I am here for a Viking Daddy Santa Claus. I want a sequel immediately! Was Mrs. Claus a shield maiden? What about the elves? The tooth fairy? I need need more of this!!!
I usually describe this film for people as taking all the best parts of "Bad Santa", "Die Hard", and "Home Alone", and combining them together into one film.
the santa being real explanation from some other movie is that Santa is the one who actually gives presents but adults think they bought them because christmas magic changes their memories.
Actually, I heard that David who played Santa in this film, expressed interest in having Charlize Theron as Mrs Claus. I also hope they showed some elves 🧝♂️ 🧝 too
The wrapping paper he wrapped his wound with had pictures of Frosty the snowman which is funny cause Frosty is the one that tried to kill him and left the knife wound. Lol
Trudy is the real hero, her belief in Santa and pureness. Also, I want to make sure I correct something. Killing Santa would NEVER end Christmas for Christmas is not about Santa or gifts, it is about the Birth Of Jesus. Christ and HIS GIFT to ALL HUMANS! Merry Christmas all!
I watched this in Portugal and I was the only one laughing and thoroughly enjoying it! So I loved watching your reaction to it because it matched mine and made me enjoy it all over again!
I watched this movie for the first time and discovered your channel looking for reactions. I knew within five minutes I had found a favorite new channel. Y’all are both great, your reactions were SO MUCH FUN and so ENTHUSIASTIC. More than anything else, that is what I’m looking for in reaction channels.
The one thing this movie needed was an epilogue. You know, "Next Christmas", where a year has passed and we see what's going on with everyone. We'd see whether or not Trudi's parents get back together, what happens with Bertrude and his mom, and with Gertrude. And it could have ended with a Christmas Eve conversation with Trudi and Santa over the walkie-talkie.
So your 2 favorite movies of the year were this one (which you starred in) and The Menu (which Clarus starred in), I guess it's been a good year for Nerdy Nightly!
Your reaction was similar to me in the cinema I was laughing alot loved that Death from going up the chimney was epic and yes there needs to be a sequel with Mrs Clause.
I really enjoyed this film. Saw it in theaters. Had a couple issues with certain things, but overall loved it. Chimney kill was definitely the best death.
Loved the reaction. This is already a new favorite movie of mine, Christmas or otherwise. As for a sequel, I'm totally down with that. They should at least do an origin movie of his Viking warrior to Santa Claus transformation. PS - As of several years ago, $1000 bills were still used for very large cash amounts, so maybe divide the weight of the money by 10.
Concerning the quality of the combat scenes - kudos to producer David Leiitch (also a director and former stuntman and stuntcoordinator) and his company "87 North". They were responsible for "JOHN WICK"(co-director: David Leitch), "NOBODY", "ATOMIC BLONDE" or "BULLETT TRAIN (the last two also directed by David Leitch). This is how you shoot action-scenes!
LOL Definitely my new Xmas movie... Loved the math at the end about how much the 300mill would weigh.. aside from the son getting it out of the house.. here's another gem for it, How in the world would the snowmobile tow it?? LMAO
@Heatgrade it makwa perfect sense. It's just that so many "Santa is real" movies ignore this obviously plot hole, and I thought it was cool it was addressed. In other movies, the parents never go, "Uh... where did all these presents come from? Did you steal them?!" They just ignore that they don't believe in Santa but presents magically appear.
actually, Trudy didn't kill that guy. When Kiera (forgot her codename :P ) got up from being hit between the legs with the bowling ball, she pushed it behind her and it was the one that rammed the nail into the guy's head so his own accomplice offed him. 😁
31:10 it's shot at day light with minimal lights and then color corrected the footage later...so that everyone can see... great example watch movie NOPE.
it actually is funny and has kinda "logic" that santa was Nordic warrior.... considering timeline... I got one of mine new year movies..... really cheesy and really good one... and also actually really original idea and Die Hard and Home Alone in same movie.....
It’s funny I decided to watch this movie after seeing the part of Santa getting after the reindeer for crapping on the roof. There’s a new Christmas movie coming out this year called “Silent Night” with Joel Kinnaman that looks really good. 47:10 those drug dealers need easier access to seeing how much money they have.
wow that's interesting! I did my own casual measure once (cause I'm a numismatic nerd 🤓) weighing a fresh strap of new bills on a digital scale and came up with .2 pounds per a strap (10k if 100s, largest bill available for many years) so I was just about to type a message about the 20 pounds per 1M assumption, cool to hear an official calculation = about 22 pounds per 1M, I was close The real problem is dimensions, adds up quick
I think in this "reality" Santa is real, but he is extremely selective as to who gets presents, based on merit and whether they'd go without otherwise.
Start letting the beard grow out, and get a plastic prop sledge/war hammer and you can cosplay St. Nic by Halloween. Sequel rumors predict Charlise Theron as Mrs. Klaus, thi I'd advocate for Kathy Bates.

Give me a sequel where krampus played by Ryan Reynolds and Santa are in a buddy cop type movie looking for an evil elf
Why’d you need to say Daddy?
@@LtGhost-tb3kq because this Santa is hot.
@@KatrinaM3723 And you’d call a hot man daddy? Sounds like you missed out on a father.
@@LtGhost-tb3kq yep
I am very, very glad you found the final, chimney kill as staggeringly awesome as I did. This movie made a 35 year old man believe in Santa again.
I usually describe this film for people as taking all the best parts of "Bad Santa", "Die Hard", and "Home Alone", and combining them together into one film.
I noticed the unrealistically cheesy Hallmark Christmas tropes too making it contrast even better with the gore.
And some MIRACLE ON 34th STREET and maybe a drop of IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Made by the company that does JOHN WICK
Yes, the Coca Cola image of Santa is based off of old Norse stories of Odin delivering presents during Yule.
Making this movie even more badass lmao😂
i dont really want a sequel but i do want a prequel about his final "skullcrusher" days
Really loved this movie! And David Harbour is becoming one of my favorite actors lately. So good at playing the comic straight man.
I hope the director of this movie makes a Hellboy movie
the santa being real explanation from some other movie is that Santa is the one who actually gives presents but adults think they bought them because christmas magic changes their memories.
Sure as shit changes my BANK BALANCE. Lol.
@@vodengc520 it's Santa taking his tips using Christmas magic 🤣
That or he skips houses that already have present
The only thing that disappointed me in Violent Night was I wish they had leaned into the Viking thing even more, and talked about how he became Santa.
Christmas Magic....
Save it for the sequel!!!!
I've always wondered what Santa's fatality would look like. Guess I can thank this movie for answering that.
Seeing this version of Santa fighting the 2015 Krampus would be amazing!
When Santa began swinging the hammer, I immediately got an Abraham-Lincoln-Vampire-Hunter vibe!
Same here!!!
I hope violent night gets a sequel maybe with Mrs Claus and then the third film could have Jack Frost
😂
Actually, I heard that David who played Santa in this film, expressed interest in having Charlize Theron as Mrs Claus. I also hope they showed some elves 🧝♂️ 🧝 too
The wrapping paper he wrapped his wound with had pictures of Frosty the snowman which is funny cause Frosty is the one that tried to kill him and left the knife wound. Lol
14:36 That's a pretty damn good Evil Santa Laugh right there, if I do say so myself. Happy Holidays! :)
Based on your reactions, if you both haven't already seen them, Tucker and Dale vs Evil and the Ash vs Evil Dead series are absolute must watches!!!
Chimney death scene... "That was...." the greatest death scene in movie history!!!!
This is my family’s new favorite Christmas movie. My stepdad and I went to see it and instantly fell in love with it.
Just so you know...If you use the internet to calculate the weight of $300 million cash, you get put on a government watch list.
Merry Christmas :)
With my search history I am already on every list lol

The Santa myth goes back to Viking times, and Odin. Yes, Santa is Odin in historical reality, myth.
When was his birthday, skypilot?

Here it is, my new favourite Xmas movie.
The Die Hard and Home Alone references were gold!
Fun Fact about Santa. In the DC Universe, Santa invades Apokolypse and beats up Darkseid just to give him his yearly lump of coal.🤣🤕
Also Lobo kills Santa in the DC Universe due to Santa having a bounty on his head.

lmao I was thinking the same, they're the most similar looking people to David Harbour and Anya Taylor-Joy I think I've ever seen
Your reaction was similar to me in the cinema I was laughing alot loved that Death from going up the chimney was epic and yes there needs to be a sequel with Mrs Clause.
Bought my boys all their presents. " Santa " brought the one gift they wanted the most.
Greatest. Christmas. Movie. Ever.
I really enjoyed this film. Saw it in theaters. Had a couple issues with certain things, but overall loved it. Chimney kill was definitely the best death.

I love this movie so much. It impressed me so much I actually cheered a few times!
Another Xmas Classic Flick
21:25 I have the same problem with most Christmas movies, and I'm glad this one actually addressed it.
I think how it works is houses that already have presents gets skipped
@Heatgrade it makwa perfect sense. It's just that so many "Santa is real" movies ignore this obviously plot hole, and I thought it was cool it was addressed.

the fact that for the snow blower kill you actually laugh "HO HO HO" fits
I can’t wait for the sequel
In the Dresdenverse Santa is a high lord of the winter court; the leader of the wild hunt, and Odin. So this checks out.
Oh man I miss Dresden. Such cool lore.
What films? I don't recall.
@@fireeaglefitnessmartialart935 Books. The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
Besides being Die Hard, and Home Alone, it's also a bit of Bad Santa.
Your joy at this movie brought me Christmas Joy
The director also did Dead Snow.

bad guy who was pulled through the chimney: this but a flesh wound!
We always got some presents that said '"From Santa". So, maybe they really were from him.
This is so far the best reaction to this movie I have seen so far lol I'm glad that you enjoyed this movie as much as I do.
31:10 it's shot at day light with minimal lights and then color corrected the footage later...so that everyone can see... great example watch movie NOPE.
Yeah, there’s a reason why Die Hard used bearer bonds instead of cash in the corporate vault. 😏
This same director did a couple movies called "Dead Snow" that you will want to see too.
Lmao, that’s exactly how I sounded in the theatre 🤣 🤙🏻🤘🏻😈 love it!
Anya Taylor-Joy and David Harbor reacting to his movie
John Leguizamo was also in another Christmas movie, Die Hard 2
Honestly I would blow a goat to see the origin story of Nicomund the Red!
I have that T-rex sweater

David Harbour for the win!

Best. Christmas. Movie. EVER!
Well, there are bills higher than $100. It could all be in $500 bills, which would make a lot fewer bundles.
Close combat. You shouldn't use riffles or pistols. Alerts. That's why the knives. Blades, etc.
The Dad was Translucent in the Boys!
Yeah back when he was alive. Rip Translucent
I don't care if it's a sequel or prequel. I want the story of how Nick went from Viking raider to Santa.
wow that's interesting! I like how you all don't blurr everything out and irritates me saying they have to block gore/blood ... keep doing your thing I'm game
Clarus would hate to see what happens to Timothy Dalton at the end of Hot Fuzz. Lol
2 Violent 2 Night?
About the weight of the $300 million cash. Maybe they were $1000 bills? (they're rare, but they do exist).
"I can't believe, with all that security there, he managed to carry out 6,614lbs of cash." Ummm.... Christmas magic? 🤷 Lol
LOVE this movie... Mrs Clause... is the behind the scene hero!
I think in this "reality" Santa is real, but he is extremely selective as to who gets presents, based on merit and whether they'd go without otherwise.
I think a sequel is in development.
Full disclosure. JSYK, Cocaine Bear does have mid credit stuff.
They got their headlights on cause they don't want to hit a tree on the way in. Lol

We saw it in theaters! We loved that movie!
This movie is so great drunk.
Watch Hansel and Gretel witch hunters I really like that movie
I love that movie
I hate to break it to you; but Santa IS real. If you'd been Nice, you'd know that.
