Fair, I know that’s why I address it openly.

Yes but please note that we don't export to the UK, and actively work with and support some UK companies that are advancing enclosure designs there. We are in no way competing with them.
Reptiles and Research does have a bigger following here in North America so this is where we benefit from a favorable review however, I must disagree with your biased statement as we do arguably manufacture products that are widely accepted as amoung the very best of the best.

I keep my plains hognose in there 3’x2’x2’ (mesh top) & I love it. I agree with you regarding the acrylic doors & I plan on going glass early next year. The only thing I had issue with was the wait time (took 3 months) but was so worth it in the long run.

Wooden enclosures you need to put epoxy on the inside, the wood will stay good and easy to clean.

Thanks for the honest review on these cages.👍 I was checking them out myself. I know they cost a lot for most beginner keepers, but once you experience quality, you can never go back to cheap enclosures.😁

Hey guys I was wondering if I could pick your brain. I'm building a 4x4x2 wood enclosure for my corn snake and I'm wondering what's the best option for ventilation: a mesh top, holes vents on other side, or hole vents on either side with a fans to push air? Thanks in advance for your response!

Any of those can work tbf

If you do fans, have them on top blowing up or near top on the side blowing out, so cool fresh air gets sucked in from down low

Hey Liam, what's the thickness of the PVC material? There's a couple of UK companies that make PVC enclosures. One of them uses 13mm material and the other 10mm. I prefer the look of the 10mm enclosures but am worried they'll be too thin. Cheers

We use high grade12mm for our all PVC designs and 7.5mm for our panels in our aluminum frame with PVC designs. As far as "too thin", the insulation on the 7.5mm (1/4 inch) panels is more than adequate for holding heat (as per Liam's review) and with the commercial grade aluminum frame, is extremely strong and able to stack full bioactive setups to the roof. For the 12mm, we go thicker as the extra thickness is needed to support additional weight and to make that all PVC design structurally sound. If the 13mm and the 10mm there are the same grade of PVC, then both will insulate extremely well but the slightly thicker materials may be stronger, depending of course on the design.

They are really expensive though and if you have several snakes it's way way too pricey...

That's not accurate 😃 We do have a broad range of price points that are amongst the best in the industry. This is why we have grown into the largest manufacturer of high end USA made reptile enclosures in the business. Please see our complete range for details and you will find this to be true.
