Ole Sykes starts his Solo Tapping Hammer ON n Off very EVH, 2-3 years later John Perfected Crying in the Rain in the Studio and still to this day every song on 87 Album still Kicks Ass
Whitesnake has had so many guitarists that did this song live. The original from Bernie Marsden had a blues sound to it. John Sykes gave it the metal sound and plays it like he owns it. I felt Doug Aldridge and Reb Beach did nice renditions (and others) of this song as well.
Jeez, that snare sounds like a biscuit tin. Apart from that, all good, especially Sykes. Watch him in his new band Blue Murder, doing Billy on the Big Al Show, after Whitesnake. Awesome.
If only Coverdale and Sykes could have worked it out and made another album like 1987......sadly the record company seemed to have wanted MTV-friendlier music or that is what I heard some people say once. Of course there were tensions between the two, but maybe that was because of that issue too?
John Sykes legendary guitarrist
John is such a great guitar player!!
best Whitesnake line up by far.
Some of the rock greats - Coverdale, John Sykes &a Cozy. Thanks for the memories.🎸🎸🎸
I can only imagine what Sykes and Coverdale would have done if they had stayed together.
John Sykes he's the beast of Rock n Roll!

It is in the Top 5 heavy rock albums of the 80's.
John Is No Doubt The Best he's a Monster
John Sykes is the best ever when it is all said and done he will be the best he is that good
jim lewis so underrated and I hate using that term
@@garybird1165 He's not underrated. He's unfairly obscure.

My favorite line up of all time

This formation of the band was the best era of WS with no doubt.
Cozy God bless you. You're in my heart.
Best of Supergroup 🤘💝🔥 Coverdale, Sykes,Powell, Murray,Airey
Cozy and John Sykrs are amazing 🤩
just when i was thinking everything is ok in 2016 i come across this gem. 80"s Rock on!
The Rock in Rio version of this song from 1985 features an even better solo section from Sykes.
Jeez, that snare sounds like a biscuit tin. Apart from that, all good, especially Sykes. Watch him in his new band Blue Murder, doing Billy on the Big Al Show, after Whitesnake. Awesome.
White snakes is the best band ever 😍 every day watching David voice is really fantastic 💓 love yah
Whitesnake forever!!!!
I prefer the days on this video when Coverdale was just a local singer before he became a rock star in the States.

Incredible high off-tone vocal notes at the end...!!!
Cozy-awesome!
Cozy Powell, GOAT!

It's funk rock and roll very very good man \0/

If she don't like you she will not fight with you
Oh david this is when it was pure....ahhhh but the money....or could there have been both???
Jon Lord must have been in this lineup, right? They didn't even show him.
He had gone back to DP , to do the Perfect Strangers album , and reunion tour in 84 .
Unless I've missed something this is not '84. This album was released in '86 maybe 87'
Roger Braswell Jr. this song was on Saints and Sinners just like Here I Go Again about 81
@@garybird1165 I guess I did miss something. Thx for keeping me str8
I hate the way he did the band before releasing this in '86
Roger Braswell Jr. David was probably unhappy with the original version.
@@gabrielbrouwer ya so unhappy, his band was sooo kick ass and made him look untalented,so he fired them all. 🙄
Cozy had such a good pocket
COZY
John sykes virtuoso
Sounded like a bit of a strange mix to me but each to their own.
If she likes the guy she usually gets in a fight with him
The truth
Hey John, David is gonna fire you in about 2 years. Heads up...
Actually heads up whole band....David booted them all...
Cozy left around 85 and hired Aynsley Dunbar
Start jaming
u mean Stratocaster
Terrible mix from the Japanese was a suprise; keyboards too loud, that snare tone, vocals too low, guitar too low. Great performance from Sykes.
Coverdale can't sing in tune live. Unfortunate.
sad
This song must be a rip off from Toto's song "Hold the line"
John Sykes...
