You only need to get it to 4.7-5.0 on the Tach. Anything else is unnecessary and just putting wear on the engine. Straight from a few of the engineers I’m lucky to call friends that want to make sure this engine survives as long as possible.
Hey sir, So personally the only issue that I have encountered was an electric issue with the lighting in the back not working. Turned out to be a wire that found its way into the headliner clip which was easily fixed. Other than that, there hasn’t been any issues so far. Currently at 17,000 smiles on the odometer from getting it brand new with only 15 smiles.
(Regular way to do it) Put it into track Activate auto hold Slam it to the ground (Boost mode, as used in the video) Track mode Hold brakes firm SLOWLY bring your revs up When you feel the car want to move(like something is tugging the front end) you are close to your damage point. (Kind of felt this when the meter was showing 0PSI of boost but will research further when I get another time to get to a secluded area, that and a bit more dry) Release the brake and slam the gas to the floor.
@@jacksonkadlec5905 Indeed which is sad about the cars, but it’s AWD what can you do? :) also just asked if you could send me an email at nacadillacvclub@gmail.com with pictures of your rims and also your vin. @@nicholasjohnson6880 I never tried with auto hold but in the past I’ve had mine in track and did the gas and break technique but when I’d let go and gas the car just doesn’t move sort of like it turns off any tips you can give I’m still new to this car never driven anything like it so it takes some getting used to, and also what is boost mode never heard of it?
Boost mode is just the technique that you stated (where you hold the brake down and slowly build up the turbo PSI, then when the green hits just release the brake), nothing official on the car or anything. Personally I haven’t experience the car just going back to idle doing that method either.
Was wet, didn’t want to disable all catches if somehow a puddle came out of nowhere. Secondly, auto hold just holds the car in place after you come to a complete stop and remove your foot from the brake. However you can’t preload it if you do this though.
Yep, they are currently investigating it at the GM plant with the supplier. I’m working very closely with the overseeing manager of it. They have my rims in shipment.
It all depends on what you are looking for. While both of the cars are nice in there respective fields they are two completely different focuses. The CTS variant is more towards track usage and aggressiveness on the road, while the CT6 within its right keeps people on their toes as a massive sleeper. The main difference is you will get more luxury out of the CT6 in my opinion because of its size, and added that it’s a limited edition it’s price should skyrocket in a couple of years just like the wagons. Meanwhile the CTS-V was widely available for quite a few years. Track wise the CTS-V is going to last just a bit longer than the CT6-V as it’s a proper track car comparing brakes and what not. AWD will not have launch control so you will have to do it manually like I did here to get it started. Personally I like the look and feel to the CT6-V just a tad more than the CTS-V. Only negative that I have encountered(which is being fixed by cadillac) is the rims are peeling slightly.
Thanks. I have been waiting for this car since they announced it back in Mar of 18 and have gone through everything thoroughly with the vehicle. It’s my pride and joy
Short shifts like crazy! Lol still quick!
Got a lot of gears to get through! But the good thing is the max torque is achieved quick as well, so it doesn’t have to stay in a gear long though.
You are the man bro! This is amazing!
Anytime. Let you me know if you need anything else

I’m confident when going to the redline you’ll definitely get a lil more than Cadillacs posted 3.8

They seem to be going for fair prices right now.

What is the best launch technique for the CT6V?
(Regular way to do it)
Put it into track
Activate auto hold
Slam it to the ground
(Boost mode, as used in the video)
Track mode
Hold brakes firm
SLOWLY bring your revs up
When you feel the car want to move(like something is tugging the front end) you are close to your damage point.

I have tried the boost launch, kinda, still has some lag, and figured it is not healthy for the drivetrain. Never tried auto hold, but I will.
Thanks!

I agree 100%, after owning both also. CT6V is more comfortable, rides better, and rare. My wheels are also peeling, may just black them out.
@@jacksonkadlec5905 That is currently being handled. Can you please send me an email with pictures of your peeling? I want to get this up to the reps.
This can be done way quicker and in launch mode and letting it rev out all the way
There was no launch mode for the CT6-V
Were you manually short shifting?
I was yes.
