The Af3 is so fun. So many ways to do things and so many things you can do. It is practically limitless. I like to mess with the pre and power tubes and adjust the power amp tube bias....just like the real deal and the results are identical. The first thing I do with a real amp is start tube rolling and bias adjusting. So cool you can do this on the AF3. Oh yeah, don't forget to adjust MV or gain on a NMV amp and then compensate with the Amp Block Level. There is a Wish on the wish list that some day Cliff will link those parameters (when MV goes up...Level goes down to keep the overall output the same)..will make it so much easier to hear what the amp is doing when you crank it up or not. Also, try adjusting the Negative feedback. Do all of these things and A/B and make another vid, lol! Seriously, you won't find a lot of vids on these topics and showing the difference. Although a lot of those differences are in the feel of the amp.
Great video Dave - it does sound great using the delay/mixer block! Two questions please: 1. You've got your cabs hard panned L/R and Stereo as the input mode - so when you go L/R out of the AXE to FOH into 2 channels, are those channels ALSO getting panned hard L/R or dead centre?? 2: Does that mean that the Mono Delay block set at 9ms stays on in all scenes, even when I go to my lead scene with a Stereo Delay used for the solo?
Thanks dude. 1. The signal is coming out of the Axe Fx in Stereo, but FOH will need to pan those 2 channels hard L/R in order to have that stereo mix heard. Otherwise they are running it in dual mono. I always ask them to, even if they look like they know what they’re doing… 2. I set my Mono Delay block to scene ignore so that it’s always stereo, even on my lead tone. You could have it turn off if you want the lead to be more centered. Either would work great. 🤘🏼
@DaveWebbMusic sorry one more question. If you have to play live in mono, do you just give FOH Left out of the AXE (if so, do you leave the unit in Stereo in the Audio settings) or have you got a mono preset? If mono, do you change the unit to Copy L/R? Thx again mate!
@@claudetoybox when you hit your solo patch , bring in the signal from the bass , pitch up an octave , add a guitar patch just enough so the energy does not leave the room

You’re spot on. I have a 2nd Mono preset and I change the unit to Copy L/R.
@DaveWebbMusic thx heaps!
