The Katana series amps are better viewed/regarded as a modeller/multi-effects unit instead of any conventional type amp in my observation and use from time to time using such, they get you (the player/user) into the ball-park zone only to a point, any decent modeller/multi type is better used when hooked properly with at minimum a good quality two-way cab instead...conventional guitar amps are largely a waste of time as the cab for a modeller, -any decent (preferable) 15'' 2 way p.a. cab or two will allow it to do it's thing much better...-you might as well carry a 15''x 2 way as your main puppy than drag around a 4x12 cab or two I reckon...it nails it every time, just use it like a conventional stage amp instead, then stand back and be amazed. ---your welcome!

excellent video Dave- explained the Beatbuddy control well. Seems like you have to be spot on with the stomp on the Looper to work properly.

Fuzz for some reasons sounds like the electric guitar after dueing a bathroom break after eating fast food. What a stomachache it must be along with whatever comes out. But it does sound nice in a few songs I think feom what I remember.

Dude. ... you're obviously talented.... I have a Boss GT6...which I purchased many many years ago. I'm considering a new multi effects pedal for home recording use only. This MX5 looks like a serious contender for me. Would you recommend such? I don't have my own computer so would need someone to do the update thing etc if required.

Great stuff! I like the sound of the mic, but the phones out isn't bad at all. USB sounds exactly like the phones out to me (without effects of course). Anyone disagree?

I wanted a full thickness ESP but after years of hunting I finally gave it up and purchased the same guitar in this video in dead mint condition. The all new price is ridiculous and definitely not worth it as you can get a self designed custom made guitar for the amount. Nevertheless, it’s what I started playing 40 years ago ( Japanese well made Ginza lawsuit ) so now that circle is complete. I had two LP’s before, standard and traditional but this one actually feels better to play. Sound wise, I use a ton of gain so I really can’t tell that difference.

I just saw Sevendust and their guitarist used the Tone Master Pro. I was shook!

It really is a very cool product with a great idea. It works perfectly well at home or when plugged into a pedalboard, delivering the sound of your guitar directly to you. But in a real live concert situation, it's not reliable. The sound drops out frequently. Companies need to start producing this type of in-ear monitor at 5GHz, as they already do with Wireless Guitar Systems.

I want to love the GT1k Core. I love its features, but have had horrible issues with noise and degradation of signal using it in 4cm with my EVH Stealth. As soon as I engage the loops it gets a loud high pitched whine and terrible noise added to the signal. It isn't gound loop. It doesn't happen if I run direct from the core's output into the front of the am- only with the loops engaged. Built in noise gates don't help. Odd thing is if I add a mastering fx block (only works on the rock setting) then all that noise disappears. I gooogled the problem and I'm not the only one - the forums were filled with people with the same issue. I want to love it but if I can't figure out and fix the issue

Setting up my EVH Stealth with the GT 1k core in 4cm.. Attempting to find unity gain level (using my daw through the attenuator). Plugged directly into the amp i leveled it out at a perfect -12db. When I introduced the GT into the signal in 4cm with zero effects blocks engaged (except for the send /return block). My levels are spiking above +10.. It sounds horrible. I have the sends and returns set to 100 but lowered them to 20 on each side which still clips but sounds even worse with cut outs and signal drops. What am I missing?

I may or may not have seen Metallica’s Axe Fx 3 at a concert…. Allegedly 😉 I only saw James, but first amp was the Mesa MKIIC++ and second Amp Diezel VH4. I could not see the Impulse Responses, but assume they are Mesa or Marshall. I was also told there’s a Roland Jazz Chorus for clean.

In output settings I do not see "Main out" (just Out), and, in particular, when I click on this "Out", there is not "Output lever", I can find just "Output select"" and and Global EQ". Is there really a difference between the core version and full version"? How can I set the output level on the core? Thank you.

I grabbed the CORE after a great experience with the Katana amps, and through the higain modelers ended up being a Marshall fan as well after 4 decades of playing lol. Okay, so I just bought a second Katana 100 MkII head. The first one goes to a Katana 212 cabinet. The second one goes to the 12 " Celestion in my JCM800 until I get another 212 Katana cabinet. I have then both in stereo expand, line our of the master goes to power amp in of the slave using a standard mono audio cable. I have both amps programmed identical; preamp/eq and send/return before the effects. So, all effects are in the loop on both. My pedal board is plugged into the effects loop return of the master and then goes through all the onboard effects and to the line out and power amp. I get audio through both amps, but it's not stereo. I get no stereo effect with any chorus or phaser or any delay or reverb. I get the same exact audio out of both amps at the same time, no slap back or ping pong effect at all. What am I missing here? Both are Mk2 heads programmed identical. What am I missing? Why am I not in stereo?

i find that fuzz works better and sounds much clearer after overdrive. Right now i have my EQD Plume OD going into my Walrus Jupiter V2 fuzz(severely underrated very warm beautiful tones fuzz) and it sounds epic
