I enjoyed this movie so much, it’s in my every year must watch rotation now. David Harbor is fantastic. 100% confident you’ll really like him in Stranger Things.
@@rodgill9376 I see your point. The Viking backstory mixed with the Christmas magic does give it a Krampus style feel... I can't fully explain it either.
The lore of Santa having Norse tattoos isn't far off since he was a Germanic and Celtic patron saint as well as in Norse mythology Odin would be a gift bringer during Yuletide/Christmas while riding a flying chariot led but Sleipnir
13:00 random Gun Fact: the barrel of a fully automatic would be warm after 60 rounds, but not burning hot. The Suppressor on the other hand would be Very hot even after only 2 mags, so this movie is relatively accurate regarding that
I am going to make watching this movie a Christmas tradition. I watched this a few days ago and I loved it. I had saw the trailer and once I saw it on demand, I waited for nighttime just to have a cozy atmosphere to watch it. I loved this movie and every cheesy thing in it. I loved seeing your guys' reactions to the movie. I was waiting on y'all to watch this movie too.
it blows my mind no one notices David Harbor AKA Santa is crushing chestnuts with his bare hands! which you have to have crazy strong hands to do. which also hints to what happens later on in the film
I just watched this in the theatre and that nail scene was hilarious. I knew it wasn’t gonna end well when I saw the broken step but I did NOT expect it to go all the way through his chin and into his mouth. Died laughing.
19:12 That part in the film was when I laughed the hardest. And I can't wait for someone to upload the full clip. how goofy this goon is when torturing the guy. I love it! "Put your nuts in! yummy yummy!" it's like a guy trying to get a kid to smile for a picture. thank you for reacting to it so I could see it again.
I'm now fully expecting/hoping there is going to be an announcement for David Harbour to be in a prequel about this Santa's and Mrs. Claus' origin story.
Saw this in the theater than just rewatched last night with the roomies for Xmas eve. Will be part of my triple feature every year from now on...Home Alone, then Die Hard, and end with Violent Night
Happy holidays you guys. I just got done watching Violent Night just a few minutes ago myself. Was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It was violent and gory. The death scenes were wild and fight scenes were entertaining. It was funny when it needs to be. It was wholesome and emotional when it has to be. Really liked it. Although I wanted to see more of Santa's backstory as a viking warrior. It was such an interesting and unique spin on the character. This is a solid eight out of ten for me!
Just watched this last night. Had no idea what this was about but was very pleasantly surprised. Such a fun ride, like Home Alone in steroids lol. Excellent movie!
I hope this movie made enough money to make the studio consider a sequel. I need to know more about the lore, which I think lacked a bit for this one, with Santa saying he doesn’t know how everything worked. Also, we got to see a badass mrs claus kicking it with her husband. There’s so much potential with a franchise
So after watching this movie I can't help but wish this was a playable character in a Mortal Kombat game. He fights with the hammer and one of his fatalities is the chimney kill at the end.
I enjoyed this movie in theaters and absolutely loved it! Merry Christmas Bridget and Cody! Also very surprised you all haven't seen Stranger Things! David Harbour was the reason I went to see Violent Night and it's a new classic!
Saw this in theaters yesterday and it was awesome. I saw your video before I left I was like I wanna watch it so bad but I gotta wait and watch it myself first and then watch the reaction😂❤
Im surprised they didn't know about the old norse background, I was so excited they included it in little details even before the flashback! I thought it was common knowledge by now but these guys were so shocked!
LOVED this flick... as great of an action film as it is... and it is... there's some REALLY BEAUTIFUL, meaningful things hiding behind every corner... I went twice and got even more from it the second time... Mrs Clause is SUCH a hero in this flick and we never even get to see her... in some ways... she saves the whole day! and I adore the reindeer...
Great Christmas movie saw it in theaters and it was everything I wanted in a violent Christmas movie. Im adding it to my R-rated x-mas movies to watch, along with Krampus and Fatman.
Only watched this movie tonight absolutely loved it, loved the premise that he was a viking raider before becoming Santa, back in ancient celtic history alot of kings would abdicate later in life and pass power to their heir to dedicate themselves and give land to the church to try to atone for their past deeds many would later ascend to sainthood. I.e St. Gwynllyw patron saint of pirates, St. Tewdrig who came back to battle Saxon Invaders and many others. Loved the Nordic / Celtic style ink!. Ho! Ho! Ho! Siôn Corn!! Nadolig llawen pawb!!
Got so tired of those cliche hallmark romcom’s…And then this movie showed up. Watched it in the cinema with a friend and we both absolutely loved it✨ Such a refreshing movie😂
You guys should seriously watch krampus as well since you’re doing Christmas stuff, it’s a scary Christmas movie basically but a really great movie overall
5:23 What makes that joke funnier to me is the fact that Mark Wahlberg said, and I quote, “There would have been a lot of blood in the first class cabin” It also doesn’t help that Morgan is such an obvious Mark rip-off 😂😂
My brother and I saw this in the theater and it was such a great time for two young guys like us (I'm 20 and he's 18.) We both loved it. I legitimately only had one problem with this movie: the soundtrack. The scene where Santa's tearing up all the soldiers in the shed would've been the perfect place for a banging heavy metal cover of Carol of the Bells.
Yes, I want Carol the bells too. Would fit so well. But christmas time was so fun because song about peace and love when on the screen totally massacre😂. Btw hope for krampus and Carol the bells in sequel
I was gonna skip this, and then my friend told me about the orchestrations. The use of Christmas carols as part of the leitmotifs and to underscore particular emotions made my day. The whole rest of the thing was fun as hell too.
I was searching for reactions to this movie and I think this is the first time I've seen your channel but dude i love your tattoo sleeve. Not a huge horror fan, but that is sick ❤😁😁
This is the funniest reaction video I have seen, and yeah Santa is a bad ass in this movie, I don't think Batman could do this. 32:38 is the best delivery lone from Santa (my favourite).
YOUR review was fantastic... loved it almost as much as the film itself... I didn't notice it when I saw it at the theatre... BUT when Santa's putting billiard balls in the sock... there's a sweet little kitty cat at his feet... =^.^=
Did the film makers listen to "Weird Al" Yankovic's "The Night Santa Went Crazy?" ruclips.net/video/HTGlUMvbhSw/видео.html 8:43 Until it was extensively explained, this was my image of the UK's "Boxing Day.";) Hmm, an Old Norse warrior became St. Nicholas? More interesting than "Bad Santa" (2003) and in line with Futurama's Santabot;) .
As a Brit, the opening scene is hilarious to me. As it is clearly an American bar rather than a British pub and the two "Brits" have accents that are so terrible they could give Dick Van Dyke a run for his money. Could they not find two British actors in the entire United States?! Also, we don't really have doors in pubs which lead directly to the roof, so yet another hint that this scene wasn't shot in the UK. Don't even know why they included it lol
It was such a joy watching this in the movie theaters. Everyone in my theater reacted the same way around certain parts so I loved it
Yeah
my dad and i were laughing the whole time lmao
I would have but watching a Christmas movie on the couch at night when it’s either freezing or snowing outside hits different.

A mix of Die Hard, A Christmas Carol, You're Next and Miracle on 34th Street I didn't know I needed. I really enjoyed this

Even though this is not actually a horror film but it gave off those vibes a bit.
