5 euros for an IR made with top of the line equipment, by a guy that has an absoultely crushing tone on all of his albums. Others would charge closer to 50 for this. Thank you Ola.
Oooh, an IR of that Marshall w/greenbacks would be so sick. Adding in the room mics you use in the “in the room series” would also be sick. I can’t really find more “unusual” micing techniques in the IR world

Ola has such a great collection of amps and cabs for heavy music. This could be really nice for people on a budget to get some of these tones.

If you're looking for unusual try ugritone. They have a lot of crusty and weird cabs to try as well as classic 90s and 2000s cabs
Tip for the Fractal Audio users, don't forget to turn off the poweramp-switch in the amp block (section poweramp), otherwise you get the sound of two poweramps in serial, that sounds boomy and weird. I'm not sure what to do with the Impulse Response Curve setting in the amp block, set it to Mesa Oversized or resistive load? @Ola thanks a lot for offering this, it sounds and feels great and the price is really fair!
I'm so glad I read this comment. I liked the IR but it always sounded to boomy and would sometimes cause clipping. Turned off the power amp modeling and it sounds amazing. Thanks!
Got the "ONE" impulse and it actually sounds amazing, such a full sound compared to others I've tried, I usually just stick to NeuralDSP options when using their products, but this one really works for me, thank you for creating it!
Thank you for the simplicity! I hate the whole option paralysis that comes with many IR packs. Yours is perfect: Here's one mic. Here's the other. Here's the two together. Pick which you like the best!

Nice one, man! It's really fun collecting impulse responses and searching out the environments for it (one of the main "off screen activities" besides foley farming), even based on physical changes like weather, temperature and humidity considering the different density values affecting the frequency movement. Had a pretty fun time years ago when DICE was doing their field recordings for Battlefield on the shooting ranges outside town (Hammars Backar, Österlen), capturing some of their rifle sounds reflecting over the open fields. Would have loved doing it all over again, just close up.
I bought it to load it into Archetype Gojira... It is amazing !!! The tone I get is very good I love it :D Thanks for that !

How does it play with the Archetype Gojira?
Been using some of Ola's impluses for nearly a year and can say I find them great. I use Fortin NTS, nameless, plini and always find his impluses better than what comes with these.
TBH I don't do much recording, but his IR's are my go-to when I do and I am never disappointed with the results.
@@ERWebster hey man, to your credit IRs are a HUGE part of tone. I bought Ggd Zilla cabs just to practice because good tone is simply motivating.

Wow what can I say, I have the Fortin NTS Suite from neural dsp and using this IR I sound just like Ola! Well as close as I can do anyway.

I would totally pay for an Impulse response of the RGT100ES with those sweet jaguar speakers. It would be perfect to use with the line out of my own 100ES since I can't easily mic it up where I live.
tried abunch of IRs through the years, always loved yours man some of the best I used.

In your helix, do you use the full amp sim or just the pre amp sim?
@@chrisparker5278 Not sure exactly what you mean. Everything in the Helix is a "sim". Do you mean something else by any chance?
Have to say, theses IR's are awesome, exactly what i was looking for. You can get swammped by the amount some companies give you to choose from. Not with these, you get 3 awesome sounding IR's nice and simple!! Cheers Ola!

Bought it yesterday and just had the chance to test it. I started with the mic mix with 6505 amp, and really loving it so far. Full sound, not sure how to describe it, a bit darker than other mesa irs but in a good way. Next test is through JVM410! Thanks \m/

I use it with Pod hd500 and Mooer Radar, and with the Engl sim, sounds killer! Very good IR to bring back to life mi old Pod.

Works with Overloud TH-U too, never used any impulse responses in it before other than the SuperCab thingies sold by THU.

Use the OC18! There are no IRs out there with that mic and it sounds great

I can’t remember where I saw it (maybe a video of Andrew Wade…?), but they used white or pink noise instead of that sine wave sweep and they swore it gave a better representation
Edit: I think they ran a sample’s length of white noise through the cab or something like that. Idk, have no idea how to make impulses

Hi there, and wow, what an awesome Impulse Response, ive tried so much with my PodGo and Tonex big and famous Packs with hundreds of IRs, also other Mesa OS Cab IRs, but the One sounds different than the most others, because of the big Bad Low End, it has much more Low End than all IRs I got.
How could this be so much more Low End vs all the other Mesa OS IRs?

I only wonder if there might be some phase issues with the blended IR, because the audible difference of the blend to each the individual mics is far greater than between those mics themselves. If that makes any sense to you. Thinking about buying anyway, because non the less the sounds are great, no matter if there are issues or not.
Phase issues can be a good thing to sculpt your tone. But these shouldn’t phase out too much since they’re close micd
@@OlaEnglund Oh yeah, like everything else, phasing can be a tool, like in the Fredman technique. That's what I wanted to say (even though I didn't) with the last part of my statement.

50 tons of woof bass and when they were mixed it adds 50 layers of drywall phase cancellation.
Professional cabinet/speaker IR's sound different! If a SM57 capture sounds as bassy as usual onyl a R121 does, something went wrong during capturing...
Just got it - gonna give it a try this evening on the good ol' FM3. Good idea with making a move on IRs. Any chance you'd do an ENGL 212? Barely any decent IRs of it out there.
I just got it but for may HX Stomp, but SM57 and TLM102 are muted. any ideas?
@@piresrobson probably using the wrong sample rate.
Do you have to turn off the power amp simulation in the amp block?(as the ir also contains the power amp section)

I’m gonna learn this stuff, I don’t even know what an impulse response is? I want to do a recording so bad I have no idea what I’m doing with the digital new stuff but I can work on task cam for eight track recorder like the back of my head and make it sound awesome
