I saw them in Toronto a few years back and they opened the concert with this version of Burn/ Stormbringer. Imagine the juice in the crowd after an opening such as this. Needless to say they blew the roof off the building!

By far the best band he ever had. Doug Aldrich is a monster and so is just about everybody else. Coverdale still had his voice then and he could sing songs, sadly unlike today. Really a treat and a pleasure to hear this band ....the best incarnation of whitesnake ever.

That energy level is absolutly incredible, and the musicianship of the guys in the band can't be mistaken! I love the line up of Whitesnake with DA on guitars and Marco Mendoza on bass guitar. What an inspiration to start a band and kick ass!
Much respect to the keybopard player to keep the organ solo so close to the original. This is probably one of the best Hammond solos ever so it's real nice it didn't get butchered.

he was in deep Purple for over almost 3 years (mid 1973-early 1976), released and co-wrote all songs on 3 studio-albums, including this one which he co-wrote with Ritchie Blackmore. Im just saying he was a fulltime member of the band AND wrote the song, so calling it a cover is a stretch :) (i understand that its because whitesnake didnt release the song, but still..facts are facts kinda thing)

I saw Whitesnake 2 summers ago live, and while Whitesnake have a lot of great songs, this song was their top performance at that gig! It was Awesome! And from my recolection, Coverdale co-wrote Burn, since he was in DP at the time. So I am not sure this is a "cover"... It is a Coverdale though! ;)
I remember a very young David singing these same songs on stage with Deep Purple in 1975. The albums he did with Purple are very special to me. I simply love Mistreated on Made in Europe. Dio was a great singer, but only one man can sing this song.

Tommy Aldridge what a bad ass dude on a set of drums. Saw him almost 45 years ago with Black Oak Arkansas at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago played his drums with hands and in the end did it again and totally destroyed his set and that's the first time I had seen anything like that and the man only kept improving over the years. I don't think there is a drummer out there that consistently plays a drum kit as hard as him! He has been outstanding in every band that I have seen him in and were not going to see a lot more like him as the music scene has changed so much and we keep loosing great venues. Poplar Creeks long gone, Alpine Valley almost if not dead, Aragon no longer has good shows all the good music bars that bands started in are gone. Treasure these rockers while you can!
I worked this CD last year - the band rocked in every facet of both performance and promotion, Coverdale even doing dozens of phone interviews of support of it. Brilliant record and the band showed they still have it! What else could you ask for?

I was lucky enough to meet all of Whitesnake backstage at the Hammersmith Odeon in about 1979 when I was 15 and David Coverdale gave me one of his beers and was a top bloke as were the rest of the band at the time

I was lucky enough to meet all of Whitesnake backstage at the Hammersmith Odeon in about 1979 when I was 15 and David Coverdale gave me one of his beers and was a top bloke as were the rest of the band at the time
