I guess many comments deal with what you told about the car, and I am one of these guys that like and appreciate your well made video very much. However, there is this extra little something that makes this video unique and let it really stand out - and that is your safety comment on emergency braking. That is fantastic stuff! Thank you very much for making and sharing.
That's exactly what I thought after the test drive. Really curious about how EV6 GT would feel like, and also high performance Hyundai N EV and Genesis.
This car is looking great and is probably my top contender out of the E-GMP lineup so far. I'm hoping to have a luxurious feel more than anything with enough acceleration to get me through day-to-day driving in LA. This and the Cadillac Lyriq seem to be what checks most of my boxes so far.
In that case, you might want to wait out and see how GV70 and GV80 in EVs would be like. GV60 is the most sporty SUV in Genesis family, confirmed by the designers and engineers behind this car!
Nice looking interior, but I'd change the crystal sphere and input knob locations. You only use the sphere twice while driving (start/stop) and the input is going to be in constant use. It should be closer to the driver.
You asked what we think of the crystal sphere/shifter knob: I think its an excess gimmick. It. is much bigger than a simple shift PRND switch needs to be and adds complexity -- repair cost if it breaks and doesn't flip over? Can you even drive the car if the flip function fails?
This car looks amazing but what is the point of digital mirrors when the cameras stick out further than a standard mirror? Just seems like a potentially huge repair in the event of an accident or side swipe.
The only thing that makes me sad is the loss of the AR HUD. All the demos of it look really cool and useful, and it seems a bit sad to just take a step back vs allowing a driver to enable/disable the AR functions. Admittedly, I have not seen one in person yet though.
At least we know they are capable of such 😉 Was not all too dizzy with the IONIQ 5s, but it may be because it's the baby Genesis perhaps. Wonder what eGV70 got and eGV80s to come.
Thank you for this, really informative and a great review! I've ordered a Kia EV6 AWD in the UK however now I'm reconsidering after watching this video. Which is better overall (considering luxury/comfort, practicality and performance) in your view???
Unless you want Genesis brand / GV60 for a specific reason, I think EV6 - especially when you are getting AWD - is like the BEST car from Hyundai Motor Group's E-GMP built cars just yet. I personally love EV6 in all aspect. Compared to GV60, it's more roomier, more fun to drive, price competitive, list goes on.
Thanks for your video, loveit!! Does the I-Pedal needs to reconfigured each time you turn on the car or brake, like the Audi eTron, or does the I-Pedal saves and sticks with the user profile permanently until it's changed again by the user? (like Tesla).
@@CarSceneKorea that’s not good. Tesla does saves your regen preference with your profile. Higher regen is better for the environment, must be the default value.
The built-in cams would last up to 12 hours with car turned off. Footages are video-only, no audio. The purpose is exactly to be an aid in case of an accident, so if you have the option, why not! I have aftermarket dash cams on all my cars, I'd definitely go with these manufacturer built-in cams just bc they are flush and neat. It's also smartphone supported and covered under warranty, but some countries don't get these due to regulations, I heard.
Definitely not cushiony like IONIQ 5 or eG80 - comparing it to EVs to be fair - EV6 comes closest being a bit sporty, but definitely comfortable enough for city drives. Could sense that this car is geared towards sportiness for sure though.
@@CarSceneKorea With its electronic dampers it is supposed to be more comfortable than EV6. I am surprised that you felt that it is stiff. does it feel different between sport and normal driving modes ?
Honestly, I think there may not be much of a big difference comparing it to EV6. Their wheelbase is identical, weight similar and all. However, GV60 isn't "soft, comfortable" like other Genesis, that's for sure. I wouldn't really call it stiff either, but more fit to sporty driving. I need to drive it some more and definitely put it on corners to fully test that out, I had very limited city drives this time 😥 And the cabin noise was fair enough, I didn't much to complain about.
The Augmented Reality is for Navigation, the AR HUD was first introduced on IONIQ 5, but is now gone on GV60 😎 Watched the vid again and that's what I've said 😀
Or if you are referring to 17:45 I'm just pointing out that theres a HUD, not related to AR Navi shown on the cluster. Maybe that's where you got confused?
@@CarSceneKorea Yes, my fault. From 14.15 you talked about the HUD being the old type without AR and in 17.41 I saw you mentioned AR. But I misunderstood, im sorry. Great review though, I really enjoyed it and the video is so clear and sharp. I like that you go into all kinds of details about the car, which makes me want to buy this one even more, I hooope it comes to Norway. Otherwise it will probably be Gt Line EV6, AWD version. The crystal sphere is awesome in my opinion, its unlike anything else ive seen in cars. Its just a thing of beauty the entire car. Thanks for this review, really appreciate you sharing this:) Have a great day
@@Mr.Relaxed No need to be sorry at all! Thanks for watching my vid and dropping a kind comment 😍 It will be a tough call bw the EV6 GT-Line and GV60, between all those factors of price, badge, drive, space..! Be sure to test drive both, I see that you have a thing for driving the car as you're considering those two! I only have driven each car once myself too, I will soon drive some more and come up with refined review. I tried staying away from comparing GV60 to any other, but it sure did remind me a lot of EV6 GT-Line.
@@CarSceneKorea Excellent. I like reviews that are detailed and with good quality, so its always nice to see when theres something new from you. Yeah, guess its wise not to do a direct comparison, Genesis is after all the "luxury" brand in the Huyandai/Kia family, so should most likely be higher quality on all the trim levels:) Ive tested 8 ev cars in these months, and EV6 is sure up amongst the very best/or what I personally liked the best. Some minor things they should sort out, butit looks like its in motion with future update, but its to be expected on all new cars..Other than that, an awesome car
The mic picked up the artificial sound louder for some reason. You can turn it off and all glasses on GV60 are dual-pressed, it's really quiet. So those mirrors and there and cameras are for the blind spot monitors that only turn up when you put on turn signals.
@@CarSceneKorea If it is what I think it is... you won't need a key fob , cell phone, or a smart card to drive the car. Outside camera will scan your face to open doors, inside button will read your thumbprint.
The style of the GV60 is European not korean and not too futuristic, I like it. Nice thorough review and test drive, I've learned and have seen too much, more than my curiosity. 👍 Thanks for sharing.
My only issue is range. On the two wheel drive, you’ll get 283 miles, where as with the performance AWD model that drops to 243 at best. It’s time to get these high dollar wanna bees up over 300 mile range; then people will be crawling out of the woodwork to buy!

Really appreciate the comment :) GV60 AWD Performance really got the power, this car needs to be stopped like a pro as well when floored.
Acceleration looks to be impressive. Looks like Genesis will have another winner on its hands. Can't wait to see how the EV6 GT does.

The traffic lights in Korea are so cool. Like you are starting a F1 race.
Hopefully the GV60 will be available soon in Austria.

Very professional review. Thank you!

Can wait for this in the US! Waiting to put my deposit down!!
Hopefully soon!
Same same here in 🇨🇦. Crazy impressive 👏

I didn't do it myself, but others have tried that out and you can physically force the sphere to rotate if that happens!
Great sharing … thank you for this beautiful video 💕✨
Thanks for watching 😍
Gdi I love this car haha. And thank you so much for bringing us the latest Korean car news so fast!
Glad you enjoy it! My pleasure!
Can't wait to see this in the States. Hoping the camera mirrors are permitted here!
Fingers crossed 🤞
Why,? Love the pointless technology?
Great review!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
This E-SUV is a winner in all ways...inside & out.
I'm sure it's way above my brother's e-budget!
E dominating the world! 🌎

Despite the size, it does have less drag than the conventional ones. Hope they get better soon, this just being a first generation :)
We need that boost button on the EV6 GT!! 577 to 650 for 10 seconds 😉
I knowwwwwww. Imagine what they'd feel like!
That's just insane😂😂😂That thing already smashes all the top super cars.

Think the former is the case, few things from Hyundai Motor Group cars require input every time the car's been turned off. I-PEDAL is one of them.
@@CarSceneKorea that’s not good. Tesla does saves your regen preference with your profile. Higher regen is better for the environment, must be the default value.
Wird das Vorkonditionieren bei aktiver Navigation wie bei Tesla auch im Display angezeigt??

Are the cameras on the car always recording and if so, how would you access the footage? Would be useful in case of a traffic accident.

Will production model have those inside side mirror monitors?
Yes, all E-GMP based EVs have that as available options, but restrictions apply depending on a country to another, the US for example. 😢
I got in Australia I love it
Have you tried DRIFT mode!?
Can you please tell how good is the ride quality : suspensions and wind noise in the cabin

Of course. They are right-handed where the countries are.
@@CarSceneKorea ....where the countries are "south-paw".
No wireless Android Auto or Apple Car Play seems like a miss. Hopefully it can be added later with an OTA update.

Not sure why the Gv60 would have less performance than an Ev6
