
OMG, that's my friend's fire belly toad enclosure! And yes, he only uses real plants, hahaha. He does actually have tiny fish in there too. So happy he got his enclosure featured. He's got a passion for tank set ups and has several great ones.
Is your friend by chance named Ryan Woods
@@Leosloth2011 yeah, that's one of his aliases
Beautiful enclosures overall!! You can tell people put work into them. Also, I love the concept and I would LOVE a part 2.
Awesome! Thank you!
Are you by chance, in aquatica? 😂
YEAH BABY THAT'S WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
hope you like it1
The garter snake enclosure is exactly what I wanted to do a few months ago! I love the idea of a partially aquatic tank for them.
It’s so great eh!
I’m so glad you did this video! I’ve wanted something like this for a while please make this a series
I agree. will get way more submissions after this video gets views
Love the positivity! And I always appreciate that you offer suggestions for improvements instead of just harping on about what you dislike. Attitudes like that really help others in the hobby learn and strengthen the reptile community as a whole 💜
Weve all been waiting for this and you didnt disappoint, great video!
Thanks for watching!
this has made me so excited for when i start keeping reptiles! decorating the enclosure seems so fun
It really is!
This is such a great way to interact with your audience, and I love set up reviews so much! I can see this being a series on the channel :)
i like those videos. it gives me motivation and inspiration to improme my enclosures.
my plants are still mad at me because of the move but as soon as they start growing again and look a bit better i will send in my daygecko enclosure too.
That's awesome!
Yessss I have been waiting for this one
woooooooo
awesome video adam
Glad you enjoyed it
I love your vids and I was wondering if your going to the reptile expose in California
maybe one day :)
The fire belly toad and garter snake enclosures blew it out of the water (pun intended). The cork bark acting as tree trunks is genius.
Hey Adam! The crested gecko enclosure is mine, some info on the points of confusion. The enclosure is screen, but has a tarp attached with magnets for humidity, the size is actually 120 gallon or 2x2x4(Ft) the plants are a mixture of real and fake to fill out the space as the real ones to grow out. I have a substrate bucket containing plants in bioactive soil, the remaining floor space has sphagmum moss for extra humidity
That is awesome!!!
Wow this was cool! Would love a part 2! A lot of those enclosures looked great!
Very informative and would love a part two!
Deal!
@@WickensWickedReptiles and don't be afraid to be harsh! Roast them if they are roastworthy! or just make fun of the aesthetic choices, cause thats all subjective right.
I mean, this time all the enclosures ranged from "pretty good" to "beautiful" .. not really much to roast in that lot. try and throw in some that are "questionable" for teaching moments, and some that are downright ridiculous for laughing moments.
honestly these "rate/roast my x" do really well on most of the channels I see, and jebus knows reptile peeps ALWAYS want to show off their enclosures.
I'm all for a series of these, doesn't have to be regular but when you get enough good submissions (and you will) then why not?
vibing with the animated intros
Glad you like em
I loved this it gives me tons of ideas on how to set some of my enclosures up and let's me know that I'm on the right track
I have been so busy planning, building and setting up enclosures that I missed out...lol. Maybe next time!
We will do a part II
Adam this was a great idea and video. Flawless execution 💎
Love this! It’s so great to see different ideas on how to create an amazing enclosure for your pet!
Great meeting you in Toronto this weekend! I’m a handy guy with a table saw. Do people ever make diy enclosures from pvc? Is there a special herp friendly pvc? Where do people source the pvc if this is a thing? Thanks in advance.
I know you can get PVC sheets from home improvement stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. I'm pretty sure any pvc is okay to use, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, pvc comes in different thicknesses so be sure you research which would be best for your animal. 🤘🏻☺️
You can totally DIY a PVC. These PVC enclosures you see are just a little fancier as they may have been CNC for holes. It is expanded PVC (Think like a dense foam). I'm not aware of it being any special kind of PVC for pets. They use this stuff for signs.
yes, you just have to be kinda careful with heat elements cause it will melt. but usually if you go PVC its cause you're making a large enclosure so its not such an issue
This is so cool i might use some of your criticism of the enclosures in the video and improve my own teptiles enclosure
hope it helps!
Adam always coming with the best content 🔥
wow these enclosures are absolutely stunning. Id love to see a part 2 if you have time👍
THAT INTRO. Damn havent watched in awhile but that was the coolest intro I've ever seen. 14/10
Such cool tanks!!! I love the fire bellied toads tank! Definitely doing something like that for my FBT ! I’ll get my dessert tank for my kingsnake ready for the next video 😂
nice!
@@WickensWickedReptiles Definitely would love to see more!!
Yo! I didn't get the memo! Where do we submit? I put so many hours of work in my WTM enclosure!
Hey! You can submit your enclosures via discord! Here's the link to the server!

I love this plz make more vids. I got my first reptile today a leopard gecko and I watched so many of your vids to get everything right . Thankyou
Love this type of content, Adam. Thanks! :) I think Diamond just wanted to get a better look at the enclosures to give you some ideas for his? ;)
I really enjoyed this video! gave me lots of ideas for my future bioactive build!
I personall love vivariums with different species have a great day have a cool day have a super day wicked wickens reptile
same!!!
Man I’m bummed I missed the memo. I would’ve loved for your opinion on my Milk snake’s enclosure
drop your photo in the discord channel :)
I will make a discord profile for the sole purpose of following you sir!
A very interesting enclosure that has always stuck out in my mind is that of The Dark Den's chameleon, Felix. Its an example of a free range chameleon enclosure, essentially a house tree with lighting and the other stuff, just lacking walls. I wouldn't be trusting enough for a free range enclosure but I do think its really cool.
Was that fire bellt toad encloser from serpadesign?
Part 2
Yaaaa
Great vid!
Good evening Adam I hope you had a great weekend nice vlog today
Thanks, you too!
That’s a cool new intro!!
I got a sick terrarium for my Crested Gecko, Little G. I modified an Exo terra 36x24x36. Next time I am entering mine in! I got Snow Queen Pothos, Queens Tear Bromeliads, Janet Craig Dracaena, Peperomias and Radiator Plants. Also some large Tillandsia. I cork titled the back and used coconut husk and tree fern on the sides and a large piece of wood adhered across the sides with plant pots for the various plants. It is also bio-active, so I got some Powder Orange Isopods in there too :D
This I great !! I definitely would like to see more and curious what you would think of my beardie enclosure
Grate as usual!
Glad you think so!
Hey Adam thanks for reviewing my skinks enclosure! That was from when I first set it up I’m gonna send another one of it now a year later for the next video! What do you suggest for climbing? I find it hard to fit more stuff in there without spray foaming the sides? Regardless thank you it means a lot and thank you for getting me into reptiles!
Waiting for one of these videos.
Love your channel! I have ball pythons now. My 8 yr old daughter is obsessed with them and has been begging for a snake of her own.
I would love to see a video on animals best suited for kids (with parental oversight).
I'm so glad!
What program do you use to edit your videos?
Hi, editor here! I use Final Cut Pro X! Have a great day!
Im thinking of getting a madagascar giant day gecko.... any videos on those? :)
ruclips.net/video/ozAPxH-GdeE/видео.html
This was a great video and your description of a green tree frog (Pacha chef kissing) was perfect. I would love show of the creations I made for my kids snakes but don't know if I could take the judgement hahaha. Keep the awesome work love videos love your channel
Credit where credits due GoHerping did this first but its a great series idea to use I'd love to see you do even more.
absolutely, might even add that to the description, This is not an original idea
That fire belly toad enclosure ❤ 😍
Right!
The owner is a friend of mine!
If this becomes a series I would love this so much
So many great enclosures! Adam didn’t like the aesthetics of the last one, but I did! I think the “deconstructed” flower pot is a cute idea executed well - especially for a species that is known for destroying plants. Maybe a background would help, but overall I think it’s fun!
I really enjoyed this video.
Thanks!!!
Enclosure wise, the uk usually has melamine (sealed wood) or glass, with the glass being insanely expensive and often collection only, which makes it less accessible. PVC isn’t as available/if at all, from what I’ve seen its £600+ for a 4x2x2 pvc as opposed to £200 for a melamine equivalent. Plus, it can get incredibly cold suddenly so the melamine vivs conserve the heat much more efficiently than glass, so maybe the second enclosure is in a similar environment? I have a melamine viv for my ball python and am looking to upgrade her to a pvc with uvb (she’s a rehome) once she’s settled in edit:spelling
You can’t make this enclosure any better it’s damn near perfect 8/10
Not gonna lie,
That shirt is very nice
thanks!
Another great video! Love this content. I recently upgraded my Schneider's Skink to a larger enclosure. I would love some advice for enrichment from anyone. He LOVES to climb and to be as high up as he can. Being a skink he has the little legs and will fall. I have a few hides that he can climb as well as a guinea pig wheel that he loves to run in and tries (and fails - poor guy) to climb on.
Cork bark/wood, branches, rocks, ledges, hammocks, etc.
Garter snake enclosure for sure
it's great!
Enclosure videos…could do several of these Adam. Enjoyable thank you! ❤❤
I might have already commented this on another video Im not sure, if so I apologize. Would you say an 8x5x6 enclosure with a 250 gallon plastic khoi pond, and uvb/uva, and about 10 inches of substrate is good for a mangrove monitor/quince monitor? If it is not adequate, do you have recommendations? It is a huge enclosure, lots of options. I am searching an arboreal and water loving reptile.
One of my fav videos ever.😂
hope you loved it!
YES MORE OF THESE!! I’d love to submits my enclosure😂😂😂😂
i would love a part 2 to this

Aweee man how did I miss this one😂😂🤙🏻 great video like always man. And not gonna lie I like when you're negative and judging things😂 you speak your mind with no fear and that's what we need more of nowadays
Great video! I liked seeing all the enclosures, I was hoping you would show mine ( I was the first picture in the discord) I hope I’m in the next one because I want to make it look better😁
I could do a part II if this video does well!
This needs to be a series 🙌
Thanks for this video, but love all the videos you do. I would have to say the ball python had a pretty dope enclosure, lol.
Thanks for watching!
Can you do a kingsnake care guide plz 😅
I’d love to see more! Next time dart frogs, dumpy frogs and beardies please!!
Gotta say I like function over form myself. I don't mind fake plants either, though I do keep mostly snakes lol. My gecko is even on unprinted newspaper for safety haha. (And slate, rock, etc)
well said!
A leopard gecko I’m guessing? I highly recommend switching to a suitable loose substrate such as a soil/playsand or soil/sand/clay mix, digging enrichment is very beneficial for them :)
I feel like I could do more in my bearded dragon enclosure, but I also worry about making it too crowded
give it a try
garter snake n b
python enclosure beautiful. my faves
Aw man mine didn't get featured but this was a very good video I enjoyed it and yes for a part Two!
Love the intro
I kind of wanted your thoughts on my current enclosure for Beto, my bearded dragon. It will remain his enclosure for another month or two, until I finish his new 4'x2'x2' ... 😁
The fire bellied toad one looks like a serpa design build
Love your show
Great video would like to see more.
Fire belly one was cool. I want some but don’t really want to get into aquatics. Maybe I’ll submit my leopard gecko enclosure or one of my tarantulas for the next one.
Can I submit my VBB enclosure for the next round?
yep, discord is open!
Damn really nice intro!
Would love to send in my tanks. Is it on the discord?
yep!
Could you do a video on rain frogs please
You should make this like a monthly series like people submit submissions and see how it does
Part Two!!!
Wheres the discord info
In the description
You should do this again
Some of these were really really good looking, yet they kept me wondering - how do they pull out their snakes for handling sessions? I initially tried something like that with my corn, but it would make it so difficult to pull her out since she'd just grab something. To me it feels like if you want to take out the snake on a regular basis, function > aesthetics.
there are always drawbacks
