Tommy Aldridge is the reason I started playing two bass drums after seeing him with Black Oak Arkansas on Don Kirshner in 1973 or 1974. Style, speed and technique. He is so powerful. His bare hands are conditioned similar to hard style Kung Fu masters. Inspiring.

I was blessed to get two tickets to the show I want to invite someone to come with me but unfortunately that person decided not to go the performance took place at the universal Amphitheater and Universal City California not too far from where I lived it was a great show if my memory serves correct it was Dokken who were the special guests Whitesnake and the Scorpions that show was explosive from beginning to end but it was both Whitesnake and the Scorpions who stole the show that night and yes I still have my ticket stub from that performance great memories

Tommy was 54 at the time of this recording (2004). Still, the man is an animal on the drums. Fierce to this day. An all time rock and roll great!
