I swear to god, Tommy will be 95 and still rocking out like he's 20.
My fellow metal head, I work in a deli in a small town in California. One day Tommy walked in, didn't realize it the drum god himself in front of me, my bad but i knew his face for some where. I asked a co worker does he remind u of someone and thats when i found out it was him.... Honest to god i see him every week for his sandwich meats and cheese
One of the wildest and most energetic drum solos I've ever seen. Tommy Aldridge is a machine .
in his 50s !!!!!!!
73 now, and hasn’t lost a thing! Still one of the best!!!
70 years old and still Kicking Ass! Tommy Aldridge is One of the Best of All Time🐍
YES !! YES !! YES !! TOMMY ALDRIDGE THE ROCK DRUMMER IN THIS TIME AND FOREVER.
Cleanest cymbal chokes your gonna find!!!!
Absolutely 1 of my favorite whitsnake songs. I know Tommy is the focus but damn Doug is a beast on that 6 string.
One of the most underrated of all time!
His power stance during that solo was also peak performance!
That’s how you play drums in a rock and roll band!!!! Go Tommy!!!
Wow!! Tommy is just a monster HOWEVER, Ive never heard David Coverdale sound so good!! MANNN hes on
Tomy Aldrige a master, a legend, a legacy.
Any relation to Tommy Aldridge?
@@bangosdemangos416 How is your question relevant?
I bought Tommy'a Hotlicks video (yes a VHS!) when I was about 19 years old in the 80's. I loved it, but never did I think that 35 years later (now in my 50's) that I would be still worshipping this incredible drummer. Finally got to see him live in London in 2022. Total bucket-list job.
One of THE best rock drummers EVER!
I agree 100%
Damn right!!
Duh
No THE best rock drummer alive
Tommy has been a huge influence on my style of drumming since i first saw Him with Oz in 1982 live with Gillis (just missed St. Rhoads by 6 months).. After seeing this performance! I'm AGAIN convinced He's One badass Slammin drummer ever to take a stage.. God bless U Tommy
Love how Doug played within the original framework of the Sykes solo. He knows perfection when he sees it
One of THE greatest drummers in rock history...Tommy Aldridge!!!
Say what you want about Coverdale, but he was a genius for surrounding himself and picking the best talent available for each era of Whitesnake...and Aldridge arguably the best rock drummer ever- pure power and so solid...just amazing
Tommy Aldridge is a human time machine and will always be untouchable
that's right!!!! i read an earlier post saying he's one of the best drummers of all time,,no he isn't!! he is the best(GOAT) of all time!!people don't understand ,,there's no second or third or fourth best.either your the best or not!! he's the best i've heard! if you have someone you think can do better than him..i'd like to hear it!! GOOD LUCK WITH THAT,,HA,HA,HAAAAA!!!!! GO TOMMY!!!!!!!
Tommy is a monster!!!! The energy...!!!
and his not a young man anymore, but you would tell by listening to this solo
Tommy Aldridge is amazing !!!!
What a performance! What a guitar solo! What a drum solo! Beasts on stage!
Saw them in 87 with Great White...Tommy is da shit!...🤘🏼
Insane Tommy you rock!!!!
The band sounds great. Tommy has always been a great drummer.
Such a killer band...and what a drummer.
Unbearably good...
Tommy Aldridge is my favorite drummer of all time he is so talented and has so much power WOW !
Jackson, Mississippi in the house♥️💯
Hard to believe the guy is 69 here
@@mikeloomis2091 "Inconceivable!" ... ^v^
These snare hits are like gun shots.. Hell yeah Tommy
Killer song...insane drums....very cool...
He has cut his solo duration by half these days which is fully understandable when you are 69 years old. He is still a machine, in fact I think Tommy is the real Highlander, he seems immortal...
Machine....exactly...
I'm sure doing half his solo with his bare hands has started to take its toll but the man is a rolling freight train for sure,,a machine since the Black Oak Arkansas days
@@ludwigguy380 A few days ago, I watched a new video of him soloing, and was surprised to see him still beating the shit out of his kit bare handed. I'm 10 years his junior, and sometimes my hands hurt just fluffing up my pillow. The man's a beast. Gotta love him.
@@162534283746 He is a beast absolutely..he beats his drums like they owe him money! I'm right behind you in age and my hands hurt just watching his solos
I saw him multiple times with Pat Travers...they were great...Mars Cowling and Tommy were so tight. enough said
So much energy in his body
I don't know how Tommy does what he does he is a machine .
My speakers just exploded from sheer awesomeness.
Just WOW! Incredible drum and guitar solos! Fantastic vocal, as always! White Snake is fantastic band.
70 years old. And still has power.
Keeping the Sykes style and tone alive. Doug is a beast and Tommy is an eternal drum machine in his 70's. Incredibel
A song I listened to 10 000 times when I was seventeen and it was released. Heavy and groovy at the same time. And even if I am more into Slayer and other more obscure death metal bands this fucking rock so much🔥
10 001- i sing that along while i am work..
Aos 70 anos Tommy Aldridge ai ainda é o METAL GOD da bateria.
Two words........Tommy Aldrige!! Whitesnake is on fire here. Coverdale got's some lungs. Awesome band.
The amazing thing to me is. I remember listening the Whitesnake as a kid in the mid 80’s to the early 90’s! He was a badass drummer then! He has got to be pushing 70 by now. He has lost nothing and is as badass now as then!! This shit kicks ass makes me want to grow my hair back out and find me another Whitesnake T-shirt live that life again
He’s a anomaly it’s amazing
Holding up the Cross of Christ 🙏. Thanks Tommy ❤
That's what's called giving it 110% on that drum solo!!!
Whitesnake. Love them. Their gift for performance and execution of rock music is incredible. I love you Tommy, God bless you. My favourite drummer in the WHOLE world. 🐉WHITESNAKE🐉God bless you all and forever.
Great Drummer 70 years old Coverdale is 65 Both sound amazing
Doug Aldrich is a beast 🤘💀🤘
Never get tired of watching him...Amazing drummer...
The dude's an animal! Great song! great drum solo!
Simply the most Amazing heavy rock drummer alive today. To still be able to play at that intensity level at almost 70 years old is breathtaking.
You forgot that Neil Peart still alive
@@BonhamPlayer Yes, but he is no longer playing. But, also an incredible drummer. I loved Rushs' late 70's and early 80's stuff. I always thought that his drums sounded the best when he was playing Tama. The Signals album is my favorite.
TA is 55 in this video-still amazing-people relax this is 2004; He is 69 in 2020
@@shanegriffin2215 I play everyday…not that it’s any of your biz.
The epitome of a polished routine. Love me some whitesnake !
This whole song is awesome.
I saw Tommy play with Pat Travers in the late 70's. Blew me away!
yep, Snortin Whiskey tour
Heat in the Street!🔥
Two words for WS.... NEVER OLD.. AWESOME...
That's 3 words, genius.
@@Hellwyck
No.. genius for Deep Purple
Holy smokes-- this entire video is absolutely amazing!!!!! Good God!!!!!!!!!!
You know this was done professionally right?
Those internal mikes really do a good job. Tommy always the kick ass.
I was noticing his tom sound during the solo, but hadn't looked for mikes. Yeah, his kid sounds great, and Tommy's a beast.
I've seen a lot of bands and this guy will forever be my favorite.
Incredible stamina for being 70 absolute legend will never be duplicated 🥁🥁🥁
I was 20 years old when this music came out. New WHITESNAKE and I was a goner, they became a fast friend !!!
Tommy Aldridge is one of the main pioneers of the double bass drum rock drummers!!!
Damn! I was not expecting the footage to be that awesome. That's a pretty amazing guitar playing and drumming. Makes me wish that I could have been old enough to see a concert like this at the time.
Tommy Aldridge was 54 Years Old at The Time of this Concert!!!,This Guy is Right Up There With The Greatest Live Rock Drummers of All Time!!!!,and To this Day,at Almost 73 He's Still Beating The Skins Like No Other!!!!,Rock On Tommy!!!!!
Fuck.....how good does David Coverdale sound?
Yeah Vince Neil needs to take lessons from him.
That's not what he sounded like when they played this live. They rerecorded the vocals back at the studio and swapped out the live recorded vocals to make this video.
Voice is recorded in studio, it's not the live version of his voice :)
@@internettoughguy I dunno, I was at Hammersmith that night and he didn't sound bad at all..
Playing heavy metal in a blues feel...thank you!
Best song Whitesnake has every written. Awesome vid.
What’s so amazing about Tommy is the shear number of bands he has played in. And all truly amazing Rock Bands. One of the best and his yrs playing is vast.
Thanks for changing the camera angles 20 times per second!!!
That.. exactly that
Arnt you a whining complaining little bitch
@@paulthesoundguy1 I agree 100%. If you had half a brain, you would notice, but you must be out to lunch.
Yep, for some unknown reason some idiotic video editor started doing this and then, for some unknown reason, many more video editors followed suit and became idiots. If you asked 1000 people if they liked this idiotic (and completely pointless) editing habit, 990 would say no, 5 would say yes, and 5 would say I don't know (10 idiots). Haha
@@joestrummer9507 my pet peeve is live audio with screaming crowds edited in THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SONG.
eg KISS. Cinderella.
Tommy Aldridge has got to be one of the most under-appreciated and under-rated drummers out there.
You hang out with the wrong crowd; Aldridge is appreciated as fuck. He's a legend. I realize that the only people who give him credit are rockers, but his discography is almost exclusively rock and roll, so it's no surprise that he has a somewhat limited fan base. That's been his choice. To rockers, Tommy Aldridge is fucking appreciated.
Actually, I think he's overrated
@@RockbertoRocks I think you're going to hell for that
@@162534283746 unless you get deeper into discussion with people that know music in general he's not really brought up all that often. People with surface knowledge, basically consumer knowledge, really have no clue who he is.
@@fritzcolburn True. I guess I should have said that among people I'd care to have more than one, brief, conversation with about music, he's appreciated.
БЕСПОДОБНО!!! Вот это Уровень всех без исключения музыкантов! Величайшая группа на все времена!!!
Yes👍👍👍
Whitesnake the super group band
Legend. God bless him.
Hands down to Doug ...Ive known hm for years ans is such a great person and musician. My brother always
I've seen them a few times over the years And he has been amazing every time I've seen him
"TOMMY ALDRIDGE ON THE DRUUUUUMMMMSSSS!!!!"
THE MAN IS POSSESSED!!!! ❤️🤟❤️
Same stuff he’s been doing for 100 years.....and I would STILL pay to see him. One of the greatest dbl bass players of all time, the guy always shows up to play...HARD!! Love this Whitesnake line up....Coverdale can still get after it.
I lost 6 pounds just watching.
Saw Whitsnake live yesterday in Oberhausen, part of The Farewell Tour. Goosebumps. They dont make this kind of music any more. Still it's timeless and heartwarming.
When you combine talent, dedication, opportunity, and resources, there are no limits!
Tommy, after all these years you are still a powerhouse!!! How do you do it???
I saw Tommy when he was playing for Ted Nugent and they opened up for KISS. He was using that same kit. I have seen him with so many band and he has rocked in them all. Black Oak, Pat Travers, Ozzy Ozbourn, Whitesnake, even saw him with Gary Moore. He gives his all every night!
Tommy Aldridge: totally phenomenal drumming!! An absolute joy to listen to!!
Good Lord, Tommy Aldridge was the quintessential arena rock drummer. Still is, last I’ve heard. The guy must be in his seventies and is banging and bashing his drum kit with full abandon. He expends a staggering amount of energy on every gig, yet his performances are always world class and his technique remains solid. No bummer notes coming from him. Same thing can be said of Reb Beach. I had the good fortune to meet Reb when my band opened for Winger at Mystique Casino in Dubuque, Iowa in 2018. Reb is simply amazing. His solo on “Headed For A Heartbreak” was absolutely perfect, essentially note for note from the original recording. Not a wasted sound from him, or anyone else in the band for that matter. Winger sounded as though they were at the top of their game, firing on all cylinders for the duration. And they were still gracious enough to spend some time with me and my band mates before and after their set. I was starstruck when Rod Morgenstein took the time to hang out with me and shoot the breeze about drums, and allowed me to gush for a bit about how he had influenced my drumming over the years. He even signed my snare drum head and took a photo with me. But, I digress….Whitesnake was unstoppable and untoppable throughout the 1980s. They were the biggest, baddest Top 40 metal band on planet earth, no question about it. Guys like Reb Beach and Tommy Aldridge helped to make their live performances become legendary. Much respect to all of them.👍
Have to put Tommy in the top 5 drummers of all time, seen Tommy with BOA way back in the day and with Ozzy. Love it when he would play his solo with out the sticks and play with his bare-hands 👍
Wow! Tommy is a beast. David sounds great. Aldrich shreds. What a fantastic band.
Incredible to be at the top of your game for decades, Tommy Aldridge amazing!
Blessed to still have his voice! Good job.
😎👍🇺🇸🥁 TOMMY!!!
I miss the Carbon fiber kit bro!
Think about it, Tommy has been the driving force behind a lot of major rock bands. He is one of a kind and a rock legend. Keep Rockin Tommy!
Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, and Gary Moore. Great resume.
@@davidnissim589 unbelievable resume!
Oh thank you! Tommy Aldridge his the one !
Tommy is giving a demonstration of how much dedication and hard work it is to be in a top notch hard rock band. He is the best hard rock drummer alive right now and one can see why when they witness a performance like this !!!!!!!!!!!!
sick drum solo and amazing vocals
Saw this solo with the Motley Crue / Whitesnake tour in 1986 and it's just as powerful and as good as it was back then. Tommy's just incredible.
Whitesnake was on fire on that tour, blew Motley away
Drummers and bass guitars have always been the meat and potatoes of the band long live rock
amazingstill amazing. pure energy and power
I wish I had this much passion for anything I do in my life
Tommy is a beast!
That's how it's done??? Nothing today can touch it ( TIME LESS!!) 80'S MUSIC???
Very nice. Fantastic.

One of my all time drum idols. This man is a legend.
Amazing solo and couse Tonny Aldridge
Its been a long time since I've watch Tommy's solo's and for an old school drummer he has still got what it takes to be great
One if not my favorite guitar solos!@!@ plus Tommy!!!!!@ yeah!!!
Saw Whitesnake live with Quiet Riot and Kick Axe. Awesome show. Tommy is an amazing drummer and I'm glad Reb had a chance to gain exposure after Winger.
Phenomenal performance by the Aldrige brothers.
@Tapani Erkkilä Really? The singer referred to the guitarist as his brother.
Holy duck!! What a legends ! That

Miss Coverdale in his prime. Greatest of all! Whole band killed it!
